“Must visit. They have a beautiful view from the tasting room and the food is delicious. Highly recommend the fried chicken skins, sourdough bread, and the half chicken. Also recommend making a reservation or checking ahead of time to see if they are booked for an event.”
“Waitress was a sweetheart - very kid friendly. Drinks and food were great. Pretty crowded for upstate but it was new years eve weekend! We got the steak and the pot pie. We will be back!”
“Absolutely wonderful spot with delicious food. Friendly service, and I love all the art and fresh baked goods. Historical building, cozy ambiance. We had several vegetarians in our party and we were all able to find great choices. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Grilled cheese, split pea soup, quiches, homemade veggie burger, salads, veggie wrap -- plenty to choose from.”
“Excellent service- very personal. Delicious food. Obviously the cook takes great pride in his work! Great wine. No room for improvement! Would definitely go again!”
“What a quaint, family oriented, and such delicious food. My husband had the Mussel with the best red pasta sauce. And I had the tasty Cod, clams, and mussels. It is very authentic, fresh, and full of robust flavors.”
“I got in and I was greeted, I responded and asked for a coffee in the same breath. I was offered a free one brewed just for me. It does not happen often these days. The bar has a strong local vibe apparently revolving around hunting. Someday I must come back to have a beer here.”
“I'm an ice cream junkie and when I stopped on my way home from visiting PA, I was so excited to see they had the Maine blueberry ice cream which happens to be my all time favorite fast, courteous and affordable”
“pelkey’s is by far my favorite bar when I come upstate. Don’t let the interior fool you…both the drinks, the food, and the service are absolutely top notch. And the owner is the friendliest coolest dude this side of the Delaware. If you’re in callicoon, it’s a can’t miss!”
“This is sch a nicely renovated historic building. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The food was presented beautifully and was plentiful. Our bill was reasonable, and the waitress was friendly and informative without being intrusive. They offer drink specials and have live music on occasion. It's really a nice place to frequent.”
“I have gone there five times tried diffrent food everytine it was excellent the people there are very nice and great at their job I'll keep going the place is ”
“We came out to these parts for a work retreat and when our original dining plans fell through, we came here and we had a blast. Everything was delicious and some dishes were better than the others.Recommends -- Burger- Chicken (could’ve had more seasoning / flavor, it’s smoked so that part was yummy)- Spaghetti + Meatballs (great for two ppl)- Pork chop (great for 2-3ppl)- Clams (decent, def tastes like the ocean but in a good way)- wings (could’ve been more crispier, but the reaper sauce on the side was delicious if you like spicy).- calamari (delicious!)- garlic bread (could’ve had more garlicy flavor + salt but it was yummy)”
“I was SHOCKED at how flavorful the grilled chicken sandwich is! Wow! I don’t know what the rub or seasoning is they use, but it’s unbelievable. I’m a picky guy who has eaten at some very good places. I’m not even exaggerating when I say this was the best grilled chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Try it.”
“i loved everything about the fire station! the cocktails were delicious and creative, the food was excellent; the chicken thigh was incredibly crispy, the hummus was homemade and super tasty, and i also really enjoyed the skirt steak and corn. the atmosphere is super cool and the trim on the windows and doors is awesome too.”
“I've only ever had their ice cream, but it's really good. Creamy and flavorful. Prices are very reasonable. They serve a lot of lunch menu type items that I need to try too!”
“Amazing spot, great food, pancakes bigger than the plate. Sweet ladies, always working hard. Love this place for meeting friends. ? Great service. Warm atmosphere. 10/10.”
“It was a Sunday afternoon, My wife and I took a friend out for a bit, and we decided to head to Rafters. We enjoyed lunch and a few drinks. The place started to fill up with musicians, so we stayed for some of the music. If you're looking for a blast from the past, give Rafters a visit, a cool ”
“I've been here several times for brunch and completely loved it. They offer a nice wide range of baked goods and breakfast plates. Coffee is excellent for those coffee lovers. Highly recommend stopping by.”
