“Oh my god theyve got some GOOOOOD vegan cheese here. Get the garlic knots.Vegetarian options: Vegan so totally vegetarian friendly. Their fake meats are pretty good. Overall a good experience.Kid-friendliness: They hang up drawings kids had made for them. Theres a book nook for them to read from.“
“Strangebird is a beautiful space and was bursting with energy when I stopped in for dinner. The decor reminded me of NYC or San Francisco, inspired design. The beers on tap are not your ordinary IPAs although they have a few of those. Sours, Belgians, and other interesting brews. I took home Mount Hope which is a lager with Pinot Noir grapes. I enjoyed the beers I tried, it pays to experiment. The food for me was decent, I opted for the smash-burger, which was serviceable, but the pizza looks like a good option. I would return to Strangebird. Outstanding service at the bar.“
“I've had pizza at restaurants, bars, food trucks, venues, and many, many random places. Not only locally, but every where in my travels. I was never a fan of deep dish style pizzas - I'm a true NY thin pizza lover. You know what I'm talking about. The kind you fold like a taco and you have to do the "lean over" as you take a bite, so the oil doesn't drip from the pepperoni cups down your hands and all over yourself - Mmmm. Then...that came to a halting stop when I stepped foot in "Pizza Wizard". Their pizza is almost addictive. That crust ! OMG that crust !! FYI - They did get the 'Best Pizza' award in the Rochester "City" magazine. KUDO's Pizza Wizard, now can you please make a 'Crust' flavored pizza, because the flavor of the crust alone should have have a spot light. To everyone else, you need to check it out for yourself - I don't care if you're not a deep dish style pizza lover, just try it.“
“A Symphony for the Mouth. The perfect pizza. The best pizza in Rochester. Pizzaiolo and boss Jerry makes culinary works of art the rest of us call "pizzas." I've eaten pizza all over Rochester and hands down La Famiglia is our favorite place to go for pizza...pizza mervigliosa. The thin crust is crispy on the bottom and chewy on the top. The sauce is not overly seasoned nor salty, and you can taste tomato rather than oregano or some other additive. Lots of toppings. Everything just plain works together. Thanks also to "Jean from Long Island" who is a sincere, kind and knowledgable person who served our drinks and pizza. Made this meal a pleasure.Seriously, if you love pizza you have to have it here at La Famiglia. No other pizzeria comes close.“
“It's all about the meat here, home made meat sauce for them garbage plates is prime. Best west side cheese steak subs and the unique selection of sausages is amazing here. From mild & hot to Josh Allen, jalapeno, & french toast breakfast sausage it's all so good.“
“A great dinner at Fiorella tonight. A cozy spot by the public market, this went under our radar for a long time until some friends recommended we give it a try.The food was incredible (for the most part), as well as the service. We came unbeknownst to us on gnocchi night (Thursdays), and the pizza special was meatball which we had to try. My main, the sausage and polenta, was absolutely delicious. I watched a lot of the chicken cutlet dishes come out while we were waiting and was wondering if I made the wrong choice, but I definitely didn't. Next time I'll definitely give the cutlets a try.Dessert was also killer. The lemon cookies with a scoop of the sweet cream gelato were incredible. One downside and what I am seeing on other reviews that I can corroborate is the Cacio e Pepe was just bland pasta and some cheese. Visually this dish looked amazing so I'm not sure how it missed on flavor so bad. A minor blemish on an overall wonderful dinner. Can't wait to come back here.“
“Went for Valentine's Day and had a great time. the restaurant itself is quaint, with a nice relaxing vibe. The homemade pasta( I had the vodka sauce) was really tasty. the stuffed chicken special with the red pepper sauce was on another level. The hostess and our server were extremely friendly. We will be back for sure. oh and the piano man was crushing it that night, rebook that man!“
“Love this place. Wings and burgers are exceptional. In fact, wings are some of the best in the area. Haven’t tried the pizza yet but everyone loves it. Reasonable prices. Service is top notch. Great atmosphere. Fun people. A good place to watch the game.and have a few drinks.“
“First of all, I love their pizza. On my top 3 list. What was so special was that they helped us with my daughter's gender reveal. Also because the owner made the pizza himself for this occasion and used the sauce to make a G for a girl. All the staff came out to help us with this celebration and they were all so kind and thoughtful. They said it was the first time they ever did a gender reveal and on the spot too. Let's not make it the last!“
