I have lived here for over 30 years; just go to Pezzi Pizza! You can bring it home and save it for the next day's as they serve good and large portions. I am on strong medication and sometimes my taste changes as a side effect from medication- but eating the meat balls, pasta dishes, soups and salads help to keep my spirits up! And the food is always fantastic and never sacrifices on flavor. The side dishes of spinach have been one of my favorites as well as the beet salad. I have eaten almost everything on the menu over the years, and I am thankful for the Pezzi family not only for their kindness to my situation over the years but the care they have for every customer and the care they place on the quality of the food they serve.
They are wonderful people and I wish them continued success always. I am Thankful to have known them and have them in my life as I consider them my honorary family. “I recently went for dinner with a small group of- it was the first time for all of us. I didn't have high expectations, but was very pleased with our meal and the service.
The restaurant is on the small side (I suggest a reservation), but very attentive, and the bar area is very cute and modern. Our waitress was very attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious, including my spicy cucumber margarita. To start we shared the falafel platter, large enough to be shared, and the fire roasted eggplant in a green herb tahini sauce (I think that's what it was) - tender and delicious! I had the special brussel sprout Cesar salad w/ added grilled chicken, and others ordered the salmon and enjoyed it. We didn't order dessert, but I'll definitely try something sweet next time!“

“After my wife and I were married in 1976, we lived for a time in an apartment building on East Superior Street, next door to Gino East's pizzeria, in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood, steps from the Magnificent Mile. At least once a week, usually after we returned from our day's work, we had dinner at Gino East's. It was our introduction to one of the best pizzas in town. But that was then and this is now. I'm at Gino East's of Chicago in Los Angeles and I want to see how the West Coast version of Gino East's pizza compares to its original in Chicago. Located at 12924 Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks, one of Los Angeles' most fashionable suburbs, it has been voted the best pizza for two years in a row by the Los Angeles Times, deep dish and thin crust. Open from 11:30 to 9 Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 to 10 on Friday and Saturday, this location was opened in 1969, three years after the flagship restaurant was launched at 162 East Superior in Chicago. To be sure I could enjoy the same kind of pizza that I have been enjoying since I was in high school in the 1950s, I opted for Gino East's "Build Your Own" offer, a 16-inch large thin crust pizza with chunky tomato sauce, Italian sausage and real aged mozzarella cheese. Just what the doctor ordered. I'm told that Gino's East of Chicago also makes a mean batch of spaghetti and meatballs. Next time.“

“My wife and I have ordered from Previti for several years now thru Door Dash. the food has always been excellent. The other day I had a call from Previti. It was the owner, Joe. He told me that my mother had wandered in after having her car bumper come completely loose on Marcus Ave. She had no phone, and was shaken up by the whole ordeal. Joe called me for her, and gave her a cup of hot tea. I went over, picked her up and got her home. Later my wife and I returned to pick up her car. We decided to eat dinner there and take advantage of the pasta night specials. The lasagna and the rigatoni with meat sauce were both excellent. “I love their pizzas. They have a brick oven that they make their pizzas in and it really brings out the authenticity of the pizza. Their pizzas are sized just for you to eat. You have a choice of ordering a bigger/“regular” sized pizza that you’d often see at other pizza places but their pizza size makes it so easy for you to just eat that by yourself and go. One recommendation for when you go is definitely the bbq chicken pizza! I love the bbq chicken pizza. I get it all the time but it may be a little too sweet for some as said by others that have tried the pizza but i dont think you can go wrong with bbq chicken pizza even if you do find it a bit sweet.“

Just to update: I have visited them 3 times since my first time and I have to say their pizzas are great! I've tried three different varieties, and you can taste the difference being that it's halal, you can taste the difference in how healthy the ingredients are, you're getting better quality ingredients and better quality food. I take time out to drive miles to them just have their food because the service and the atmosphere it's always great they're so pleasant with you, they treat their customers like they're family that they haven't seen in a long time that they missed. The chef Gurbinder does a fantastic job and the presentation is always great.“
