“Obsessed. Even if you are NOT into cereal flavors, they have what you need! Do you like ice cream? You will LOVE this ice cream. Have some fun and enjoy an unexpected flavor with friendly conversation! Samples abound, additional toppings do not. Not much in the way of seating, but ice cream like this is enjoyed too quickly to worry about it.“
“I went just before closing and fell in love. Brand new shop. Super clean inside and aesthetically pleasing. Staff was really nice and welcoming and ice cream is so good. I had trouble choosing because there’s so many options.Update: I’m STILL coming here!!!! & it’s my favorite. My go to order:• Supreme Nachos: (3 scoops)- pistachio, cookies & cream, banana crème brûlée- Nutella or marshmallow drizzle& sliced almonds as the topping! ✨? ?Thank me later!!! ?“
“Heard about this place many years ago as a kid and always wanted to go. Well we finally went. It was nice to see a line outside because it increased my anticipation. Guy behind counter was nice. Ices were flavorful. For $10 we got sm. Lemon, sm. Blueberry and med. Pistachio. Worth the trip to this famous little spot.“
“Absolutely stunning restaurant. So worth the trip to LIC. We had the Diablo pizza which was so flavorful and the dough was so soft and not chewy or tough at all. The burrata and tomato was fresh and light. The fish was cooked perfectly, flaky and soft, full of flavor. The tortellini was buttery, so creamy and delicious. I’m still thinking of the butter pecan gelato which is made by the owner’s son. The owner herself is so welcoming and effervescent. The wait staff were bright, cheery, helpful and attentive. Looking forward to going back.“
“We stopped at the ice cream window tonight. As we walked up at 7:55 pm, the A-frame read: last day. The music inside got louder as we approached the window; they were playing Lorde’s ‘Supercut’. We were the last customers of the day, the last customers of the season. The two people still working asked if we’d like to try anything, so we did—the ‘Linden’ was all gone, but they told us it was named after the Linden tree, which grows on the streets of Ridgewood beyond the Window. They harvest the flowers in June and use it to make ice cream during the months that follow. Another woman who worked there came up and joined our conversation—she said the Linden tree grew natively in her homeland, Poland, and the smell reminded her of childhood. We ended up trying the Brown butter, Waldmeister, Guava and Passionfruit. Everything was decadent. Ice cream window 4ever“
“this place was great to try. as soon as i heard of it, i knew i wanted to try it. i got some vanilla soft serve and it tasted really good! only downside is that they don’t have chocolate soft serve ☹️ but besides that, good experience overall :)“
“It's a great spot with kind staff and a good selection of treats, right next to the park. They only opened relatively recently so they're still figuring some things out, but it's no reason to rate them poorly—give them a chance! I'm excited to frequent them more when it's warmer outside. Happy to have this business in the neighborhood.“
“Love this place the service is amazing the workers are so nice and friendly, the place inside is always super clean. As for the food and drinks are always so good and perfect 10/10 would recommend. Telling all my friends about this delicious hidden Gem ?!!“
“3.5 for food 4 for service Big space, ample seating with a photobooth in the back. The interior is a bit hodge podge. You'll see modern lighting mixed with paintings and antiques and old records. Like the design, you'll also find a mix of things to choose from like gelato to cookies, pastries, donuts, macarons and breakfast sandwiches? We got the original bingsoo which was had a hefty portion of mochi and red bean. Taste was okay, I think there was way too much mochi. Could've used more soybean powder or sub with nuts. I also got a raspberry jelly filled donut which had a nice fluffy dough but the jelly inside was too sweet. I've also sampled their black sesame and passion fruit gelato which were both decent but not the best gelato imo. Place is clean and service was good so i gave 4 stars instead of 3!“
“This is one of the most aesthetic dessert places I've been to. Great for friends and family to gather, have a chat and get some yummy dessert. I visited in winter so some of the items I.e. durian was served frozen. Most of the items were pretty good, only item I would pass is the mango sticky rice because the rice wasn't sweetened and the sauce on the side did not absorb when poured over.“
“Super friendly and patient staff! My kids were so indecisive but the staff offered a tasting to help my kids decide! We finally ended with rainbow ice, mango and coconut and vanilla flavors! There is a Sandy backyard and a lot of fun for kids!“
“Located within the vibrant Tangram Mall in Flushing, Queens, Maiko Matcha is a haven for matcha enthusiasts and dessert aficionados alike. With its unwavering commitment to quality and a passion for Japanese culinary traditions, Maiko Matcha promises an unforgettable taste experience that transcends expectations.During my recent visit to Maiko Matcha, I was instantly captivated by the serene ambiance and inviting aroma of freshly brewed matcha. As someone who typically isn't a matcha aficionado, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality and nuanced flavor profile of their matcha offerings. Each sip was a symphony of delicate flavors, perfectly balanced and exquisitely crafted to delight the senses. In addition to their exceptional matcha beverages, Maiko Matcha offers a tantalizing array of desserts that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. We indulged in their Strawberry Soft Serve, a refreshing treat that boasted the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess, leaving us craving more with each spoonful. One of the highlights of our visit was the Mochi Waffle, a delightful fusion of Japanese and Western culinary influences.“
