“came here on a date with my boyfriend and we were pleasantly surprised to find a local gem! restaurant was small and unassuming from the outside however the inside was pretty and elegant. the service was excellent, friendly and fast. pre fix dinner was an amazing deal, the cheese ravioli was delicious! they had a gorgeous tray of desserts i got to choose from, the cake was the perfect way to end the night i ended up ordering 2 slices just for myself 😭 its now one of my fave italian spots, i cant wait to come back and try more from them :D“

We were all so impressed how good but different each sauce was for the dishes we ordered. Chef cooked the marinara sauce perfectly, it was bright and flavorful with just a touch of acidity. Artichoke was one of the highlights, as well as the Sardinia style pasta, Mallorredus. Portions were good and we even saved room for dessert. Pistachio Italian cheese cake - absolute perfection. “Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“

“We were traveling to the area from out of state for a family gathering, if we were going to Long Island I wanted real Italian Food. After research found this spot, made a reservation based on an estimate on when we would be getting into town.
Ended up being earlier than anticipated, called the restaurant they were able to accommodate my husband and I earlier. Along the way a family member was also getting into town and wanted to join us for dinner, they were able to adjust the reservation on the fly to accommodate us.
The wait staff was awesome. Explained the menu, specials.
Food was delicious.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxed, welcoming. We were able to sit and visit with family without feeling rushed. It was an awesome experience! Wished we lived local to be able to visit more!“

If we ever find ourselves in the neighborhood again we will make a point of returning to Franina.“

“Mario’s Metro Pizza completely changed what I expected from a pizzeria. We came in for a full tasting and every single dish overdelivered. The chicken scarpariello was the standout, juicy chicken smothered in a sauce with real depth, sausage and thin cut potatoes mixed in, plated like something from a sit down Italian restaurant rather than handed over a counter. The vodka rigatoni with fresh burrata was another surprise, creamy, rich, and not something you expect to find at a pizza shop. The Philly cheesesteak pizza and hot honey pepperoni with vodka sauce were both excellent as well, and the hot honey and buffalo wings are made completely from scratch in house.

Beyond the food, the hospitality stood out. The owners, two brothers with over a decade of experience in kitchens across Westchester and New York City, took over a pizzeria that had been a neighborhood staple for decades and elevated it without losing that local feel. You can tell everything is made fresh and with real care.
