“My wife and I had dinner here this evening. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. When we were waiting to be seated one waitress look like she was having a bad evening. She ended up being our waitress and when she came to the table she was Friendly and smiling. I can say Ashley is definitely a great waitress and very friendly.“

“I wanted to make sure to leave a review for an order we placed Oct 2025. My daughter got married at a gorgeous lodge in Jay, NY. This is about a 35-40 minute distance from Tail O the Pup. I had been in touch with the owner months ahead about a delivery to the lodge immediately following the ceremony that day to feed about 25 people. Communication was excellent. When the day came, I believe that the owner (I’m sorry it was a busy, emotional day and I did not get your name) lacked a delivery driver and drove the food to the lodge himself. Like I said, that would have taken him well over an hour round trip. The timing was perfect and as promised. The food was plentiful, very good, and enjoyed by all. He even threw in some extra coleslaw for free! We thank you for making our day stress-free and enjoyable!“

“Decent spot for Asian/Sushi buffet with good ambiance. Food was okay, good varieties to choose from..had all the usuals that you’d expect. They did a good job with not overwhelming the buffet menu. There were quite a bit of vegetarian and dessert options as well. One thing they can do better is labeling the food item and mentioning if it has meat/seafood/nuts/seafood/dairy for people with dietary restrictions.

“This restaurant was such an incredible and unexpected find on the way home from the Bloomingdale Bog! I have traveled widely and the best food I have ever had was in Venice Italy: I kid you not, the food and service here brought me back to Venice and Florence. I had the shrimp special: shrimp cooked with sautéed vegetables: onions, sliced garlic, roasted red peppers, large wands of broccoli, all cooked to perfection. The veggies still had flavor and bite, the large shrimp were perfectly cooked, and all tossed over pasta with delicately flavored sauce and olive oil, which never overpowered the flavor of the main ingredients. My partner had the Chicken special which was perfectly tender chicken breast bathed in a cognac marinara sauce, with mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers and a side of delicate pasta. For dessert we enjoyed the Tira mi su, my favorite, which I make from scratch myself. The pastry and pastry cream were heavenly, finished with a thin layer of chocolate and a dollop of whipped cream. Stupendous. The lemon cake was also obviously made in house, with cake that was not too sweet, richly textured with a nice thick layer of lemon cream between the two layers. This dinner was a glorious North Country surprise, one that transformed this series of cold, gray days. The service was also absolutely exceptional, professional, friendly, graceful, relaxed and timely. We can't wait to return, and I would highly recommend you treat yourselves...especially now when it's slower! Light up a cold winter evening. THANK YOU!“

“Jimmy's 21 has become our traditional first-dinner-in-Lake-Placid preferred location. This time, we came with our four-year-old, and it was just as enjoyable as when we've come as a couple or with a group of 8+. The top-notch service, high quality food, and relaxed but romantic atmosphere are always consistent, and very much anticipated. The views of Whiteface and Mirror Lake are so exquisite. We love it here, and it remains one of our all-time favorites!“

“Great place for Brunch. The Menu has several options but most based on eggs as the protein. There are 4 different salads where you can add a steak/chicken/shrimp or Salmon for extrat $. There were 2 options based on smoked salmon/lox but when we were there they didn’t have either for 3 days on a row. The service is good, the ambiance is great. Even considering the issues it is one of the best options in the area.“

“We stopped at the Pub this afternoon and had a great experience! The food and beverages were very good but our server Max was amazing!! A few of us in our group have been servers for many years and appreciated his attentiveness, personality and sense of humor. We will be back to see him for sure“

“Heated walkways are non existent now. Only 1 outdoor ( adult only ) hot tub working and wasn’t filled with enough water so jets were annoying when on, spewing water in faces. The pool was absolutely NOT warm enough to swim in and nobody was in it, not even kids so you know it was cold. If you can’t keep the amenities up stop promoting them and charging for them. The area underneath to walk through from pool to movie theater the carpeting was soaking wet and sloshy, no signs up just you step in it and gross. Staff is nice.“

“We have been to Generations many times, consider ourselves locals! We live in Queensbury, NY, so we're able to get there 2 to 3 times a year! Our most recent visit was on May 22, our 54th Anniversary. Generations is our go-to place to eat...breakfast, lunch, dinner or happy hour! The food is so fresh and made to order.
