“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

“By far one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to! Excellent service- food made to order. Chicken Scarpiello was so flavorful with a lot of garlic, herbs and a touch of lemon. Penne Ala Vodka one of the best I have ever tasted! Chicken Verde was so tender it melted in your mouth!!“

I've had the reg pizza, Sicilian slices, white slice and the chicken parm slices all taste delicious and fills you up. I've had the baked ravioli delicious and tonight I'm eating the stuffed shells. Both taste genuine and homemade. The sauce is delicious as well. Nothing makes me feel like this is out of a can ingredients. I personally have eaten at over 727 different pizza places over my time and I know my pizza and meals at pizza places. So if your ever in the neighborhood please give this place a chance. “Truly a hidden gem! The owner/ chef is truly the sweetest and has worked very hard to make it to this point. The food is made to any specifications requested, accommodatng many different dietary restrictions! The staff is working very hard always! We ate South Indian, Indo Chinese, and Punjabi - all of it was wonderful.
Yes it's a small space, but the food is absolutely worth the wait. And if you can't wait, get take out!

“Found this restaurant by accident on Friday and we love it! In fact, we went back Saturday for Churros and Sunday for dinner again. On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! The entire staff from front and back of house are very friendly. So glad we found them and looking forward to going back! We HIGHLY recommend them!“

They are also knowledgeable about what is soy-free/spicy/etc. The medium plate was $16.50 and the food is so good that you will think about the meal months later. It was worth every penny. “Healthy, Delicious, and Made with Care- I’ve made the shift from traditional fast food to healthy, relatively fast food — and this place has made that change not only easy, but enjoyable. The salads are always fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Their attention to detail is exceptional.

They take the time to get things right, every time — whether it’s making sure my own salads are chopped just the way I like (finely, but never mushy), or going above and beyond to create a special, unchopped “social” salad for my young grandson, complete with perfectly placed grilled chicken, avocado, and egg on a warm bed of grains.

On top of the great food, the team here is warm, professional, and genuinely kind. Staff members Sim and Swendy consistently show thoughtfulness and care.

“10/10 place. I won't lie I usually only do reviews if there is a incentive or if I dislike the place. This however, is a great establishment the burgers taste fantastic they're not overly expensive considering other food options around the area as well as similar smash burger spots.

It's become my favorite go to burger place... the portions are great, the menu is great, good staff, good prices.

If you are familiar with 7th street burger or other viral similar smash burger spots this is a better version of them all. They definitely could use some marketing to get a bit more bussines but man this is probably now my favorite take out place in all of bayside.“
