The Roman style were sausage with broccoli rabe and spinach with artichoke. The traditional were a burrata and vodka pepperoni basil and pesto slice. I can't tell you which was the best because they were all amazing. “The restaurant is in a low traffic area and seems to do decent with takeout. I haven't seen anyone sit down yet each time I went. Restaurant looks pretty clean and full of space. The folk working here are pretty nice. Portion sizes are either lunch or dinner size for your platters. Even the lunch size is a good size portion enough for one person. The dinner size is enough for two people. When we ordered the lunch size for gyro, we had a choice of either a salad or a soup for the first side which is separate from the gyro and there is a second side that goes along with the gyro, so you can pick one of the following fries, rice, lemon potatoes or grilled vegetables. The container is filled about 80% full with grilled pita.When we ordered the dinner size for gyro, its the same as lunch but you can pick two of the sides that go along the gyro. This is effectively filling your container all the way to the top at 100% filled with grilled pita. Recently it appears they increased this to up to three sides, but I imagine they will just reduce the portion size of each side if you pick three but would still fill the container full.The Greek salad is good and the soups we tried were also good. The gyros and chicken souvlaki were on point.“

“There is no shortage of pizza joints in Harrison and there are 4 within a 5 block radius by my count. NY Pizza Station gets its name from being next to the Harrison Metro-North Railroad station that you can grab a slice or a pie as soon as you get off your commuter train. This used to be the location of Pizza 2000 years ago, but when P2K moved to a new, larger space across the street, one of their old employees decided to open Pizza Station on his own. The menu and formula did not change much from the P2K days. You stick with what works and what your customers like. Being just a short walk from our office, we would come regularly for Pizza Fridays and also order whole pies for special occasions and rainy days. We were such regular customers, that we were once captured by the Google Streetview camera car while walking back on Pizza Friday (our faces were blurred out). The pizza is pure NY Neapolitan style. We like to order fresh pies for delivery or to pick up. They come in 3 sizes, small (14"), large (16") & X-large (18"). The 18" pie barely fits in the box and sometimes the edge has to be folded a little to close the box. They also cut the XL into 10 slices which is unusual in itself. We also love the individual specialty slices like the Chicken Bacon Ranch, Penne ala Vodka and Chicken Bruschetta, which can also be ordered as whole pies. You can't go wrong with a traditional cheese pie, too, but my favorite topping has to be sausage with mushrooms a close second. Why not both? I have yet to try the heroes or pastas, but they do look good. There might be a veal parmagiana hero scheduled for Pizza Friday this week!“

“My wife and I went out to lunch today in Locust Valley, NY. Last July, the LVI Bistro changed owners. Marcel has owned the restaurant for over 40 years. They had an excellent reputation and their food and serve was always high quality. This was our first visit since the change and we found it was quite good. We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners.We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade. It was excellent and was a great way to end our meal.This is a new LVI Bistro and they made a great first impression on both of us. Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)“

“I came here and got the 32oz bango açaí bowl($16.30). I got the bowl with the blueberries, strawberries, banana, honey and granola. The fruit tasted fresh and the honey was nice and sweet. I loved my Pear of Thieves cocktail and my friend who is not adventurous, took a leap of faith and ordered the Grape Scotch which he loved. The bone marrow app was to die for and we were impressed with the scallops and pork belly entrees. Tanya picked the perfect wine for us and I enjoyed it so much that I'm trying to find where I can buy it for myself. It's the next day and I'm still thinking about my food and the experience.