“Best Reuben I have ever eaten, and I am definitely a Reuben snob!! Service was great and everybody in our group of 6 from Alabama loved their food! We all wanted to go back but didn’t find the time during our limited time in Rochester. Highly recommend!!“
“Gluten free pizza and mocktails! What a fun place for food and drinks! They have a wood oven they make all their pizzas in, minus the gluten free. Gluten free is prepared and cooked separately to reduce cross contamination. Be prepared to wait +20 minutes for a gf pizza. I ordered the pizza special on the gluten free crust. Not bad! It's a bit thicker (not full Detroit but not NYC thin). Overall, not bad. I would order it again, but this wouldn't be my first choice for a GF pizza. The crust fine, a little dense and premade. They have a couple of fun mocktail options that aren't some overpriced lemonade junk. I would recommend going for the atmosphere and drinks (alcoholic or not). I'm excited to see what else I can try on the menu. The staff are so friendly and helpful! All my questions were answered and it was so fun watching everyone cook at the pizza oven! Street parking and small lot for customers, both free.“
“I judge every restaurant by their Caesar salad….they passed the test! Also, HIGHLY recommend the Fig Blossom cocktail. The balance of flavors was perfect. It was very refreshing & laid back. Not overwhelming with sweetness or acidity. Made for a great double date! It’s very busy & noisy, which isn’t my favorite, but it’s clear that they are a hit with locals!“
“Visited the Rabbit Hole Tavern tonight after hearing rave reviews and it did not disappoint! My chicken sandwich was probably the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I highly recommend visiting here if you are looking for a fantastic meal! We will definitely be back!“
“A bit overhyped. "The best in Rochester" I've heard a few times.Only thing preference wise I wasn't a fan of was the sauce and dough. Tasted bland. The cheese and pepperoni were great and cooked well. Smokes Pontillo's and Salvatore's off the map.8 outta 10“
“I called in my order and the man on the phone taking my order seemed like I was putting him out calling my order in! We ordered a large pizza, light sauce, 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 plain cheese. When we get there, there is a sign on the register 'Cash Only'. Now, I thought why did this grown man taking my order not tell me on the phone. A surprising coincidence they have an ATM in the store. Are they getting a cut of the ATM surcharge? Luckily I had enough cash. The pizza was flat and looked like old dough was used. The crust took up about 2 inches of the pizza, then about 1 inch of just dried red sauce. With a light sprinkle of cheese in the center. Only a few pepperonis were on half. Across the street behind the firehouse is the best pizza Rochester has had since Bay and Goodman pizza... Perri's. So- pass by Pizza Shack and go directly to Perri's!“
“A friend and I tried this restaurant for the first time last night and had a great experience. In addition to their extensive menu, they have a great vegan menu. Our food was prepared quickly and we both enjoyed our meals. The portions were so generous we were able to take home leftovers. The atmosphere is pleasant and the location is convenient to Eastman Theatre, where we attended a concert afterwards. I highly recommend Strombolis. They've been in business for 30 years and I can see why!“
“A build your style pizza place with many unique sauces and possible combinations. Will have to try wings and dessert a different day. While I prefer a thicker crust (which was a possible upgrade that I declined for my first visit) we tried the "thingamajig" and the "Rochester" -- both were very good. Kids selections were much less adventurous. My only negative would be the cost, especially for large families. A local competitor has "kids eat free on Sunday"(with adult purchase) I did not see any smaller size pizzas, coupons, kid friendly pricing or promotions to the liking. We spent here for 4 what I'd spend normally for a small family party. We would maybe return on a date night, but not with the whole crew.Kid-friendliness: Kids will like the ability to pick and choose what they want, but it's not cheap“
“A great place in an unlikely spot: an old Abbott's in a plaza that has seen better days. Lovely people and good food. We found them because our regular spot for safe gluten-free food was temporarily closed and we just keep going back. They have gluten-free pastries including apple fritters--a must try! Would love to see more vegetarian options show up, but they are very agreeable and understanding if you request light cheese or no cheese. The regular pizzas are also amazing; really good sauce and crust. Highly recommended.“
