“If you ever want to impress your friends & family with your good taste, take them here! Ever since they opened, we've continually been returning to this awesome restaurant. Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. We tell them, honestly - we've never had anything on the menu that we didn't LOVE. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. OH MY, what a Scrumptious Feast! Not a morsel was left over! When the friendly, attentive waiter suggested dessert, some said, "I can't eat another thing!", and "oh, maybe tomorrow". I suggested, perhaps some very delicious iced cappuccinos, or an outrageous dessert drink. Everyone ordered something. I then said to our party, I think we need some accompaniments. My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. Nearby patrons could be heard saying, "We'll have what they're having!" It was another memorable, Great Time at Southern Table. Bravo to the Chef and Staff!”

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.”

“Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. They have been open for two years, but I just found them now. If you haven’t checked them out, you should soon!”

“Great atmosphere, organized party, excellent service and staff, amazing food, very relaxed party planning that led to a stress-free gathering of 80 people. “I have checked out many different PlayaBowls locations in the past, but none of them compare to PlayaBowls in Pleasantville !!!!! This place is the place to go. When I go in, the girl who usually takes my order is always there , Believe her name is Briana or Bri not 100% sure . She is a young girl with dark hair, looks very Italian. She is super adorable, very personable and well-mannered, always has a smile on her face, and always helps me out! There are a bunch of others girls I see there often and they are fantastic as well :) Great food, great atmosphere, great music, overall-great place to go. My boys are obsessed too … definitely recommend :) !!!!”

Mussel appetizer was plentiful and delicious.
Many choices on the lunch menu. I had one of the pasta dishes and it was fantastic.
Great atmosphere with collegiate sports shirts on one wall and local art for sale on another.
The staff was friendly and attentive. A must try if you are in Pleasantville”

“Hands down the best Chinese food I've had. I went to pace university for 4 years and this was one of my favorite restaurants.They have the best Crab lagoon/ fried cheese wanton, fried chicken and fried rice. I have tried crab rangoon at so many other restaurants and none can compare to Ons. I aways get disappointed. I was pregnant a few weeks ago and had the worst craving for the wanton. I drove over an hour to get it every time and wanted to cry tears of joy. The only downsides are that they only take cash, the place looks so old and the bathroom is dirty.”

“I like to frequent stores where the proprietor and employees go above and beyond. This is one of those establishments. It is clean, and the owner is one of the kindest humans I have ever met. We were passing through when our son got carsick. He went above and beyond out of his way to help us. The world needs more people and businesses like this.”

“One of the best places in the area for authentic Latin American food—hands down better than the spot across the street (no food war intended!). I order the same dish every time because it’s consistently the best-tasting food I’ve had with excellent portion size for the price, in Westchester County and I'm from Rockland County. I’ll drive over the Tappan Zee just to eat here. The staff are incredibly kind, too. I’m not sure of the name of the gentleman who usually works the register, but he always greets you with a warm smile and is genuinely positive! 5 STARS”

“i drove here all the way from danbury, ct & let me tell you.. this place did NOT disappoint! hands down the best tacos & quesadilla i’ve ever had in my life. the crunch of the warm shell mixed with the ground beef and cheese was 🔥. the chicken in the quesadilla was shredded and amazing. my friend had the steak tacos, and i’m not a big fan of steak in general but i tried some of hers - it literally melted in my mouth. if i was going to eat steak it would be here. literally everything was cooked to perfection. the drinks being absolutely on point was just a bonus. please open a location close to danbury so you can take all my money😅. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”

“Love at first taste ,i love there noodles,you could actually taste the difference ,it’s fresh ,food is not salty ,no artificial flavor,balance taste Environment is clean ,employees are friendly,they serve fast ,very nice. Not far from where i live ,my son loves noodles ,ramen ,curry,so we are glad that is close and convenient. For sure we are coming back. BUDGET FRIENDLY!!”

“Good deli good prices, they got your Mexican Staples, American breakfast options, wraps, sandwhiches, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and almost every drink. You have seating space too with a TV to chill if that's your thing. Recommended if you're hungry for breakfast or lunch.”

“Great place to get lunch after shopping at the Pleasantville Farmers market. Also great for takeout.
There are so many vegan options - the day I went all the soups were vegan - and included split pea and corn chowder.
We ordered split pea soup (came with a warm pita bread), the black bean burger (tasty and filling), and the falafel bowl with barley pilaf. All excellent and all vegan!

Vegetarian options: I love that there are so many vegan options! The menu includes vegetarian options for all categories - bowls, pita/wraps etc. Most of the vegetarian choices are vegan - so no egg or dairy.”

“Exactly what you want a Carvel to be. The soft-serve ice cream is delicious in a way that the other ice cream stores and trucks can’t/don’t match. And somehow this particular Carvel seems to make extra creamy soft-serve, even though I know that’s unlikely since I assume they’re following a standard recipe. Service is always friendly and helpful, and they have buy one get one free Sundaes on Wednesday!”

“As A local DJ Entertainer I was performing up the street at another venue wanted to change it up so came here for a Great meal and a Drink , what’s not to like ! We were greeted from the entrance asked where we wanted to be seated & we were seen immediately and were served food and drinks in under 14mins which was great , WILL DEFINITELY be back to CRAFT 🙌🏽”

“This Dunkin’ location is very good. The drinks and food were always great. I’m a big fan of the caramel iced coffee and the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. The only downside to this location is that it is very hard to get in and out of the small plaza that it sits in. The street is normally very busy with traffic, and it can be hard to pull in and out. Also, the parking lot is small and is very limited.”

“It was so brutally cold in the restaurant. People wore their winter coats and the hot food became cold immediately. They had 2 tiny heaters at each end of the room but it did nothing.
The food is great —Stick to take out!!”

“I really enjoy this subway location. There is very easy street parking on the corner of the building, and their food is excellent. The subs are very tasty and all of the ingredients are very fresh. I also love their chocolate chip cookies! They also have some very friendly staff as well.”

“Perfect location with a municipal parking lot next to the cafe. GCBC bagels are as close to the bagels I grew up eating in Forest Hills. They are soft but slightly chewy. Perfect texture! When I go early in the morning after they've taken them out of the oven, I don't even ask them to toast it. Sometimes I have to wait in line because they're busy but that's a good sign. There are regulars who come every morning and read newspapers while having their bagels. It's a neighborly place with excellent bagels.”
