“This was my first visit to JPs. I thought it was great! Nice place to sit and unwind. I played a little Quick Draw and drank my drink. Mind u not shy with the alcohol. The bartender Luisa was just the sweetest woman! U could tell she really loves her job. Very attentive and accommodating. I also tried their food. I had fried zucchini sticks and mild buffalo wings. They came out piping hit, watch your mouth, lol. Luisa makes the marinara for the zucchini sticks. Delicious!! Also the night I was there they had live rap performances from local rappers, that was fun too. All and all I would recommend JPs to anyone looking for a great night out! I will definitely go again. They also make pizza, gotta go back at least to try that. Thanks to Luisa for making my first night out in a long time a great one!!“

“Birthday dinner for my husband! Our first time dining here! Amanda, our server was outstanding! She gave recommendations that were superb. We ordered from the Lenten menu the shrimp pappardelle and the scallop risotto. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful. Service was on point, friendly and professional. Sam, a manager, greeted us at the table to make sure we had everything we needed. Birthday dessert was on the house and delicious. I would highly recommend The Harrison!“

“This restaurant can lend itself to a very noisy environment. Yet today, with several tables taken, conversation was easy and able to be heard. We have been here several times for brunch and a couple of times for dinner. Delicious salad with greens, grape tomatoes and fresh red onions cut over a chicken milanese. Companions enjoyed their choices of crab cake benedict and a large cubano sandwich served with homemade shoestring fries. Shared their homemade flourless chocolate cakes served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Three happy people after an excellent brunch.“

“My family and I took a whim on this place and trusted their Google reviews. I'm glad we did. The place is nice, clean with a very nice ambiance. Service was quick, friendly staff, nice music. I took the advice of comments on their Instagram page and their recommendations and ordered the risotto balls, clams, tuna tartar and beef dumplings for appetizers. Entrées were the strip steak, ahi tuna and short ribs. I have to tell you, their food is really, really good! My son got their tartufo for dessert and I had the tres leche. Hubby had a cappuccino. All good feedback. Prices are fair. The entrees are on the higher end but do-able. I hear they serve brunch. I'd like to come back and try. There are many other dishes I'd like to taste as well. They host events and have Italian night Thursdays and offer live music. We will certainly be coming back again.“

“We three ate here today. Tony, visiting from Ireland, and I each had the 1/2 rack of ribs which we both agreed was excellant, fall off the bone good. I had as my 2 sides collard greens and corn. Both sides were very good, seemed to have a slight pickled flavor and went down easily. She had the pulled pork sandwich, which she found excellent to include the thin bread, and she had to have the bread pudding for dessert, which was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, so we had to help her finish it as it was too big for one person! Definitely the best rib place for both ribs and sides, we look forward to returning. The interior may seem a bit small but in the good sunny sumertime they have outdoor seating for well over a hundred diners. There's plenty of free parking, it's all located in the area behind Fairchild's Funeral parlor. The service is friendly and timely. “I apologize for not writing this review earlier, but I did have the complete honor and privilege to Dine here this past Sunday, March 3, 2024. From start to finish it was perfect. I am in the Restaurant business and have been for the past 35 years. To be quite honest it is really hard for any establishment to float my boat, especially in this day and age. As Server Jamal was phenomenal, very professional, and understanding. I arrived with a Guest a bit late for a Sunday evening and still was treated like royalty. The Chef even came out to adhere to some requests which I found simply unparalleled. From start to finish it was an epic journey of culinary perfection and straight-out perfect Hospitality. “The Broadway Tavern is a place tucked away in Malverne and is a great place for people to meet and socialize. They have many different events every week to keep everyone happy. The outdoor garden is a hidden gem where you can hold family gatherings and have a great time. They have great entertainment on weekends and provide the best in service. “I had received a gift card for this restaurant as a Christmas gift and decided to dine out and use the gift card that night. Although I had reserved a table, the wait time was lenghty. The staff were very pleasant and we didn't mind the wait. We ordered the Salmon with capers. It was perfectly done and quite delectable. I would order it again. Thank you. “I just recently hosted a retirement party here for my parents, and it truly could not have been a better experience. From first contact to the day of the event, Matt was so responsive and receptive to my requests. It was a seamless and stress free planning process, which made planning a surprise party so much easier. We did cocktail style passed appetizers, which were all delicious and plentiful for our about 60 person party! The wait and bar staff was so kind and helpful as well!! Everyone had a fantastic time and my parents had a retirement party to remember! Additional bonus was how convincing the host was about bringing us to our table (grabbing 6 menus and then going to check that our table was ready), my parents were clueless that there was a party for them until the second the doors opened!“