“Love love love! While my family orders from Two Ton Tony's, I order from New Ethic, and I'm never disappointed. I feel lucky to have such a great option for dairy free pizza- and their milkshakes are incredible too! Matt and Kathy are great along with the teens who work there. Quality control is on point, and last time... I couldn't decide between a traditional pizza and my favorite- the pickle pizza. It's sooooo good!! I highly recommend New Ethic. You're treated like family if you're a regular, and I always look forward to going there. The dining room is back open as well!! :-) Go try it, even if you're not vegan. You won't be disappointed!!Dietary restrictions: I'm so grateful for a dairy free option nearby!! Woot!“
“Been going here when they was called Yemani's. I was going here before the Feds raided (2001) them as if they were criminals. These my peoples!!!! Young boi tried to stab me in there and Joe disarmed the little MF. ???Big Shout out to Joe and Salah. #700 if you get a sub make sure that bread toasted.“
“Great pizza & wings. Asked for thin crust cheese and pepperoni. The sauce flavor was wonderful.Wings were medium and nicely done.Parking: Located on the corner so parking is good but leaving can be tricky as the sight line of cars coming from the corner may surprise you.“
“Went for Bloody Mary drink which was excellent. They have the specialty ones only Sunday yet very enjoyed their in-house made. Server VERY friendly, pleasant. Was very nice, comfortable there. Didn't have any food but will go again for sure.“
“Never thought I would be saying this, but…I’m darn near speechless. What a heavenly experience I had at Swan Dive!Pizza was the best I’ve ever had! EVER! It only took 45 minutes to come out, too! You’d think pizza of that quality would take DAYS to make!!!Give these mfs their doggone roses!!!!!!!!“
“Absolutely amazing vegan food. So many options and not just the standard stuff. We had the fried chicken sub, steak with onions and peppers over pasta with sauce and chicken fingers and fries...all vegan. Every single thing was perfect. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure!“
“We are extremely pleased with our Christmas catering order. Chicken French, Chicken Parm, pasta, salad, and more were all packed perfectly and carried right on time out to our car on Christmas Eve. Everything was delicious, we will be back!“
“If you’re in the Rochester area, I highly recommend Linda’s and more specifically their pickle pizza with the ranch sauce base. The pizza was made to perfection and the sauce was creamy and tangy. They also had an old bay fry pizza that was introduced today (2-16-24) as part of their Funky Friday line up for a limited time. Being from Jersey I had to try it, and it did not disappoint. A must try if you love old bay fries. I hope to see it become a permanent item on the menu. Thank you Linda’s staff for the great pizza and super friendly atmosphere!“
“Pizza Krunch is a fantastic new pizzeria. Some of the best Brooklyn-style slices I’ve had since moving to Roc!I tried the Buffalo, BBQ Chicken, and Veggie. All styles were delicious, the dough had a delicious taste and I’m told it’s made in-house. The service was fast and easy, and enjoy the chicken on both the Buffalo and BBQ.Highly recommend this pizza spot, especially if you’re craving a NYC style slice!“
“I ordered the Buffalo Bills pizza for the playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. First off, they contacted me when the game was rescheduled and offered accommodations so that I could get the pizza and bake it myself as they weren’t open on Monday when the game would be played. THEN called back again to let me know they were going to open on Monday after all and scheduled a time for me to pick up my pizza. Awesome customer service and only outdone by the delicious pizza!! Fair price as well!! I would highly recommend Savastano’s , give them a try you won’t be disappointed!!! 5 ⭐️’s“
“This is our favorite Mark's Pizzeria location. We literally have a Mark's location 2 miles from our home but we drive to this location because of their outstanding service, wonderful food & if there is ever an issue with our order, they happily correct it. Everyone who greets you is so friendly & helpful. We also like that there is a convenient store right there & we can pick up additional treats. Great location!!!“
“Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and owner and welcoming regulars at the bar as you walk in. Good specials and knowledgeable waiter who was their chef before. Food was solid but toast was overcooked and burnt. Serves until 10 so good for a late night dinner.“
