“We always order using delivery apps though wanted to come in for the full experience. SO GLAD WE DID. First off, this has to be one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever been in. That made me feel really happy. Now to the food! Came for the Taco Tuesday Special and so happy we did. We came very late in the evening so we missed the jerk chicken tacos though I was not disappointed in the jerk beef tacos. Such a great deal and it was delicious. These were the full size tacos, not the minis. Run don’t walk as I’m sure this deal wont last. We also ordered the fried fish and grits , we paid for extra for more fish and so goad we did. I didn’t expect a carribean place to be my new go to fish spot but here we are! We ordered the collard greens which were a little different than the southern style I’m accustomed to though had a spice to kick it up.

Friendly staff and very welcoming. They offered us samples of their new fresh made sea moss which was delicious and we grabbed more to take home.

“I love Jamaican Flavors patties. First time I had Ackee patties, I fell in love. I was recommended by one of the workers to try the impossible patty, the vegetable partty and I can say they are delicious. I love the impossible patty, will definitely try that and all the other two I purchased. The cake I bought I love it. I usually order the chocolate, but this one yummy. “Was in the mood for a beef patty this restaurant was the first choice google recommended. I must say the aroma from the restaurant alone will have you intoxicated. I was greeted by the staff that’s was very kind and helpful. The beef patty was flaky and very tasty the spices complemented the meat perfectly. “Earlier this morning..... My first experience at Door Restaurant in the borough of Queens.... OMG I tried the Traditional Jamaican Breakfast: Liver, Saltfish, Callaloo, provisions omg. Couldn't eat it all but I killed the Saltfish. Restaurant wasn't crowded. Good service.. However, I will definitely return as in addition to the wonderful customer service experienced on Saturday July 22 at around 4pm. The food was delicious!!! “Customer service was great over the phone. Amazing food. I ordered delivery (I didn’t do Uber eats, just called because I wanted the restaurant to receive 100% of the profit) and it came quick. I received a medium oxtail with macaroni and cheese. I would’ve taken a photo but it looked too good not to take a bite. I wish I got more oxtail because it was delicious!! The Mac and cheese was amazing — perfectly cheesy. I can’t wait to come back for more of their food options like the stew meat or even the banana bread (and tell everyone I know obviously)!

Edit: I got more food the next day! The stew chicken was as delicious as I hoped it would be alongside that AMAZING curry goat. The curry goat tasted like heaven — it tastes fresh off the island! The curry chicken was also very good and I got a great portion of everything. The standout had to be the beef patty which was the BEST Jamaican beef patty I’ve ever had. Now I got to buy one with every order!! I thought the bulla had a beautiful sweet spice to it. Perfect for any meal. Everyone I knew wanted a bite of the curry spiced bread as well. My sister said she’s going to order here everyday if she can ?. Overall, everything was perfect and I am glad there’s more yummy places to eat in this neighbourhood.

Update I went back twice the stewed chicken is dry and then the plate of oxtails was not the same size lots of rice little meat. “I had the best Thanksgiving Dinner once again this year.. last year was my introduction, and this year they out did themselves. The best jerk Fry turkey in the world. Tender, tasty, properly cooked. “I only order j*** pork & j*** chicken, and I most say that this is the BEST j*** chicken & pork I have EVER taste in America. I am hooked. It’s all about the flavor, and most restaurants just cook to sale, but Merrick J*** cook to please. They’re Potato pudding is good too.. not too sweet, but just right.

The oxtail was flavorful and falling off the bone. I also loved the jerk sauce they had on the chicken. Most importantly, the portion is hefty! The food reminded me of home. They have the best oxtails and vegetable rice around. The rice is seriously addictive. They also have a slamming hot sauce. You have to ask for the real hot hot sauce tho. Because they used to give me another hot sauce before a regular told me of this one. If you like perfectly spiced, fall off the bone, absolutely delicious oxtails. If you also like them with magic rice that you can eat buckets of till you explode in delicious rice goodness, then this is the place to get it from. They do not have any seating. This is a takeout-only spot. They also load up the containers. No skimping here. The staff is always nice as well. Keep up the good work guys.“
