All of our guests were ranting and raving on how good the cake was!! I was also pleasantly surprised with the gluten free area’ i was able to pick up a cupcake for my daughter so she could enjoy some sweets as well!! Highly recommend!“

“I ordered online to pick up and my service dropped so I called back. The same gentleman answered and was very nice and patient, took my order and I forgot to ask for salt, pepper and ketchup on my egg sandwich and he kindly asked if I wanted to add it so kudos for the attention to detail. I arrived and parking is sufficient and it’s right off the main road so it’s easy to access. The Chinese lady greeted me at the counter and was genuinely nice and warm toned and asked if I was there for pick up. My breakfast was ready and she rung me up for $6 and offered me a free coffee which I declined. They sue take debit with a $5 minimum and they use a modern payment device so no pin is needed if you don’t mind that and paying is instant so no waiting on that end either, I was in and out in less then 3 min. The place had a decent amount of seating and was very clean and the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves. This place is a winner and sets the bar high for the other establishments in the area. I ordered an everything bagel with 2 fried eggs, sausage and pepper jack cheese (my only critique would be that they did put a very thin slice of cheese I would have liked to taste more of it) and it was delicious. “I stop for coffee and ham/egg/cheese on a biscuit several days a week. The coffee is delicious, so is the Raspberry Lemon hot tea! Just as important, the entire staff is personable, genuine, and it’s always a pleasant and perfect experience. Jeff is a wonderful human being. He was very supportive with a fundraising campaign I am very passionate about; one that will help youth in our community. That showed me how much Jeff and Sweetwaters West Main matters for Smithtown!“

“they have an amazing worker in there. Picked up a party tray Friday the 21st she asked if it was for a party. I said no my grandma had just passed away and family was in from out of state/country so i offered to bring pretzels. I said we would have celebrated her 91st birthday today and she said you know everyone on their birthday gets a free pretzel. She said for this particular pretzel why not everyone take a little piece so it’s like she’s there celebrating with you. That worker without knowing how much I’ve been hurting made me smile and feel a little lighter. thank you for making a hard time in someones life just a little better by your words and actions great establishment besides food“

We got our wedding cake from them and it’s truly the most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen, and I’m still getting compliments on how it looked and tasted weeks later. When we were ordering they were very flexible with flavors and gave us plenty of options, they didn’t say no to anything we wanted, everything was possible. You can tell they really care about what they do. You are in good hands with Benkert’s.“

“Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect! We requested a chocolate sponge cake with alternating layers of chocolate and strawberry mousse filling. It was delicious and beautifully presented. We saved some cake for a few days after our wedding to have with family and it was still just as good as the night of! The Rolling Pin was a very easy vendor to book as they made the process of deciding on our cake and ordering our cake very smooth. When we picked up our samples, I also grabbed a blueberry scone for the drive home and it was so good. If they weren't so far from where we live, I'd be going to the bakery regularly for my sweets!“

I go especially for their fresh goods - baklava, spanakopita, tiropita, galaktoboureko, kourabiedes, koulourakia, melomakarona, etc. Everything is so fresh and so delicious. They have a small hot case with the spanakopita and tiropita, so you can get a piece ready to eat. The people there are so nice as well. Good variety of cheeses and frozen goods too. One star removed for convenience of store hours. They are only open during the day, Monday to Friday. I wish they would consider opening on Saturday, if even for a few hours, or staying open past 4pm a few times a week.“

“THE BEST bagels ever. On Long Island and in New York. I’m not qualified to make that statement but from my personal opinion it’s the absolute best. I’m a local to the area and have been going here for years and recommend it to family and friends from out of town. It’s a great family run business as well.The bagels are soft and chewy, a perfect combo and the cream cheese is smooth and delicious. They put a good amount on there as well.Whenever we are back in town we always grab a bagel here. Highly recommend!“

“Definitely a Long Island thing! I’m not sure places like this would thrive where we live now down in Florida. Brings back memories, but… I don’t know. Does everyone make bagels different these days? Seemed more like the consistency of a roll on the inside. This is the second place I tried in this area and same thing. The linzer tart was acceptable. Not a stiff enough or dense enough cookie in my opinion. Other than that, great!“