“I grew up in Queens and have sampled Pizza from all over New York City, and every time I have a slice when I'm visiting this small town of Jeffersonville I am blown away by how good this Pizza is! Crispy thin crust perfect balance of sauce and cheese and I love that the sauce is just a little on the sweet side. One of my favorite pizzas from anywhere!”
“If you haven’t been, you gotta stop in. Everything about the place is awesome. Extremely friendly staff, great food, and of course great beer. If you’re not a drinker honestly it’s worth a stop in for the food and the atmosphere.”
“You might think this is your average local pizza shop, but it’s so much more. The guy running the register and taking orders was fast, friendly, and very helpful when asked for recommendations. We were thrilled that there were so many fresh and delicious vegan options. We especially liked the BBQ vegan wings, Thai peanut salad, and the lo mein noodle bowl (it is heavy on the sauce, so if that’s not your thing you might want to go with a different option). We went on New Year’s Day when it was particularly busy. In spite of that, the food was presented promptly and beautifully plated.Vegetarian options: Fresh and delicious vegan options”
“The owner is a vety nice gentleman from before you even enter. He made me a FRIEND the first day I took my MOM there. Now everyone she visits me KASOS is a REQUIREMENT!”
“This is a, must-do vacation if you’re looking for a pet-friendly stay in the Catskills. We stayed in Bobbie’s FarmHouse and everything was perfect about this place. It’s a good mix of rustic & comfort while offering an escape from the city. The staff is kind and friendly, the breakfast is farm fresh and the property has wonderful green spaces you can enjoy with your dog.@waldentherescuedog had the best time!Rooms: Clean, comfortable and spaciousFood & drinks: Farm fresh and hearty”
“Love our saturday breakfasts here. Food is good. Mamy gluten free delicious options too.Dietary restrictions: There gluten free option are the best I have found.”
“Such a cozy out of the way place, but the drive is gorgous through the lower Catskills farm country.Fun place to stop in and the folks always have a Welcoming smile.”
“The food tasted pretty good. My only complaint is how expensive it was for a “large” Stromboli. $30 for it and it’s not very big at all. I remember getting Stromboli from Peppinos in callicoon and how it was a giant “U” shape so I was expecting something a little similar. It wasn’t enough to feed our family (2 adults and 3 toddlers)”
“It was very good had a ton of options to pick from. The service was wonderful and I was able to go sit on top on the roof balcony to enjoy my ice cream which was very lovely. And there serving sizes were very big for the prices. Definitely will be going back ???????”
“What a beautiful place!!!We were greeted warmly and promptly. The bar had a very friendly feel, like everyone knew each other. The build is beautifully renovated. Each room having it's own look and feeling. The main dining room has a fireplace focal point that is beautiful. Every window has its own scene that's nicely designed. The white diningroom is feminine and airy with a wall of windows. The pool room however, is like stepping back in time. So incredibly cool. I enjoyed my brief stay.”
“Favorite brunch shop to flock to on the weekends. Friendly staff, delicious food, and especially love the play nook for kids. Tastefully decorated with vintage pieces, an array of books, and overall the place to be with your family. A must visit!”
“We've been coming to Bethel annually every Woodstock anniversary weekend...We pass Hectors all the time. Last year, we finally decided to attend; they were hosting a musical event. It was the best experience EVER. The grounds were beautiful. Amazing ambiance, great music, they had a food tent making burgers, etc...it was great! The people working the event were friendly and welcoming. There were many vendors with a huge variety of 1960's era related items. My husband attended the original Woodstock festival and he blended right in and felt at home. The event had an authentic Woodstock "vibe". What a wonderful, magical, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. Moving forward, we will include Hectors as part of our annual visit to Bethel. Thank you Hector's Inn!”
“I absolutely love this place! First off the owners are super cool. Their food never disappoints. Definitely a great place to sit, eat, and drink good coffee. They have a nice deck. The wifi works which is important in this area! Definitely one of my favorite breakfast places.”