“Love that they opened one here in Astoria! I used to live down the block from them in Lido Beach and it was the place to get ice cream. Having one here in Astoria is awesome because I walk here with my dog all the time to grab a cone and continue our walk. Beats other ice cream places that are not dog-friendly.“
“I couldn't be happier with the staff at this location. They were extremely nice and accommodating. We needed a custom cake last minute and the staff was able to get us a cake just in time on short notice. It came out perfect! I highly recommend this location, the staff and service is amazing.“
“On the warmest day in forever, the store decided to staff just ONE person to serve what seemed like all of LIC and its kids. The line was out the door and slow to move, but the staff member scooped and rang up orders calmly and patiently. Can't say I loved the ice cream, but her work ethic blew me away.“
“I called this morning and spoke with Maryann about my food allergies. I decided to try 3 Towns Cafe for the first time. It was less than a 20-minute walk from my house. The ambiance was perfect for brunch, lunch, and dessert dates. Soup of The Day *Ask for a sample* Beef Barley Soup + Oyster Crackers: I loosened the tight lid slowly to avoid spilling the soup. The beef barley soup was hearty. Health Shots Hot Shot: The hot shot (2oz) was spicy because of the cayenne and the black pepper. It gave me a good kick. Crêpe or Croffle Ham & Cheese Croffle: The ham & cheese croffle was flaky and yummy. Bakehouse I bought these nut-free baked goods below. Apple Turnover: The apple turnover was flaky and yummy. The apple filling was sweet. Fudge Brownie: The fudge brownie was chocolaty and yummy. Gelato "Last Drop" Gelato Special (Pumpkin Spice) + mini sugar cone: The gelato tasted like a slice of homemade pumpkin pie. This was my favorite. One word: Scrumptious Maryann, thank you for providing excellent customer service! FYI, I downloaded the Clover app to earn rewards! Bookmark this spot to try!“
“Really yummy and amazing prices!! This is a neighborhood gem for sure. Doesnt look like much on the outside but dont be fooled bc they have delicious smoothies. Got the green apple delight and the mango. Both were very good. I’ll be back!“
“i have been coming to aunty for snow cones whenever i am in the area since i was young, the ice with condensed milk is absolutely delicious and everyone working there is so pleasant, overall a great experience every time i come and i recommend her to anyone in the area.“
“Eddie’s has the best tasting homemade Ice cream in Queens. I am a repeat customer for 30 years and they never disappoint from the friendly, upbeat staff to the warm and welcoming owners, It’s a neighborhood staple you don’t want to miss out on!“
“I am SO glad the Queens location opened back up. Ample Hill hands down has the best ice cream in NYC! Not only are the flavors fun, some hitting savory, sweet, and butter notes all in one bite, but you can expect the best texture as well! Their ooey gooey butter cake is one of our all time favorites next to the crack caramel! When you can't decide, opt for a flight of 6 mini scoops!“
“Costumer service could be better as the staff generally had an attitude of not wanting to be there. Then again that can be expected on a busy Sunday morning. We loved the maritozzo and the pistachio cream crepe. Great proper Italian style espressos as well.Nice place to stop by while strolling around in LIC“
“I really like this store. It’s clean, tidy, and has a wide variety. They often have some different creative ideas. I can buy different styles every time I go there. Whenever I pass by, I will go into this store to take a look, and every employee is very friendly. Very friendly and patient. My daughter didn't know what to eat. She took her time and didn't rush us. She also very friendly recommended every flavor to the children. The happiest thing today was buying Easter bunnies, four in a box, very cute. It’s so cute that my daughter can’t bear to eat it. The owner of this store is really attentive to his business. I will recommend this store to my friends. It’s worth coming?“
“They are so so nice! The ladies were amazing and patient with my order. I was a little upset that they didn't have an album with photos, I was hesitant to place the order. Was even planning to go to a different location, just for the album. But they assured me everything will look great. I took a chance, the ladies helped me choose pictures for the cake and helped with design. Turned out perfect! My children and guests were very excited about how great the cake looked! Can't thank them enough, wish I got their names“
“Great assortment of ice flavors and the ice cream is reallly really good. Staff is always super friendly and don’t get frustrated when you ask to try flavors like many other places ? my friend got a milkshake and it was really good. 5/5 recommend“
