They also have a pretty decent beer selection with a lot of local breweries such as Other Half, Prison City, and Young Lion. Oh also they have a pretty decent bourbon selection from time to time, definitely check to see what they have. Service, I believe this place is owned by a couple. They are very friendly and know how to efficiently run a bar that offers fairly complex drinks. Absolutely nothing to complain about here. Being totally honest, the ambience could be better, it is a very small intimate spot. This place certainly fills up fast on busy nights. I usually recommend grabbing drink or two here before you go out to dinner somewhere else.“
“Once you locate the restaurant, you are in for a treat. This is located behind the hotel and totally unmarked. We didn’t realize that it is PART OF the hotel and there is no signage at the direct entrance to it. (We did note a sign at the street indicating that it was located within that particular complex). Excellent in all categories except for short period of time when the music playing was loud and not in keeping with the otherwise peaceful ambiance. Best sweet potato fries I have ever had. EVER!!“
“Came here with a large group and ended up trying a bunch of stuff. For apps, the shrimp tostada and crab dip were alright. The salmon salad was rather simple, but the salmon was cooked very well. I also had to try their espresso martini which was one of the best I've had, great flavor and intense coffee notes enhanced with a hazelnut liquor. Their staff was also incredible and very attentive. “We made a reservation for I believe 9 and we ended up early. We got sat right away. No photos of the food because we were both starving. We got the Ribeye with lump blue crab. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had. We also had the black grouper dish. A little salty but would eat again. It's a bit thicker (not full Detroit but not NYC thin). Overall, not bad. I would order it again, but this wouldn't be my first choice for a GF pizza. The crust fine, a little dense and premade. They have a couple of fun mocktail options that aren't some overpriced lemonade junk. I would recommend going for the atmosphere and drinks (alcoholic or not). I'm excited to see what else I can try on the menu. The staff are so friendly and helpful! All my questions were answered and it was so fun watching everyone cook at the pizza oven! They were easy to work with, gave us a great deal and checked in a few times to make sure everything was on schedule. When I arrived for pick-up they greeted me at the door by my first name with smiles just like I was family. They also helped to load everything into my trunk. A few days after the event they even checked in to see how everything went! This is how you run a business! It’s hard in 2023 to find an establishment with that kind of class and professionalism. There are several options for both vegetarians and vegans. What's really nice is that these offerings aren't an afterthought, rather they are creative options even an omnivore like me can enjoy (my spouse is vegetarian/pescatarian). The pimento cheese appetizer was fantastic. As good as I've had when traveling the Deep South. Unfortunately they were out of the Shrimp & Grits entree we wanted to try, but what we ordered was just fantastic. Our only comments are the "for the table" section's items are more single serving sized than true sharing portions. Still amazing, though we might have ordered more in advance if we'd known. Finally, there was a nice selection of mocktails as well as traditional cocktails.
