“See ya Sook! Bourbon Street Beignet is now my favorite local pastry shop. Born in New Orleans (Charity Hospital-1952) and lived in Paris for a few years as a teenager. “Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. Not to mention, the burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Made with high quality grass fed beef! This is gourmet nyc restaurant style food right in our local neighborhood! Keep up the great work!“

“Great coffee, the older lady who is usually there is very friendly and welcoming. A barista was there that I’ve never seen before and maybe it was a language barrier but I think not she was rude. I said bless you after she sneezed no acknowledgement when she gave me my coffee I said thank you once again just turned her back no acknowledgement. “Great customer service. The people who work there are knowledgeable and they have the best stock of bikes around. At 5’1” no one ever has bikes in my size. Not only did Piermont have a bike, they had 4 for me to test. Sunny also told me the size I originally thought I needed was too big and his recommendation for the smaller frame was spot on. I ended up with a 44 cm Cannondale Evo and couldn’t be happier.“

“This place is a slice of heaven, simply the best place to dock your boat in Westchester. The owner is an awesome guy, he puts his heart into this place and it shows. They are always friendly and quick with my order.They have Coffee Roasters coffee, a favorite of mine, but they rarely make decaf, if that's what you're after.It is a tiny shop with limited seating, you'll probably be more comfortable in your car or back home, but there's always news on the tv to keep you amused, should you sit and eat.Park in the Rite-Aid lot or on the side street. They're 2 blocks from the train, and there's plenty of small places to shop or investigate nearby.“

“Today my mom and I stumbled upon Ramsey Corner Café in Ramsey, New Jersey, and what a wonderful find it was!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome from the staff. Our server, Maria, was incredibly friendly, upbeat, and cheerful. Great service can make all the difference, and she definitely helped make our experience special.

The daily specials looked amazing, and the menu had so many tempting options. While we were seated, I happened to notice the owner outside wiping down tables and getting everything ready for the day. It may seem like a small thing, but it spoke volumes about the pride and care he takes in his business. It was refreshing to see that level of dedication firsthand.

Now let’s talk about the omelet! I honestly can’t remember the last time I had an omelet this good. I ordered one with sausage, turkey bacon, onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. It was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and beautifully presented. So many places overcook omelets or leave them bland, but this one was absolutely delicious. Even my mom could tell how much I was enjoying it!

The hash browns were perfectly cookednot greasy at alland everything tasted fresh and homemade.

I am so happy we discovered this gem. I can’t wait to come back, try more items from the menu, and tell my friends and family about it. Ramsey Corner Café has definitely earned a new loyal customer!

Coffee is great, but I wouldn’t recommend the matcha, it was overly sweet and not very strong. Nice ambiance especially when the fireplace is going. Good space to work or hang out with friends, but be aware that on the weekends it can get pretty packed with the cyclist crowd - though they’re very friendly, they take up a lot of seating!“

Homemade Hibiscus Iced Tea
Farm Burger

This country style cafe is located on the Abram Demaree Homestead farm. This building has been around since 1700s and was formerly a general store and tavern.

All of the menu items are freshly prepared in house using organic ingredients directly from the farm.

These are a couple of the lunch menu items I explored:

Homemade Hibiscus Iced Tea:
This herbal beverage has a reddish color; its appearance is different from an original iced tea.

The drink was very refreshing with a slightly tart taste.

Farm Burger:
This ounce angus patty includes lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and a secret sauce. I also added yellow American cheese for a $1 up charge.

I cannot identify the ingredients of the secret sauce, hence the name. It was really tasty and I requested a small extra cup on the side for dipping.

For the most part, this was a tasty burger. Next time, I will request to have the patty cooked medium well because I feel a well done burger compromises its flavor.

This cafe also serves as a farmers market; they sell grocery items such as homemade honey and farm fresh eggs. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend dining in so you can take in the country atmosphere.
