“On Saturday, June 25, 2022, I had the opportunity to spend time with friends. These individuals and I had not spent time with each other in several years. When we were at Dreams East, we asked the owner, Tanya, for any recommendations as to where to eat, and this was one of the places she recommended. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and while my three friends and I were there, several people came in and ordered food. The pizza is very good, and the French Fries were AWESOME! All of us were very happy with the food and the service and definitely look forward to returning to Il Villaggio the next time we visit Sea Cliff. Oh, and one of our party used the bathroom so there is a bathroom available for customers to use. The guy behind the counter definitely practices "service with a smile," too.“

“Have passed this pizzeria many times and never went in cause I just thought the parking was too difficult . Someone told me today that this was their favorite pizza in Plainview ( it at the border of Plainview and Hicksville on Woodbury road and south oyster bay road). I asked why and he said , it's the cheesiest! Anyway, I decided to try it and was very pleased. I had a cauliflower pizza which was excellent and I could present it was healthier. The regular slice was also good and really cheesy as promised. Inside the dining room is nicer than you can tell from the outside. The staff are efficient and accommodating. You can park on the street , but they DO have a parking lot in back, around the corner. Gotta say, although I haven't been here for 28 years, I plan to return.“

Got a large sausage (regular NY style), it was very tasty but just a tad too thick for me to be NY style. Great pizza nonetheless but I've had better NY style in the midwest so I can't give it 5 stars. A little thinner and it's probably a 5 star pizza. The flavor is there.“

The Roman style were sausage with broccoli rabe and spinach with artichoke. The traditional were a burrata and vodka pepperoni basil and pesto slice. I can't tell you which was the best because they were all amazing. “Solid pizza and ingredients. We ordered a Grandma pie and a few slices of white and eggplant+ricotta. The marinara and cheese on the grandma were good. The grandma is also 12 slices which is a nice bump in size compared to other shops which make 9 slices pies. My only knock on their pizza is the crust. It tastes like a low protein/gluten content flour, almost like all purpose or maybe a little cake flour mixed in. So it's not as chewy as I think pizza crust should be. That said, it's still got a solid crispy layer.“

Replacing the beautiful stage with 5% of it (Video wall) and that dance floor is the least the community wants. We had the special Beet Salad loaded with green apples, arugula, walnuts and goat cheese and it was very good. My old favorite is always the Stuffed Artichoke and it was delicious. The half moon shaped Ravioli special with shrimp was excellent. Already want to go back for that dish again. The Cacio Pepe, the fresh spaghetti is always the best. “We were attending an event at Queens College and wanted to have a lunch/dinner afterwards, so we searched for restaurants nearby. There were many choices, but I was impressed by the website and menu for Piccolo Sogno. Following the event, joined by four friends, my wife and I made the short drive to the restaurant. It was a hot day, and at first we said we would like to dine inside. But the gracious host said we were welcome to check the outside seating first--and we're so glad we did! In the lovely, covered garden, we comfortably began a great feast! Piccolo Sogno has a nice selection of wines and beers as well as sparkling water. That was followed by delicious Calamari Fritti (done to perfection) and a Hot Antipasto Sampler with more calamari, baked clams, eggplant rolatini and amazing fried shrimp. We followed that with Pollo Alla Francese (some of the best I've ever had), Spaghetti Carbonara, Penne Vodka, and Insalata Dello Chef with chicken. These were served with generous side orders of Caesar salad or pasta. The service was friendly, courteous and at a pace that made for a wonderful afternoon. Even though we were extremely well-filled, we ordered dessert, and are so glad we did! The Limoncello Flute was one of the best desserts we've had, as was the Chocolate Mousse. Some iced expresso (wait until you see the special way it is layered!) and coffee would have been the end of a perfect meal, but then Chef Maurizio himself came out to spend some time at our table. After a nice conversation, he took this selfie shot of us all. As we left, the wonderful staff of the restaurant all greeted us and thanked us for coming. I can't remember the last time that happened in such a warm and spontaneous way. I could not more highly recommend a restaurant. We live in Manhattan and have our choice of some of the best restaurants anywhere--but actually, I look forward to returning to Piccolo Sogno!“

I can confidently say Toskana will be my go-to casual Italian takeout spot from now on...I'm still eating as I write this, but so thoroughly impressed I had to post a review immediately. Menu is fairly simple and classic for this type of establishment, but everything was executed perfectly. The chicken francese hero was buttery and bright, the rigatoni alls vodka was flavorful and decadent with pasta perfectly al dente even after sitting in takeout container, and broccoli rabe is garlicky and the perfect side. They also threw in a free (and generous!) side of garlic knots, which are also delicious in their own right. Everything arrived promptly, piping hot, and very fresh. I rarely order take out and needed some comfort food tonight after a rough day, and really hit the spot. Thank you!“

It's not the best cheese slice but it hit the spot. It had a great thin crust but still held up together easily. It was light on the tomato sauce, which I actually wish there was more, but a good amount of melty cheese with a pretty good cheese pull. The crust was also nicely done. Pretty good pizza joint in the area. I'd get it again if I have a classic NYC pizza craving.“
