“This was a jewel find. We are from out of town and noticed this restaurant had GF selections. A small cost atmosphere. Despite not having reservations they squeezed us in. Entirely kind staff, great cocktails, scrumptious food. I will be back again if ever in the area. Fab place!“

“Found this restaurant by accident on Friday and we love it! In fact, we went back Saturday for Churros and Sunday for dinner again. On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! The entire staff from front and back of house are very friendly. So glad we found them and looking forward to going back! We HIGHLY recommend them!“

“So happy I decided not to go home and cook. I live close by and wanted to try this restaurant for so long. I finally did it. I had the tortilla soup and the flautas. And of course chips with salsa and guacamole. Everything was delicious! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Ambiance is very nice and the music… I was singing and dancing waiting for my food. “It was a surprise to find this little restaurant in Harlem. There were no tables, and we took the last two seats at the bar. While we waited, I surprisingly felt at home. The aroma of the food, the care with which Karina prepared each of the dishes, and the kindness and joy they served us. By the time our table was ready, we didn't want to take it anymore; we ate much more than we planned to order because we didn't want to miss out on their delicious food. I have dietary restrictions, and I was surprised to see that everything from the exquisite tortillas to the delicious tres leches dessert was prepared right there, gluten-free and preservative-free. I hope to return soon.“

“The new lunch menu Is really good! The burritos are very large and delicious. The tacos are quite small but tasty. The service is always friendly but it's slow because there's usually only one server who also acts as bartender and host too during lunch time. I've never seen it very busy yet. They charge a $25 hold for a reservation, which probably makes a lot of people not want to go because they think the place is going to be extremely high demand or fancy. This is a nice casual neighborhood restaurant and I think that if they took that off their website they would have a lot more business.“

“Tobala is so worth the visit! We decided to give Tobala a try and we were not disappointed. The initial entry was warm and inviting, and we were immediately seated. The ambiance was romantic and cozy and the layout was efficient and flowy.
The playlist was great, the service was excellent and the food was impeccably delicious! We almost did not want to disturb it. Everything was spot-on!
The appetizers were small , but fresh, tasty and delish! The entrees were a bit larger in portion, delicious and filling! The prices were steep, but this place serves authentic high quality foods. We were glad that we chose Tobala for our date night! We enjoyed the desserts— the bunuela and the tres leches, I preferred the center of my tres leches not be so distinctively orange-flavored.
We plan to return to Tobala, it was worth the trip!“

I like it cuz it has a place to sit and I need a place to sit and eat my egg potato bacon platter...It's got a deli atmosphere with teeny tiny tables drapped in Mexican tablecloths topped with authentic food served by cheerful people who cook it. They smile when they serve it to you. Unlike the overpriced diner on Broadway where she's just about throws it at you well she's looking at the next table.I like my toast almost burned and here I get it exactly the way I want it slathered and butter. They're super friendly and professional. I enjoy watching the regulars come in with their unique order. They have amazing Mexican food. You can also get egg on a roll. This place is squished into the first floor of a corner shop and does good business. They play good music and have good vibes! They have fair prices“

“Had the breakfast burrito 🌯 been wanting to get to this place for a while.

Wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was good. The chorizo was the one I went with definitely wasn’t disappointed.

I don’t think it’s worth a far drive but if you’re in the area or it’s not completely out your way it’s definitely worth stopping in for a visit. The place does have seating but not a lot of room. There is a park near by and lots of outdoor seating near the area. That’s what I chose to do.

The breakfast burrito price was amazing especially for nyc the food was good quality and really delicious. The sauce everyone was talking about wasn’t over powering. Matter of fact I wish I had more next time I’ll ask for some on the side felt like I needed an extra pump 😂.

I truly enjoyed this place and I’m sure you guys will also the coffee was mid but it’s ok food makes up for it.
