Old Captain's Dumpling 老船長 is a clean, no frills spot with handmade dumplings. The restaurant has a huge self-serve kiosk for ordering. The two old grandmas behind the counter are very nice. The food is hot, delicious, and affordable. The fried dumplings are amazing, with a crispy and not overly thick skin. When bitten into, they are juicy and not fishy at all. The steamed dumplings are in a pouch shape, while the fried ones are like little envelopes. The fish dumplings are a favorite, uniquely folded and stuffed with meat. The pork-shrimp-chive dumplings are a go-to, and the lamb dumplings are crunchy with a juicy meat filling. There are about 6 different kinds of dumplings. A bag of 50 frozen big dumplings is $30, and cooked orders of 14-15 dumplings are about $12-$13. The only downside is they take cash only, despite the business sign saying they take credit card.