“Ricci's has been around forever it seems. I grew up near Greece and can remember driving by for at least 30 years. Always a decent meal. We stopped in early on a Friday and weren't sure we would get in, but most the people were getting takeout. So we had a little table for a nice little dinner. I won't say it is my favorite Italian restaurant. But it is always consistent and a good meal. They do Italian food right. Apparently they make great pizzas here also, never think of a restaurant as a takeout pizza place. I hope to try soon. Try them out sometime.“
“I've had Amico's all of 4 times now. Two of which were people bringing the pizza into work or a party, and we loved those pies. Both those times were great. Since they don't deliver out to our part of West Irondequoit, we stopped here twice now on our own.The first time we just did a normal pepperoni pie, and garlic parm wings. Very basic, and we didn't love it, didn't hate it. But it was different from when we had it before. (I will say neither my wife nor I liked the garlic parm sauce, mainly because it didn't stick, and was not very well coated making the wings just vaguely butter flavored. We found that first pie was too thick, but it wasn't bad.We just had it a second time Friday, and asked our friends how they ordered, and all said they had done thin crust. Well, that was the key. The thin crust was what we were used to there, and it was a great pie. Did regular Boss Sauce on the wings, so they were great.Got chicken tenders for our daughter, and they were very thick and juicy as well. So, now that we got the order down, we highly recommend this place.(Pic is of their regular crust, not the thin.)“
“Tried their pepperoni pizza and sweet & sour wings! Will definitely try their fish fry, subs, and French bread pizza! It’s a little travel for me but worth the trip if it’s good food!!!Parking: A few spots available right in front of door“
“Server Meghan set the tone of our evening with her friendly, prompt, and diligent attention to detail and excellent service! Branca is a beautiful space in an awesome location. The food is Italian cuisine and it is done so very well. Fresh ingredients prepared with elegance and style. Highly recommend Branca Midtown. And Meghan“
“Best pizza around hands down !! We’ve tried MANY pizza places and there is always something wrong, but not here ! Pizza and wings are always cooked perfectly, they get our order right with little details we ask for (like light sauce on one pizza but reg on the other), and they actually add toppings to the pizza instead of skimping like every other place! We will only eat from here ! Great people who care and delicious food!“
“Edit to my original review: we are here eating tonight at BTB. Our server, Emily, was very friendly! She helped us get an appetizer for the table and our drink order settled. The food was delicious ? we got an order of Poutine, a classic cheeseburger and the buffalo chicken quesadillas. We also got two kids menu options for our girls. They ate it all up! I am super thankful to Matt for helping us navigate our way back to this restaurant. We will come back! Our server, Salina, was kind and attentive. She helps us navigate through our requests as many of the things we wanted were unavailable. The Cajun Chicken Pasta and bland and spicy. Almost inedible. Settled for the fried dough bites, and they were just air- no doughy. Will try again and make safer choices next time.“
“Love Tony’s Birdland. Been a long time customer from back when on corner of Britton Rd and Dewey Ave when hot dogs where 3/$1. We have never gotten bad food from Tony’s. Our order has alway been right no matter if we call order in or place online. Delivers fast and hot. Delivery driver always is friendly with a smile on his face. Even the staff is friendly when you call no matter how busy they may be. As long as Tony’s Birdland is around, they have a life long customer with us.“
“My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch at Guida's this Saturday-we heard good things about the new owner and wanted to check it out. We are so glad that we did-- the food was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend this place. It is a clean and tidy pizza shop, the owner is very friendly and it is evident that he loves what he does. He knew customers by name as they walked in. My husband and I watched as several customers' orders were created. They were done with great care. Marcin (the owner) takes pride in making great food and it is obvious when you eat there. Every pizza pie is personally made by him and they all looked so yummy. Our pie was cooked perfectly and it was, hands down, the best pizza crust EVER. The garlic parm wings were out of this world. First of all, they were huge, they were nice and hot with perfectly crispy skin, yet they were tender inside. (not dried out and gross) We will absolutely eat here again-- the food was great, the service was stellar, and the place was clean. Excellent job!“