“This place is so cool! I took the girls for a treat after spending an hour at launch trampoline park. The perfect way to end the day!! So much flavors to choose from. We really didn't know how to order, but next time we will definitely get the hang of it. The toppings are amazing! You pay by the pounds so choose wisely ?“
“We ordered the "assorted dessert hot pot" which is a 9-dish sampler of different types of desserts. My favorite was the mochi ice cream and grass jelly. I think the matcha and red beans were not very good. It needs to be so much sweeter and the fruit cup was slightly disappointing but very good. It would be nice to maybe have some shaved ice or ice cream... there wasn't much except jelly, fruits, and a mint to decorate. There was a variety for everyone. It was a great value for what you get out of it. The service was great and the guy who was running the store was quick and efficient. There was no rush and we were able to stay and enjoy tea. The store was clean and cute. I want to go back to some shaved ice next time!“
“The toasted marshmallow flavor is a must. Soo creamy and excellent quality! Customer service is fine, nothing out of the ordinary. However, the ice cream is on the pricier side. Currently they serve 2 scoops for $8. If it were just a little cheaper i would for sure give five stars. Overall my fav ice cream spot!“
“This place is more than your typical lemon ice/cherry ice kind of Italian ice shop. They probably have at least a couple dozen flavors of water ices and cream ices, plus hot dogs, sodas, and a few other items. No seating available, so be prepared to walk with your order--but then be prepared to walk right back another time, for more!“
“Paris Oven Bakery is a quaint newbie to the Long Island City-Astoria boarder. I'm a fan of their croissants and cold brew. They also have my favorite sparkling water too (Perrier), which has become difficult to source as a reasonable price. Friendly faces and prompt service is their hallmark. I enjoy passing by whenever I'm around.“
“So excited there’s a carvel in college point!! The staff are super friendly and accommodating, the store is absolutely spotless and you can just tell the store is managed and worked with pride. The weekly specials are also awesome and there’s coupons as well in the ValPak monthly mailer. I highly recommend going here, College Point Carvel will definitely be here for a long time“
“This small cafe is a great stop for a quick bite or drink. They pay attention to detail and things are made in house. It is conveniently located next to a local Chinese supermarket and an elementary school. Fortunately, there is a parking lot that has tons of space available for free. The cafe is quite small and meant for a quick order and pick up, but there's some seating for a sit down. Indoor Sit down is only for 3-4 people. You can place your order either by walking in or calling ahead of time to pick up. I ordered lumpia and it was cooked right away just as I ordered it. It was fresh and crispy. Definitely homemade. One order comes with 5 pieces along with a sweet and sour sauce. The chicken bacon avocado wrap is filling with lots of vegetables and protein. Flavor wise, everything is quite balanced. The Hawaiian chia bowl had mangos, bananas and granola on top. It was just sweet enough and not overpowering. Decent portion. The lemonade was a bit too sweet for my liking. If you'd like flavored lemonade, expect it to be flavored syrup mixed with some lemonade. It's delicious but quite sweet. Overall, I'd recommend this place for a quick bite, but not really for a sit down spot.“
“This place is inside of Tsaocaa, or are they partnered with them 0-0 But the donuts were good, a bit oily but tasty. We got an egg waffle and corndog too because it was Christmas so why not. Treat yourself :) The gurlie at the counter was nice and, as the maker of the previously mentioned corndog and egg waffle, she was pretty skilled. They were made excellently and the finished products were so aethetic, insta-worthy 100%“
“Love their drinks and always crave them but they are always closed without any warning. I've been there like 6 times in the span of this year and their hours don’t match up to the hours they have on display. Honestly kind of disappointing.“
“Absolutely love this place. Very kind smiling faces behind the counter. I made it a game one year to try all the flavors. I failed but I learned a lot along the way. This Ralph's is my favorite and trust me I've been to them all. I'm not quite sure why that is. My theory is that the ice is the perfect level of frozen where it's still malleable and not frozen solid. It makes for a much better experience and the solid shape it holds is fleeting but that's what makes it so special“
“This is by far the best greek yogurt i’ve ever had. First time i tried it was while having dinner at Taverna Kyclades. I asked the waiter since i was so impressed and he was nice enough to share that they get it feom Kesso foods. Their hours (M-F 6am to 2:30pm) are a bit difficult buuuut Zabar’s (uws) carries both their yogurt and tzatziki!!“
