“My first experience at Metros on Main was about a week and a half ago I The food was really delicious. From the appetizer to a fabulous Pasta Bolognese Then my new favorite drink, an espresso martini . The service was top-notch the people, especially Danny the owner made us feel comfortable and at home. Love the music met the band towards the end of the night and they’re very down to earth people. A friend of mine and I will be coming back this weekend for the karaoke night on Sunday, which is my birthday. I’m looking forward to another terrific evening. We were supposed to go somewhere else on the 22nd but I decided we have to go back to Metro’s. It was that good. Bring your friends down !! You won’t be disappointed !!“

Mallory is a cute Spot with a casual indoor outdoor bar and dining area. It is just steps from the Pines and Cherry Grove Ferries, making it great for a missed ferry or in between ferries. Heidi has been there for years and is simply wonderful behind the bar. The food is excellent. It is tasty, quick and handy or sandwiches you can sit for.

And James is simply over the moon! Thank you for supporting the Sayville Library.“

“On a Saturday night, I decided to visit a restaurant that I had heard great things about. To my surprise, the restaurant was nearly empty, but it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.

Stepping inside, the restaurant exuded a different vibe right from the start. The ambiance music set the perfect tone – not too loud, not too soft. It was clear that this was a place where you could relax and have a conversation without any distractions.

The service was top-notch. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. It's no wonder that they have a 4.9-star rating – they truly deserve it.

Now, let's talk about the food. To start off, they brought out complimentary bread that was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and had a delightful kick reminiscent of Peruvian ceviche. We also tried the avocado crab salad, which had a unique and fantastic flavor profile. There was another appetizer, the name of which I can't recall, but I absolutely loved it.

When it came to our entrees, I sought a recommendation from our server who suggested the duck. It was an excellent choice – the duck was absolutely delicious. My partner opted for a lobster dish with sweet corn puree that was truly divine.

We couldn't resist trying a dessert, so we ordered the napoleon. Let me tell you, you HAVE to try it! It was simply amazing, and I still find myself dreaming about it.

To top it all off, the Owner/Chef was incredibly nice. He took the time to visit each table, ensuring that everything was running smoothly. This attention to detail truly made our dining experience remarkable.“

“I did a take out order at the East Islip location. The food was good but the super melts do not seem to have much meat on them like they use to. If the prices are going up with less portions that’s going to be a problem for Friendly’s. I would hate to see them go out of business because I love Friendlys too!!“

Wasn’t a fan of the “Figgy Smalls”, tasted like medicine, but the Dark Cherry Bourbon Sour was amazing. The Grouper was amazing sitting on top of the risotto, perfect for a fall evening. “Love this bar so much. My friends and I go there all the time after our gigs, and the server Joanne always takes such good care of us. The food is delicious, the vibes are cozy, and everything is super clean. A great place to have a drink or bring your loved ones!

Vegetarian options: Not a veg heavy menu, but I'm sure if you asked for options they would make something for you. It's just that kind of place.

Parking: Parking can be tough, especially on the weekends.

“First off I want to say I've been coming here for years and I just love coming here!! Everyone here is so nice and friendly which is why I always come back. The bartenders especially Kayla and Meagan truly are rockstars.

“waitress had never heard of the aperitif i ordered (which was literally on the placemat in front of me), so i figured i'd be safe and just go with an Aperol Spritz. the girl looked at me like i was an alien and couldn't even pronounce the word "Aperol". at that point i just told her to bring me an Old Fashioned and be done with it, which wasn't half bad, albeit a touch under-sweetened and garnished with an orange wedge and one of those neon sweet "maraschino" cherries that you get on a hot fudge sundae. however, my vanilla Coke, pickle and coleslaw, huge open-faced Reuben sandwich and (underseasoned) potato salad (with giant chunks of raw carrot in it) were all decent. i got a rice pudding to go, but when i got home to eat it, it had almost no flavor, all the rice grains were broken and the rice itself was NOT fully cooked. at least their onion rings are still legendary, as are their Christmas decorations.“

This section is changed weekly so you know you’ll get some unique selection. Justin was an our waiter and he recommended an amazing dessert Macedonian Cookie make sure you save room for this!“

My most recent was a repast after a funeral. When everyone is emotional, the last thing the family needs is problems with the food service. Well, in our case, more people showed up than were originally expected. The staff at Trio didn't miss a beat. They set up additional tables in a flash and quickly had the tables set. We had buffet style dining and the selection was outstanding, with something for everyone. From soup to nuts, everything was delicious. They had fish, beef, vegetarian selections and even offered coffee and dessert. (by the way, if I had known how good the desserts would've been, I might have eaten a little less dinner.)The service is impeccable, everything is clean and fresh, the linens and tablecloths were spotless.I'd like to add that Trio is on the grounds of the Holbrook Country Club. “Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. “Last Wednesday I was at Davis vision works and we walk to the restaurant for lunch whem we get the we were standing up for almost 15 minutes waiting for someone to give us a table. finally whem someone come to us and without asking if we need a table rigth away he say is was 15 mint wait, me while the restaurant wasn't even packed it was a lot of table empty and even like that he was going to make us to wait more. really bad service and rude attention. we have money to pay it wasn't like we were asking for a free table. people are really racist at this place. “We've had great experiences at Nu. It's a quiet spot, usually, and the food is really great. We always get filet mignon or their pork chop, which is fabulous. Their wine list is great, and the service is always top notch. I'm kind of a snob when it comes to service. I like to have great service but also be left alone, which is exactly what they do. The servers have always been attentive and professional. They know what to recommend and can advise you on the menu. I have to repeat. Their food is GREAT! although I do always order the filet mignon. It's the best .“