“My first time at this venue, I must say I had a great time. It's not a big venue, but there's plenty room to dance and socialize. Security was super tight. It's located in a nice part of Woodmere, plenty of parking, and it's feet's away from Woodmere Lanes, so you can get your Bowling on.“

“The new ownership is just what this Mineola institution needed to refresh its brand. The staff is friendly/laissez-faire in that typical "Long Island" way (if you live here, you get it). The bar side can be a bit cramped on busy nights but the restaurant side is very spacious. The copious number of TVs make it ideal for Sunday football and they do occasionally rent the space for private events. The menu has been updated and upgraded but still retains that bar food charm. The wings are of the well-done variety, if you like that and are plenty spicy (although, your taste may vary). I enjoyed the addition of hot pepper flakes on their hottest wings. The baked clams, giant pretzel and quesadillas are perfect apps while the full menu is surprisingly extensive with meatloaf, pot and Sheppard's pie, and a triple meat blend burger that knocks it out of the park. Prior to my last visit, it had been years since visiting Cornerstone and I'm glad I found my way back to this solid neighborhood pub.“

“This bar was originally under a different name then it closed and recently reopened with a new name. Inside it looks like absolutely nothing was changed. Same large bar area filled with TVs showing sports, pool tables, and a few high tops scattered around. They had a decent crowd on a Saturday night and you could tell it was mostly regulars.The bartenders are super nice and always remember what you're drinking. This is not the place to go if you want fancy craft beer or the best cocktail of your life. It's very much a dive with a friendly group of people and more of a local watering hole. Not a bad spot to kick back, watch the game, and enjoy a cold one.“

You can always count on friendly faces and cold drinks but definitely be prepared to bump some elbows when it gets busy because it gets tight! “Attended a large party at the Irish Poet for my establishment's annual holiday party. For apps, there were chafing dishes of chicken tenders, wings, and pigs in the blanket. I preferred the chicken tenders as the wings and pigs got a bit soggy. Then we were presented with mains: salad, penne a la vodka, chicken franchise, and sliced steak (almost like pot roast), along with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. The highlights were the steak, potatoes, and vegetables. Most dishes were lukewarm at best. I like my salad dressing on the side, and a thicker vodka sauce. The salad had so much dressing it wilted the lettuce. For dessert, Italian cookies were served but there were hardly enough to go around. I realize a lot of people skip dessert but it wasn't a good look to be short. Overall, I think a few adjustments to the food should be made in the future. That being said, Amy was a fantastic server. In fact, all of the staff/bartenders were attentive, taking orders, and cleaning up.“

