“I’ve been meaning to write this for years! We love everything about the Owl at Twilight. The food is so fresh, (literally grown in the garden that the porch overlooks,) wonderful service, and just love the atmosphere. Truly is such a unique spot in the Adirondacks with rare mid-week and weekend music, cigar, and wine events. The proprietor takes great pride in his establishment and it shows. Don’t forget to try any of their drink or dessert specials too!“

“Lunch spot must try if you are in the area .Sandwiches are delicious. The Beet salad is 1 of my favs.soup are on point. Always hot & delicious.service is great. Food comes out rather quickly together for table. Settingis a old building that dates back to 1912. originally built for a high school for the students in the area later turning into a courthouse. Upstairs is a very unique shopping experience. if you were looking for one of the gifts, you will definitely find There.They also offer clothing, which is unique and beautiful, especially the winter apparel ?“

“Right off the bat I’m giving a 5 Star review instead of giving a lower rating. When there is an issue I want to address it without being some kind of pretentious food critic. I went to this location on April 8th which was the day of the solar eclipse. It was a mad house and any person would understand the service wasn’t going to be the greatest because of how busy the restaurant was. My issue is how they handle a problem. We ordered our meals and a French onion soup to start out with, which we got relatively fast. Not receiving our meals for a long time after, which because of how busy it was wasn’t this issue. 2 tables that came in after us, received their main courses. When the waitress came over to our table she seemed alittle stunned. Which I believe when she put in the order for the soup, she forgot to go back and place our meals in. After she left we received our order about 5-10 minutes after that. The meals itself was pretty good. As you can see from the pictures they were tasty. My wife only ate about 3/4th of her burger. so we took the rest of hers, my daughters French fries, and 2 chicken wings that were left onto one plate. We asked for them to wrap it up by another woman who wasn’t our waitress. The waitress came back with the bill and we payed for it. I asked for our left overs and she said they threw them out. Waiting for so long we just wanted to go, but she insisted that the burger would be very quick to make a new one. So after waiting we got it back but it was only the burger. No fries or chicken wings. My issue all together is “hopefully” the manager knew we had several complaints and didn’t come out or offer anything for the inconvenience. Not that I’m expecting something for free, but to acknowledge the problem would of been enough. I always go to gore mountain for skiing and always eat at the restaurant in the lodge after a long day. I would like to come here instead because of the atmosphere. I just hope next time it’s a little better.“

“Food is excellent. Had the chicken and corn soup, shrimp, and sweet and spicy wings. All were very tasty. Portion on the shrimp was small and on the wings was big. Service was very attentive and had some nice local beers on tap. Ambiance is great for the area. My only knock is it needs a more extensive menu - only true protein entree was a steak. They need a chicken or fish also.“

“Such a cool hometown bar! You must check out The Barking Spider for a fun time, great drinks, and awesome conversations. The staff and customers are so friendly and offer great tips on local events and things to do in the area. Bring a dollar bill with you to write a note on it and have it hung from the ceiling to mark you visited this iconic spot! “Another great place in Chestertown.Always friendly, great service, food is good.It does get a bit crowded during the weekend, especially during the spring and summer . The winter is a lot less busy . Parking can be an issue at times.They do have an outdoor area now for when weather allows. I'm not sure if they service the area or if you just bring your drinks out there on your own. It has a nice view of a pond marsh area from the back deck.Parking: When it is busy, the lot will be full. You can park across the street by the lake, or I have seen people park in the triangle intersection, I would not recommend parking in the triangle intersection!If you do not see parking, just go inside and ask where you can park. George or someone will let you know where to park.“

“The pizza was good and quite affordable. The restaurant was nice and clean. They do closea little earlier than I expected for a pizza place on a Friday night but within reason for the Adirondacks in general. I'd get their pizza again next time I'm in town.“

“Solid dining choice. Service and food prep were prompt on a March Friday night. Pleasant conversation with other diners. Waitress was nice and knowledgeable and efficient. Food was hot and tasty. Bear in the bar is a nice touch. Ruben and wings and mama burger and fries and tots all good choices for us.“
