“GET THE KALE CEASAR SALAD!!! I love their pizza but I go for the salad. This restaurant has such a great atmosphere and their menu is very accommodating. Everything on the menu is delicious and if you are strong enough to leave room for dessert, you will be extremely happy. Their cookie and their brownie come in a cast iron skillet and tase homemade and the ice cream and whipped cream make it even more delicious.“

Danny was absolutely fantastic to work with—he was incredibly helpful, communicative, kind, and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. He made everything feel easy and stress-free, which meant so much to us during such a busy time.
The waitstaff was also wonderful—friendly, attentive, and welcoming—and the food was absolutely amazing. Our guests had a great time, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion and kick off our wedding weekend.

“My wife and I are pizza fanatics specifically Neapolitan style. A hybrid gas, wood fire grill that makes a near perfect pie. We split a Margherita and Mushroom pie.

The Cesar salad was great, a touch of lemon zest and crispy lettuce.

The meatballs were high quality and this is coming from a self proclaimed meatball master.

Artichoke was one of the highlights, as well as the Sardinia style pasta, Mallorredus. Portions were good and we even saved room for dessert. Pistachio Italian cheese cake - absolute perfection. “We celebrated my husband’s grandfather’s birthday here tonight with a party of 14, and I can’t say enough good things about our experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled so professionally and warmly. The restaurant is beautiful, elegant, and has such a welcoming atmosphere.

Our table was perfect, the service was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, and every dish came out exactly as it should. With a group our size, it’s easy for things to go wrong, but everything ran seamlessly. The staff worked together so well, and everyone in our party left happy.

The bill was also very reasonable, and while gratuity wasn’t automatically included, our server absolutely earned every bit of the 20% we gladly left.

“Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“

“We were traveling to the area from out of state for a family gathering, if we were going to Long Island I wanted real Italian Food. After research found this spot, made a reservation based on an estimate on when we would be getting into town.
Ended up being earlier than anticipated, called the restaurant they were able to accommodate my husband and I earlier. Along the way a family member was also getting into town and wanted to join us for dinner, they were able to adjust the reservation on the fly to accommodate us.
The wait staff was awesome. Explained the menu, specials.
Food was delicious.

We met with Sergio on Wednesday and he completely accommodated all of our wishes for that upcoming Saturday in his beautifully appointed private room. “We lucked upon this lovely place when staying in a nearby hotel due to a canceled flight. I highly recommend the burrata appetizer; our other dishes were great too but came from the specials menu so you may not be able to get them consistently. Soft shell crabs, veal osso buco... but I think anything you get there will be fresh and of the highest quality. Good wine list too. If we ever find ourselves in the neighborhood again we will make a point of returning to Franina.“

While on vacation we decided to patronize this establishment with 80 years of history. We stocked up on vegetarian friending fresh pasta and frozen prepared meals.

The staff were friendly and willing to engage in conversation. We purchased quite a few items and will update our review after we have had a change to try them all.“

“I go to Diane’s all the time for coffee and baked goods, at least once a week. I invited new moms and dads from the Roslyn school today for a gathering at Diane’s this morning to support local business. We had about 12 people. Sat outside at the patio where the shaded area was. Everybody all bought coffee and pastries. We arranged the tables and chairs in a long row so we could see each other. Later we were told by Diane, the owner, that she wasn’t happy that we rearranged her tables and sat together in a row. Why? The place wasn’t crowded with other guests. We all bought and paid for goods. I couldn’t help but thinking that because we were all Asians?! She could ask us kindly to put the tables and chairs back once we finish, which we did without being asked at the end. But with the unwelcoming remarks I will never come to support this business again. I don’t say this lightly but I felt it was discrimination in every way. I’m truly disappointed. I love Diane’s and the yummy treats but the owner was truly unkind. I share this post here because I don’t think this business supports diversity, which is a shame because this community is becoming more and more diversified.“
