The burgers are fabulous, the "pudder" burger was made to order,cooked to perfection, and the toppings were extremely fresh. While my wife had ice cream for dessert, I had another pudder burger ! “This place is phenomenal! My family and I stopped in for lunch and we were extremely happy with the service and the food. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.I had the best shrimp tacos of my life! I am a home chef and take my food very seriously…I’m still dreaming about them!!! “Had a beautiful brunch this past St Patrick’s day. it was incredible, I had the Spanish Omelette and my partner had the lobster benedict. We also shared the unbelievable Monkey Bread and it was fresh out of the oven and topped off with Cream cheese frosting! it was the second time we had the pleasure of being served by Jesse. His personality is so endearing and his service was impeccable. We had an absolutely lovely brunch and will be back, and asking for Jesse of course!“

It's part of a very charming inn dating back to the early 1800s so waiting for a table in the cozy bar or by the lobby's roaring fireplace is a pleasure. The Sherwood Inn Favorites part of the menu is the most unusual, with old-fashioned dishes like a Yankee Pot Roast and roast chicken. Lots of mashed potatoes or Tavern Rice to accompany all entrees! We enjoyed the grilled duck breast and a roast beet salad which is suited to lighter appetites. Older crowd with lots of locals and more casual vibe in the bar. Delicious berry cobbler dessert.“
“My martini was spot on the bartender even offered to give me blue cheese olives!! Our server was phenomenal! The food was authentic Italian which is hard to come by on this area. Dessert was divine. The owner Emily was so gracious and lovely to talk to. She even offered to give us a ride home if our Uber didn't show!! Will absolutley be coming back!“
“Me and my boyfriend came for a spa weekend in the area escaping NYC. Found this place and I totally recommend it. Flavours were amazing. Had the risotto and artichoke pizza. So genuine and rustic. Service was super nice and friendly. I wish more places like this existed closer to NYC.“

It was a very large platter and was good since I like garlic, but if you don't, that wouldn't be the dish for you! I tried their root beer, and it too was very good. My husband has the black tea and thought it could have been a touch sweeter. We were too full to try the ice cream.“

We had 1 strawberry shake that was enough for 2 people & if you are still hungry they have many pies for dessert. I think our waitress was one of the owners. “We were staying at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Auburn after a long drive and wanted to eat somewhere we could walk to….well this is the place folks…we called for reservations around 3:45 for 6:30. We got there around 6:25 and we were seated by the fireplace. For a Wednesday evening the place had a really good crowd….our service was excellent and the food was amazing…standout dishes were the Salad Lyonnaise with bacon and a poached egg, Foie Gras special(really amazing), Fried Buttermilk Chicken and lastly the blueberry creme brûlée for dessert. Our cocktails were excellent also….Definitely the place to eat in the downtown area and only a 3 minute walk from the hotel not 8 like Google maps had indicated….“

“Busy decor - could sit there for a couple hours and not register everything adorning this place. Server was friendly and attentive. Only had finger foods, but it was good. The spiked hot cocoa was delicious, and perfect on a cold snowy day, but was more expensive than I expected, so a little sticker shock when the bill came. Would go back though; fun place.“
