“We’ve been going here for at least a decade, but this is our first time leaving a review. It’s an excellent restaurant — cozy and comfortable, with a great mix of Japanese dishes, including traditional sashimi and sushi, along with some fun and creative specialty rolls. They also have a menu of traditional Korean dishes, which are excellent.

Jay, the chef and owner, and his wife Jenny are wonderful hosts. They consistently turn out great food, and after all these years, this remains a local favorite. It’s BYOB, so grab a bottle of wine or some beer and come make yourself at home.

This time, we started with some gyoza and a kani salad, both of which were excellent. Then came five or six different specialty sushi rolls. The sushi is always fresh, delicious, and generous, with a great mix of traditional flavors and more creative combinations. There’s always so much to choose from that it’s hard to pick just a few rolls, and we always end up ordering more than we planned.

The Udon Bokkeum was the standout of the meal. It was absolutely delicious. The fresh vegetables and mushrooms were cooked perfectly, the noodles were thick and tender, and the beef was succulent and flavorful. Everything came together really well, with the tender beef and perfectly cooked vegetables mixed with the thick, chewy noodles. It was a fantastic dish and one we’ll definitely be ordering again.

After coming here for more than 10 years, we can honestly say the food and experience have remained consistently great. The food is always fresh, the portions are generous, and there’s a great variety of both Japanese and Korean dishes. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Japanese and Korean dining experience. It’s one of our favorites, and we always look forward to coming back.“

“I’m a tenant in the 400 plus units at Abbey Woods - just a mile from the restaurant and definitely NOT in favor of your delivery policy.
I have to meet your driver 3 stories down at the front door because they will not come in the building to deliver/ your place is the restaurant in town that has this ridiculous idea of how to do business! It definitely affects me as to where I’m going to order from as I’m sure other tenants feel the same way.
Having said that - I think I just had the BEST meatball grinder that I’ve had in years.
I think I would use you more often if only you allowed your delivery folks to use the elevator 🤔🤔“

Waiter was not friendly, and had no interest in assisting us. Didn't even offer bread , only came after we asked during the appetizer. Food was average to above average which helped the situation. Bring a devoted Sicilian slice customer I ventured out to a salad, not any salad, their Asian salad. “We have been going to the one twenty three for over 10 years. The food is wonderful and has always been consistent. They have wonderful seafood dishes and appetizers. They have some of the largest shrimp I’ve seen in a shrimp cocktail! The tuna tartare is amazing too! The bread was just perfect warm, soft and delicious. Got the gyros and that was not as good, it was bad just not good either. Glad I had the roll.