“This is a special place something about the yogurts so sweet and flavorful without being too sour or sweet. The rice gives it some texture when you drink it, it's just fun to chew on. I was just walking to get home when a little store caught my eye it had free samples so I took on it was so good. I decided to go in the employees were very nice and offered me more samples there was also a buy 2 get one free deal which is perfect. I highly recommend this place I go every week and my favorite is the purple rice or strawberry.“
“The brown sugar boba was good, tapioca pearls were nice and chewy.Had their Mozza dog, it was nice and potatoey, crisp, and cheesy mozzarella.Pricing was fair and quality was good.Wish there were more seating areas vs the stool style, my butt hurts now darnit. ?It's a good joint stop ordering uber eats and check this place out.“
“the ice creams are good and it is also fast, they are obviously a little more expensive than the regular ones… they have many fruits including banana, strawberries, orange, coconut, pineapple, blackberry, bluberries, and condiments and others stuffs like mashmellows, nuts, whipped cream, M&M, raisins, sprinkles… they have all the flavors and they make it as you want. They make lemonades, milkshakes, they have sodas...I spent like 6-10 dollars on each ice cream. I recommend this store…“
“Great charming little shop in Astoria. A family favorite - particularly the planet earth ice cream was a huge hit with my preschoolerVegetarian options: It’s ice cream! Lots of vegan options tooKid-friendliness: Great place with some very well presented flavors like Planet Earth!Wheelchair accessibility: Right on the sidewalk, no stairs necessary“
“I been looking for a store like this for a long time. They have them all over LA. I didn't get the candy fruit things, I purchased the ramen esquite & the Tostito ceviche. Both were good, the ramen esquite is pretty much cup of noodles with esquite on top. I like both so I figured it was a good combo. I like it, I would put more seasoning next time but it's good. The ceviche was really good & SPICYYYY!!! The service was good they were nice but it did take long. I would go back to try some other items.“
“Really great crepes and easy take out, if you’re up for a sweet treat , you’ll have in less than ten minutes , busy all the time but , everybody in one line and everybody got served , fresh fruit and the smell of creoes cooking ?? Yummy“
“My first time there. From what the employees told me, it’s open for 2 years now. I didn't know or I would have visited earlier. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea for take out and it was really good. Tbh it was a little bit sweet for my taste but I don't mind it. They have a cute dine-in option as well. The service was amazing! The employees are super nice and helpful. Overall nice experience and will go there again :)Will try to update here on what other things I tried and post pictures“
“Yesterday I ordered online and was rushing to catch my train. When I come in we realize that someone took my pickup order from the counter :( I didn't have time to wait for them to remake it and the manager ran to the back to get me a coupon for a free sandwich. he really made the moment right and I appreciated it so much!!“
“There's a reason this business still exists. Ice cream. Plain and simple Not much has changed with the store. You know what you're getting, a great tasting product. I like the flying saucers and the Fudgie the Whale cake. They still have two for one sundaes on Wednesdays and other weekday specials.“
“I came here at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. My heart was set on a matcha latte. Sadly, they ran out of matcha. I ended up ordering a small drip coffee. The barista asked if I wanted space on top to add dairy. There was only one option. I assume it was half and half. The space is very spacious and comfortable. The WiFi is really fast. I wished I had my laptop with me. The 4 customers in the cafe were all typing away on theirs. This cafe is quite popular. It was busy when I was there. I kept seeing customers walking through the door. I would definitely come back here. It's a block away from the 30th Avenue station (N train).“
“My opinion is 9/10. I tried the purple rice yogurt drink it was enjoyable.I since then tried Duomo ( the other purple rice place in flushing) and def like this version better the rice was better cooked and flavor from the yogurt and rice was more balanced and rich. “Best carvel in the area. Soft serve is always fresh, as are their cakes. Accommodating if you want to order an all vanilla cake with chocolate crunchies. Service is usually pretty good. Sure, it's an older store, but it's an ice cream shop what do you expect? Has buy one get one sundae free on Wednesdays“
“When I was in Chicago a couple of summers ago, I found myself getting paletas nearly everyday at every paleteria I could find as I couldn't find them as easily in NYC. So, when I realized this place was in Queens, I just had to check it out for myself. I'm not sure if it's related at all to the similarly named places elsewhere, but this place seemed to be pretty identical to the ones I had gone to in Chicago, at the very least. I quite liked my coconut paleta, and I'm looking forward to coming back here in the summer, or any time I happen to be in the mood for an icy treat.“
“Great place for great Gelato! We tried Pistachio, Figo and Ferrero Rocher. They were all amazing, but the Pistachio was absolutely stunning! 100 out of 10 !!!I wish I could afford to have ice cream here everyday. It's a real treat and will definitely come back if possible.“
