“Amazing food and a great “old school” vibe. Sat at the bar and had dinner to celebrate my birthday. Karen took EXCELLENT care of us! We were so excited to stumble upon this gem. If you’re in the area, definitely make a reservation and go. It is WELL worth it.“

“Excellent food, service and ambiance. Will definitely be back. The menu changes so perhaps call to see what’s on the menu. I had a skirt steak that was perfectly cooked to my liking in a delicious marinade. My husband had their homemade pasta which was awesome. Dessert and coffee were yummy. Nice little touches everywhere. We came in with a few minutes to spare before they were making their last seating which always makes me a little nervous when going someplaces. Sometimes you can see the employees rolling their eyes and looking upset that a new table has come in. This definitely was not the case. The wait staff was extremely friendly and answered a lot of questions for us about the area and recommended some other restaurants to try as well. The chef came out and spoke to us also at some point. We did not feel rushed and they gave us dessert and coffee and did not sit and look at their watches. Really cute place and excellent food. I highly recommend it.“

“I asked LaBellas if they could cater my daughter's baby shower on Saturday afternoon (although they are normally closed). The owner and his son couldn't have been more accommodating. When we picked up the food they even told us if we needed more to just give them a call and asked if we needed serving utensils, plates etc. (which I didn't). My family is from Italy and we were treated to tender, delicious chicken marsala, eggplant parm that was incredible and baked ziti, unlike the traditional baked ziti. I think they mix their sauce with a bechamel sauce and it is incredible. We had plenty of food and my guests raved about it - and my Italian relatives were very impressed!. They also sent us with plenty of homemade bread, their wonderful tomato dipping oil and butter and plenty of salad and dressing. I live in Syracuse and have dined at LaBella's when I visit my daughter in Saranac Lake, but they really exceeded my expectations for her shower. Their food and just as important - their service is outstanding. Thank you again - see you soon!“

“I was excited to try the Hunters Chicken with pork belly & cognac that is listed on their online menu as well as presented to us in the restaurant on their menu. Unfortunately it was no longer offered. Back up choice Butternut squash ravioli with a sage butter sauce and kale potato hash. I liked the hash but felt the ravioli had a weird sweetness to it and was dry due as not enough sauce. I did not finish it. My husband had the Camp Fire Burger which was local beef and perfectly cooked. He had a side of Mac n cheese with local meirers cheese which was a little too milky for us & lacked cheese taste and texture.“

“Hands down the best beer in the Region! Lake Placid has a couple of great breweries... The beer and mead here surpasses them. The atmosphere maybe not, but that can change eventually... It seems to be a labor of love... I've been there twice and have tried just about everything... There isn't anything subpar about this beer at all... This is my favorite brewery so far... And I've been to many in NY and VT...“

“Everything was delicious. Live music was awesome. Tips were very flavorful and tender. My only complaint was that the server hands you a small device with the total of your bill and expects you to pay him on the spot. I like to look at my bill and decide on a tip, not while the server is standing there waiting. Hayden was a great server. Will come sgain.“