“We LOVE Two Ton Tony's! It's our favorite pizza place as a family, and we're also treated like family. :-) The food is always delicious and consistent. We've also had some catering, and it was wonderful too. It's mostly a place for take-out, but you can dine in too. The Two Ton Zaa is really special. When we have a big party, it's always a hit getting these HUGE pizzas, and guests rave about the taste. <3 We'll never forget the octopus pizza (pepperoni and olives made up the octopus) that they made for our daughter's birthday. We love Two Ton Tony's!Kid-friendliness: It's very kid friendly! They even have holy cow cookies, Ice cream, and candy for purchase. There's also a couple of arcade machines in the restaurant too. <3 Check out the fun mural while you wait, or say hi to Tony! He's great at remembering people by name!“
“The customer service was wonderful, the food was good and the order was correct, and the price was great!Dietary restrictions: I needed more ricotta cheese in my calzone. They kindly accommodated. I recently went through throat cancer and find it hard to swallow.Kid-friendliness: The man at the counter was very nice.“
“Today I tried out Salty Bread Pizza Cafe’s new location. I bought the gourmet BBQ pizza on the salty French bread, a cronut, and a loaf of salty bread. Everything was DELICIOUS! The new location is cute and great for pick up/take out. I ordered in person for to-go and it didn’t take long at all for them to make my pizza. The employees there were all so welcoming and nice! 100% recommend this cafe!“
“Very cute local pub. We had fried pickles wedges. Local draft IPA for $3.50. The staff was very nice. We also had the bologna sandwich, onion rings, cheeseburger and fries. We did order pink center for the burger. It was well done. We noted the receipt stated no pink.“
“Came from out of town & decided to give Perri’s a try. It was EXCELLENT! Ordered a sheet pizza with pepperoni & 24 boneless wings! The pizza was cooked perfectly & delicious! OMG the Bourbon wings were SO good! My only complaint is I wish I would have ordered more wings!! My go to pizza place everytime I’m in town now!Delivery was quick & efficient!“
“I needed a pick me up and a warm meal to help me get through the double I had to work tonight. I’m so glad I choose Krispy Krunchy Chicken!! Everything was so good! Hit the spot! Thank you so much for helping me get through the night! Happy Holidays ☺️“
“Acme is a classic Monroe Avenue bar serving up good drinks and food. They have some of the crisper, bigger chicken wings as well as all your other favorite fried foods, and great pizza!Drinks here are usually strong and the beer list is good.“
“Ordered a bbq chicken bacon pizza and a cheese pizza with wings have to say it was pretty amazing the service was great had it delivered to the hotel we’re staying at the gentleman who delivered was very pleasant the service when calling was great the prices are reasonable over all great place to order from will be ordering again when we have a stay in Rochester“
“Great place to connect with Rochester history at the site where fifteen courageous Rochester women voted in 1872, including Susan B Anthony. Proprietors Paul and Mai are always welcoming and dedicated to helping the neighborhood thrive. Food ranges from pizza to healthy wraps and gluten free options. A great place to meet for coffee, hang out, or stop in after a visit to the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House.“
“Um, wow! My jaw dropped with the first bite. I was not expecting that pizza to be that good. Tried the white garlic pepperoni slice. Definitely the typical NYC style crust. Delicious every bite! Maybe it was just my eyes but I never saw the price until told by the cashier, $4.20. Pricey slice but taste so nice. I do wish the pizza was covered in the case and workers didn't talk over the food as it's being prepared.“
“Nice little family-owned pizzeria with great food. Off the beaten path a bit so I would consider this place “a hidden gem” for sure. Reasonably priced, timely orders, and they deliver too. Red pizza sauce to me is pretty authentic and have 3 or 4 different crust options. We switch between thin and regular depending on type and toppings. The thin reminds me of pizza I grew up on downstate (if slices were wider I’d fold it for sure!). We are happy with their Calzones, breakfast pizza, and wings as well. I also appreciate that the pick ups & exchanges are brief and they get you in and out. However brief though, the staff is always polite, friendly and just down to earth which keeps us coming back as well.“
“When I'm in New York this is my go-to pizza shop. I've tried every restaurant that sells pizza in and around Rochester and I keep going back to Carbone's because they make a good-tasting pizza the price is fair and it's always hot and fresh.Parking: Always a place to park.“
