“My wife and I walked in for dinner without a reservation maybe two months ago at around 6:30 on a Saturday. Since the wait was a bit longer than usual we were kindly given a plate of Edamame on the house. That's when we noticed that our server was working the entire dining room by herself after another called in sick last-minute.Being short staffed is a challenge on any night but this was a packed house on Saturday night with a large number of take-out orders flowing and the team stepped up with impressive dexterity. Given the circumstances mistakes can happen but we didn't notice any.Our meals were delicious, creative and beautiful. We've since returned several times for the great food but the real triumph that night was how well everyone in the front house performed.

“Ordered takeout here for the first time. Was slightly skeptical from seeing the mixed reviews and experiences but nonetheless I decided to give them a try since most of my go to Chinese places are closed on Mondays
Ordered the sesame chicken lunch special, that came with Wonton soup and I also got Dim sum one of my favorite appetizers to get and honestly I was pretty impressed.
The food was still hot and fresh even when it was delivered. Portion sizes were very sizable for the price and the flavors were just where they needed to be! From the savory dim sum, tasty salty pork bits in the fried rice, and a slightly spicy sesame chicken sauce.
Only real let downs was the wonton soup tasted off, like it was made with a Miso base if I had to guess. Some of the onion bits in the fried rice didn't taste as fresh and stood out in a bad way.
If I had to give another rating I would give it a 7 out of 10 for being really solid and surprisingly tasty even with some off bits here and there it wasn't as bad as some other reviews made it out to be.“

“Sakura is a hidden gem and hands down my favorite sushi spot in the Hauppauge/Smithtown area. It’s a small, family owned restaurant, and Maggie and her husband go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. They’re always so kind and attentive, which adds a personal touch you don’t often find.

The food here is incredible. Every dish is packed with flavor and always fresh. My absolute favorite is the shumai soup it’s my go to comfort food. Their torched rolls are consistently amazing, and when I’m looking for something on the lighter side, the diet roll is a great low-carb option.

Also worth mentioning: the fried rice is generous and perfect for sharing, and the crab salad is a must-try so refreshing and flavorful.
I come here for the quality of the food. If you’re in the area and love sushi, Sakura is a must-try.“

I would avoid the fish soup as the there were a lot of little bones but soup was very tasty. Very sweet staff there as well.“

“My husband and I go to Wild Ginger every Friday for lunch . I get the chicken pad thai with extra peanuts and peanut sauce on the side. My husband usually gets the sushi. We enjoy the Thai iced tea and the friendly service. We walk in and everyone welcomes us and knows exactly what we want. Great staff and service. Highly recommend you go!“

“The manager Cindy is sweet, personable and extremely accommodating as is the waitress also named Cindy. Their sushi is always fresh and the amount of fish in the nigiri and rolls are amazing!!!!As a sushi lover and a personal chef, I highly recommend this secret gem.They are located on the west side of Broadway/Greenlawn Rd., on the same side of the street as 7-11, within a small group of stores.Not to be confused with the other Japanese across the street. “Izumi's Hibachi is so goooood! The Filet Mignon is filled with so much flavor and they cook it well! They made sure our reservation was kept and they sat all of us in a nice section. Our cook was fun and interactive. Their Blood Orange margaritas are so yummy and indubitably-charged!!! I liked my experience a lot. Every hibachi place has their own niche, and for me, this one was their atmosphere, the teriyaki sauce, and the undoubtedly-fresh sushi! ?It doesn't beat my ultimate favorite Hibachi place but it was nice to try something different!“

“First time being at the restaurant, originally thought it was a table serve restaurant but it's actually a casual take out spot with the option to dine in.

Despite seeing a bit of mixed reviews I couldn't say I was hesitant since the photos of the food shared look genuinely worth trying and it exceeded expectations in terms of freshness, flavor, and even presentation
Ordered Sesame chicken combination platter and they do not compromise on flavor.

Each part had its defining flavor even the eggroll tasted as if it was fried in a very high quality oil setting it apart from others I've had. The sesame chicken had the best balance of sweet and savory with the pork fried rice being a standout for me.

This isn't your average yellow friend rice from your favorite hole in the wall but a delicious fried rice with some wok char, bright bean sprouts and the tastiest pops of salty pork. The pan fried dumplings had a very authentic flavor with the perfect crisp on the bottom.

What surprised me more was that this restaurant wasn't really busy, only a few people popped in for their take out order. With such a great experience, genuinely tasty flavors, I'm genuinely excited to revisit and try some more!“
