“I’m a Panda Express regular. My old nickname was “panda” because of how much Panda Express I eat. So you can treat this review with a high degree of credibility. This Panda Express met the high expectations that I hold. The food was delicious and fresh, the service was acceptable, and the cookies brought good fortune as promised. Overall the negative reviews are UNJUSTIFIED. The only unpleasant part of the experience was my chronic knee pain, which I do not blame the restaurant for.

If you’re road-tripping along the New York State Thruway (I-87) and need a solid break, the Sloatsburg Travel Plaza is a surprisingly good pit stop. On our way northbound, we pulled off at Exit 33N and were pleasantly surprised by the range of food options and clean, modern setup. It’s more than just your typical gas-and-go spot.

We stopped for lunch and went big with Panda Express—and I mean big. The portions here were generous, which is exactly what you need when you’re a few hours into a drive and still have more miles ahead. I had the Orange Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken, both of which hit the spot. The orange chicken had that perfect sweet-and-savory balance with a crispy coating, while the kung pao had a nice kick and a good mix of veggies and peanuts for crunch.

The dining area was clean and had plenty of seating, which made for a comfortable, quick lunch break. Service was efficient, even though it was decently busy.

“I stopped in Ramsey Chinese Food for dinner which is in a strip mall near City Hall where I had to visit that night. We were having a cold front and I was really in the mood for some soup. I saw that they had Cantonese Wonton soups on the menu and I thought this would be great. So I ordered the House Special Cantonese Soup, which had a nice portion of Roast Pork, Shrimp and Chicken in it with Lo Mein noodles in a rich chicken broth. \n\nIt was not the richer chicken broth I was used to in these soups but the owner’s daughter explained to me that she was catering to the locals who like a clearer stock. It was still delicious. They put lots of meats and I had the opinion for vegetables which I declined. I really enjoyed it and it cleared me up and I felt better.\n\nI think the egg rolls were made in house and were perfectly fried and filled with chopped roast pork and cabbage. They were wonderful. I ate at the restaurant and they have a nice tv where I could watch the local news. It was a nice dinner and I liked their very friendly owners. \n\nYou will have a nice meal here.“
