“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

“The place is awsome. The inside is clean and the atmosphere is awsome. The staff is top notch. The food is delicious here. I've had the reg pizza, Sicilian slices, white slice and the chicken parm slices all taste delicious and fills you up. I've had the baked ravioli delicious and tonight I'm eating the stuffed shells. Both taste genuine and homemade. The sauce is delicious as well. Nothing makes me feel like this is out of a can ingredients. I personally have eaten at over 727 different pizza places over my time and I know my pizza and meals at pizza places. So if your ever in the neighborhood please give this place a chance. “Truly a hidden gem! The owner/ chef is truly the sweetest and has worked very hard to make it to this point. The food is made to any specifications requested, accommodatng many different dietary restrictions! The staff is working very hard always! We ate South Indian, Indo Chinese, and Punjabi - all of it was wonderful.
Yes it's a small space, but the food is absolutely worth the wait. And if you can't wait, get take out!

“Dined here about a couple months ago and enjoyed the delicious food and good service. There's an entrance to the restaurant from the front exterior of the mall (near the parking lot) and another entrance just a few steps inside of the Broadway Mall. Restaurant was very clean, bright, and spacious; has a very good dining atmosphere and décor. Restaurant was quiet when dined here for lunch. Waiter was attentive and courteous. We had the kinya ramen combos with takoyaki and shrimp tempura. The ramen broth was rich and a little creamy, noodles were great, pork was delicious, but the ramen egg had a very strong chemical taste, like it was possibly over-marinated. I love the complimentary prawn chips; it's a wonderful childhood nostalgia snack. Overall, the food was satisfying, delicious, and very filling.“

A huge shoutout to Oscar and the team there today, who were beyond helpful and so attentive. Oscar made everything feel effortless and was so intuitive — taking care of things before I even had to ask. That kind of service is rare and so appreciated. “All vegan except for fish, which is kept on a separate steam table. The food is all pre-made and kept hot on a steam table, so service is quick. The service is extremely friendly, and the workers are happy to explain the dishes to you. They are also knowledgeable about what is soy-free/spicy/etc. The medium plate was $16.50 and the food is so good that you will think about the meal months later. It was worth every penny. I cannot wait to go back!“
