“Stopped by on a lazy Sunday afternoon and ended up enjoying one of the most comforting meals I’ve had in a while. The tortilla soup completely stole the show — rich, flavorful, perfectly thick, and packed with crispy blue corn tortilla pieces in every bite. Honestly wished they had a bigger bowl because it disappeared fast.

Tried the bean & epazote tetelas on the side and they paired so well with the soup. Also shared the black bean avocado tlayudita and chilaquiles — both fresh, satisfying, and full of flavor. The chilaquiles do get a bit pricey once you add the extras, but the taste made it worth it for us.

Came around 2 PM on a Sunday and still found outdoor seating easily, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and unhurried. Great food, warm atmosphere, and one of those places you leave already thinking about coming back to.“

“Miss Barbs is a Crown Heights establishment of the highest degree.

Their coffee and pastries are my favorites in the area, and it's a great space to hang out or work.

All the staff is super friendly and the owners are just the best.

My favorite thing about Miss Barbs is how integrated they are with the community. They run events all the time, and they're all super fun, like the spelling bee or the trash pick-up days or the little markets.

They've also got great vibes at night and it's an awesome place to get a glass of wine or two. Karaoke is my favorite thing ever and sometimes they've got a karaoke night. You can check their insta for the calendar of events.

“After researching where to find great pancakes, Colina Cuervo kept coming up, and they absolutely did not disappoint. The pancakes were fluffy, delicious, and honestly some of the best I've had. Every bite was wonderful. They came with an amazing dulce de leche sauce and syrup that made them even more irresistible.
Alex, who took my order, was incredibly kind and greeted me with a beautiful smile. The entire atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and I truly believe the warmth of a place says a lot about the food being served. Everything felt made with care.

“Came in on a Sunday afternoon and had a pleasant experience. They have fast, free wifi and reasonable drink prices. I opted for the iced matcha latte (per usual), and they sweetened it with honey for free which was nice. The matcha was very smooth and yummy.

I felt so bad because I spilled my drink when moving seats to get closer to an outlet, and there was still at least half of the drink left. They kindly cleaned up the mess and even made me another drink, despite me insisting it was okay. Really appreciated it :)

I had the iced Ube Eclipse, which comes with a shot of espresso, and it was absolutely delicious. They recommended sipping it before mixing it with the straw, and the flavor was so well balanced. “I love dilly dally!!! The name really embodies the experience: you don't want to leave. I have been many times, and the food is always high quality and delicious. The aesthetic and the staff make you feel at home there. I recently spent many hours there working during the day. There was wifi and many outlets available. All the staff were super friendly snd nice, recommended some sightseeing here in Brooklyn (my wife and I were visiting). Cug popped by, super chill dude, had a small convo. The food was great, I got the Time Immemorial and my wife got the Ya Sista, both were exceptional. Also, there is a nice selection of imported Italian sauces, pastas, oils, etc. Highly recommend!“

The coffee is excellent and I keep eyeing the pastries (which I learned are made in-house) but I come in after a run so it never feels like the right time. “After breakfast at a local diner, I walked up to have another coffee at Madame BONTE on 84th street between 1st and 2nd. Street level is rather small with just a few stools on the right. Order counter is in the middle. Then I went downstairs to the wine bar area where there are lots of tables and chairs. There is also a good sized bar for the evening wine business.
Very comfortable area and there are also a few tables in an outdoor patio area but no one was there as too hot.“