The lady who took our order and recite the menu was exceptional. However, the rest of the service staff was a little disappointing. Hence four stars. I had already visited their location in Boston with her so I had idea what I wanted which is a family style menu. I love their family style menu with this you get food a plenty. You get to choose what you want and you can get refills which is the best part. You can practically eat all night and they will keep on bringing you food.The only thing I will advise is when you go here do not eat lunch or breakfast that day or you will be sorry. The food is amazing you’re gonna eat more but if you had lunch or breakfast, you will not be able to eat as much as you want to, so my friend come hungry.The menu it starts with the salad options are the Maggiano salad or the Caesar salad . I always take both but I don’t focus on the salads because what’s coming is more amazing.For starters, I love love and love the stuffed mushrooms. Always very nice. Very delicious. it’s a vegetarian option, but taste every bite. The second choice for starters for me is the simple bruschetta, the bread is crunchy and the ingredients nice.The main course we ordered chicken piccata, which is my usual go to in an Italian restaurant . I firmly believe you cannot screw up chicken piccata and these guys certainly don’t they delivered pretty well. Good job with the lemon sauce in the base which gives the chicken the flavor. My son could not stop eating it.When they say they are famous for the rigatoni I agree with them 110%, the creamy sauce in the rigatoni makes hell of a difference very hard to describe. It’s a little bit salty little bit Tangy, and very creamy.The four cheese ravioli was cooked amazing, the serving was delightful, looked nice. my daughters could not stop eating it. It was very delicious.Dessert sampler is the bonus in the family style financially speaking. They give you five desserts on a board, the sizes are decent certainly more than just a flavor of those desserts. it is quite a good mix. Love the crème brûlée in there. I like it because the sugar balance in it is just not too much not too low.For the amount of food you get it’s more than worth it . Some might call it expensive at $40.99 per adult but for the amount of food they give you it is more than worth it, not only you can get as many refills as you want as you keep on finishing food and whatever you don’t finish you can take it home. What else do you need?“

If you are going to dine in, make sure to go on the side where they have the benches/chairs not the one by the bar. We waited a while to get served because of this. Though staff was accommodating and helpful. The crowd/atmosphere was more of like mature, dive bar-ish. The food was good; not extremely tasty, it tastes homemade and delicious. “Ordered from this place for the 1st time and eventhough i only live about 10 minutes away it took the uber driver 23 minutes to get the order to me..... even with that being said, the food came hot and it was delicious. The only thing i wish is that they would supply the utensils needed to crack open the crabs but if you have some industrial scissors and a good hammer and forks you can make it work. I would absolutely recommend this place even for ordering if you live near by it is worth it. next time i want a seafood boil i will go to this location in person to be able to experience the restaurant itself, the staff, and the service.“

I went for the 'Thomas Jefferson' burger (w/ fries) and it was very tasty. I did see someone else order a Bavarian pretzel, so next time I'm here I'm going to have to try that. The staff in general were all good.There were several TV's showing an assortment of things.This place shares the space with other businesses and there is a lot to park. “Came here for pearl jam night and it was great. The service is awesome and the owner Ricky greets you personally at the door. We had reservations and I definitely recommend doing the same. The place was packed on a Thursday. The food is top notch. I had the baked clams and wife had the deviled eggs. Both were great. I ordered the fish and chips for my main and it was insane. The platter comes out stacked high with plenty of chips and the fish had a crunch that will literally drown out all the noise around you. I haven't had fish and chips like this. They served it up with tartar sauce, ketchup and malt vinegar for the fries and a charred lemon. My wife had the blackened Mahi fish tacos. Came with a bowl of rice that was tasty.“

“Been meaning to post this... Buoy Bar is definitely the most beautiful scenic location to eat or grab a drink in the area! The inside seating is great for colder weather with a view... but when the weather is nice, you can't beat dining right on the water. There are tables along 2 docks to eat at. There are also seats and bar stands directly on the beach below the dock. There is also an adult area and a family friendly area! The sunsets are unbeatable if you go at the right time. They also decorate very well and the lights look beautiful! The drinks are good and the service is great with a very kind, attentive staff. The parking situation is an absolute nightmare if you don't live in the area, and the wait times can be very long during peak season. Definitely plan accordingly! If this review was based solely on food, I'd likely give my Surf & Turf meal a 3/5. It was good, but not anything special. The side of broccoli was almost completely raw. Overall, Buoy Bar is such a cool place and I'd absolutely recommend coming here for some apps and drinks and enjoying the views!“
