“Customer service was great over the phone. Amazing food. I ordered delivery (I didn’t do Uber eats, just called because I wanted the restaurant to receive 100% of the profit) and it came quick. I received a medium oxtail with macaroni and cheese. I would’ve taken a photo but it looked too good not to take a bite. I wish I got more oxtail because it was delicious!! The Mac and cheese was amazing — perfectly cheesy. I can’t wait to come back for more of their food options like the stew meat or even the banana bread (and tell everyone I know obviously)!

Edit: I got more food the next day! The stew chicken was as delicious as I hoped it would be alongside that AMAZING curry goat. The curry goat tasted like heaven — it tastes fresh off the island! The curry chicken was also very good and I got a great portion of everything. The standout had to be the beef patty which was the BEST Jamaican beef patty I’ve ever had. Now I got to buy one with every order!! I thought the bulla had a beautiful sweet spice to it. Perfect for any meal. Everyone I knew wanted a bite of the curry spiced bread as well. My sister said she’s going to order here everyday if she can ?. Overall, everything was perfect and I am glad there’s more yummy places to eat in this neighbourhood.

“I like this place a lot. I go about twice per week for the lunch specials. The location is clean; food is cooked very healthy it's not greasy nor overly seasoned. The food is so good. Patrick is the cook and besides being a great person he is truly passionate about cooking. I refer my coworkers to them. The lunch special is just $7 which includes rice and peas, sweet plantain, choice of meats, and bottle of water or can of soda.“

“Jamaican Flavors has never failed me. Over the years, whether it was a quick single meal because I didn’t feel like cooking or catering family event, the service has always been top tier. My family esp especially love that they have an economic option that serves about 8 and you can add (2) protein, a starch, a veggie and everyone gets a slice of cake and it comes with (2) large drinks. There’s always so much food left over after everyone eats. Can’t beat it.

The space is small and accommodates about 6 customers tailgating each other to get to the counter. Once you accomplish that, it moves along pretty quickly. The workers are nice and it’s seamless.

The hot counter offers all your major Caribbean staples: jerk chicken (boneless and bone on) , shrimp, curry chicken, curry goat, etc. They also have about (2) soup options daily and your baked goods like beef patty and coco bread. No review would be complete without the honorable mention of the Rasta pasta which you can get with or without added options of jerk chicken or shrimp. Baybeeee, let me tell you, this plate is KING. It’s like a warm hug that puts you to sleep.

At checkout you can add slices of cake or your fresh juices. My go to is a refreshing cucumber ginger that just hits every time. Great food at good cost and with excellent service.

Parking: The street parking is tricky. There are always people double parked and challenges getting your car out when you’re ready. If you can, park by MCU and walk over. Just be careful crossing.“

“We were visiting NY and stopped at this restaurant on a Saturday morning. The food is by weight and can be expensive depending on what you choose. It's self service in that you have to put on gloves and serve yourself depending on what dish peaks your interest. I had green banana, ackee and Saltfish and spinach and absolutely enjoyed it. My husband had the Chilli (I believe) chicken, jerk chicken and sweet potatoes and he seemed to enjoy it. The rice peas is topped with oxtail gravy without the side of attitude. The plantain gives the meal a sweet and savory vibe and the salad is just salad, but the lettuce is crisp.
