“I finally had a chance to try Exotics Eats, and it definitely lived up to the hype! Overall, I’d give it a 9/10. Fast service. The chicken wings were absolutely delicious and easily my favorite part of the meal. The shrimp was seasoned well and cooked perfectly, the rice was flavorful, and the mac and cheese was really good with perfectly al dente noodles.

The collard greens were also well-seasoned and enjoyable. The candied yams had great flavor too. I personally prefer my yams in chunks, but that’s just a personal preference and didn’t take away from the taste.

I also had the chance to meet the owner, and she was incredibly kind and welcoming. Great customer service always makes a difference, and it definitely added to the experience.

If you’re looking to support a Black-owned business and enjoy a flavorful, home-style meal, I’d definitely recommend giving Exotics Eats a try. Between the food and the hospitality, I’ll definitely be returning!”

Though this is my regular go-to place, it never fails to impress. I visited again for a quick bite, and the experience was as fantastic as always. The atmosphere is incredibly vibrant and welcoming. The staff here is consistently attentive, fast, and friendly, which is exactly why I keep coming back.

“I traveled all the way from Upper West Side because a friend suggested it, and it was absolutely worth it!!! I loved the atmosphere, the restaurant, the wine list, and the food! I highly recommend trying the fagioli all’uccelletto, and don’t miss their pastas, we had a phenomenal cacio e pepe, and the cotoletta alla bolognese was truly amazing. Food is so authentic and spontaneous!!! We shared a bottle of their Poderi Melini Chianti Classico, which was perfect with our food and was recommended to us by Jacopo, in his typical Tuscanian accent. I’ll definitely be back! Ridgewood has a great Italian spot. What a discovery!”

My daughter took me to Margie’s for my birthday, and we had such a wonderful experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm, upbeat, and full of great energy.

A special shoutout to our waitress, Carla, who made the experience even better! She was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and made sure our meals came out in a timely manner. Her energy was amazing, and she truly made us feel taken care of.

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.”

“I love the pizza here, especially on weekends. If I go mid week sometimes it’s not as good.

The service is a bit of a problem for me. While I like going, I frequently feel talked down to by the young women hosting/serving there. There is very little effort put into explaining the menu. I don’t drink, and I see a visible annoyance when we return the drink menu without an order. The person serving me food and pouring water is often a brown busboy. At this rate, I’d rather just put in my order myself. (I hope they tip out to the busboys and back of the house!)

The other day, for a very important occasion w a reservation & note, they made us wait 30 minutes, no apologies and nothing to make up for the wait. I used to go quite often and now feel weird about going.

The atmosphere is confusing. It’s super beautiful inside but the acoustics make it a bit hellish. Some of the worst people of the area get together, screaming loudly, or even talking- and you can’t hear yourself think. But that’s not rly the restaurants fault!”

“If you love ramen this is the place for you.
The ramen here is delicious, rich , full of flavor and best part it taste homemade! The Korean fried chicken is definitely a must try and it has a great amount of heat to it both are 10/10 for sure.

The owner and servers are very nice, welcoming and helpful. If you’re unsure about what to order or need help ordering they’re happy to explain the menu and help you choose.
