Not only did Piermont have a bike, they had 4 for me to test. Sunny also told me the size I originally thought I needed was too big and his recommendation for the smaller frame was spot on. I ended up with a 44 cm Cannondale Evo and couldn’t be happier.“

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. “Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. The entrance to the cafe has a small ramp to enter, making it accessible for the handicap. Roomy enough to pull up to the table, with a wheelchair.“

“Built in 1937 and originally known as “Lookout Inn, my partner and I decided to stop at the State Line Lookout Cafe after a nice hike for a bite. This casual establishment is a throwback to yesteryear inside a nice stone cabin with fireplaces to warm up during cold weather and the only restaurant/cafe around in the nearby area.

I was greeted by the young staff. Their simple menu is a little diverse, from breakfast sandwiches, various burgers, and hot dogs to fries, but nothing too fancy.

We decided on a cheeseburger, a tuna fish salad sandwich, large fries to share, and drinks for takeout.

Service was friendly and quick. Prices are quite reasonable, and the food was hot, freshly prepared, and tasty.

We worked with Mike and he came up with a perfect menu to make our picky kids and adult foodies happy. When we arrived the table was set and delicious appetizers were ready to go!! The chili had just the right consistency and the cheese actually tasted like cheese. The bread wasn’t stale and the dogs didn’t taste like they’ve been sitting in boiled water for a week. The food was fresh. The lady running the hot dog truck was extremely welcoming, quick and courteous. For anyone looking for a quick bite and tasty hot dogs at a very affordable price compared to other food trucks I’ve stopped at, this spot is a winner. “Easy to get to bc it’s inside Hmart. Has all the basic Korean bakery stuff you need. If you want the whole spread you should go to a stand alone Korean bakery bc they will have more. Free parking lot in the shopping plaza. This way you can go food shopping but also get bakery stuff. My favorite pastry was there which they don’t sell in most Korean bakeries - Soboro custard cream - it’s like coffee cake crunchies on top (but it’s not coffee flavored) with plenty of cream inside. It's $3.75 each which is kind of pricey. But there aren’t many Korean bakeries in Yonkers.
