We have been here several times for brunch and a couple of times for dinner. Delicious salad with greens, grape tomatoes and fresh red onions cut over a chicken milanese. “We three ate here today. Tony, visiting from Ireland, and I each had the 1/2 rack of ribs which we both agreed was excellant, fall off the bone good. I had as my 2 sides collard greens and corn. Both sides were very good, seemed to have a slight pickled flavor and went down easily. She had the pulled pork sandwich, which she found excellent to include the thin bread, and she had to have the bread pudding for dessert, which was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, so we had to help her finish it as it was too big for one person! Definitely the best rib place for both ribs and sides, we look forward to returning. The interior may seem a bit small but in the good sunny sumertime they have outdoor seating for well over a hundred diners. There's plenty of free parking, it's all located in the area behind Fairchild's Funeral parlor. The service is friendly and timely. “I apologize for not writing this review earlier, but I did have the complete honor and privilege to Dine here this past Sunday, March 3, 2024. From start to finish it was perfect. I am in the Restaurant business and have been for the past 35 years. To be quite honest it is really hard for any establishment to float my boat, especially in this day and age. As Server Jamal was phenomenal, very professional, and understanding. I arrived with a Guest a bit late for a Sunday evening and still was treated like royalty. The Chef even came out to adhere to some requests which I found simply unparalleled. From start to finish it was an epic journey of culinary perfection and straight-out perfect Hospitality. “The new ownership is just what this Mineola institution needed to refresh its brand. The staff is friendly/laissez-faire in that typical "Long Island" way (if you live here, you get it). The bar side can be a bit cramped on busy nights but the restaurant side is very spacious. The copious number of TVs make it ideal for Sunday football and they do occasionally rent the space for private events. The menu has been updated and upgraded but still retains that bar food charm. The wings are of the well-done variety, if you like that and are plenty spicy (although, your taste may vary). I enjoyed the addition of hot pepper flakes on their hottest wings. The baked clams, giant pretzel and quesadillas are perfect apps while the full menu is surprisingly extensive with meatloaf, pot and Sheppard's pie, and a triple meat blend burger that knocks it out of the park. Prior to my last visit, it had been years since visiting Cornerstone and I'm glad I found my way back to this solid neighborhood pub.“

The second choice for starters for me is the simple bruschetta, the bread is crunchy and the ingredients nice.The main course we ordered chicken piccata, which is my usual go to in an Italian restaurant . My son could not stop eating it.When they say they are famous for the rigatoni I agree with them 110%, the creamy sauce in the rigatoni makes hell of a difference very hard to describe. It was very delicious.Dessert sampler is the bonus in the family style financially speaking. “Ordered from this place for the 1st time and eventhough i only live about 10 minutes away it took the uber driver 23 minutes to get the order to me..... even with that being said, the food came hot and it was delicious. The only thing i wish is that they would supply the utensils needed to crack open the crabs but if you have some industrial scissors and a good hammer and forks you can make it work. I would absolutely recommend this place even for ordering if you live near by it is worth it. next time i want a seafood boil i will go to this location in person to be able to experience the restaurant itself, the staff, and the service.“

We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners.We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade.
