“Had the falafel sandwich like many times as a vegan, but this was soooo good. Crispy outside, soft moist inside. Your choice of “salads”/pickled veggies to add into it. I had baba ghanoush, Julienne pickled carrots , and a cubed roasted eggplant, onion, and tomato. So flavorful without being overpowering w any one ingredient. Eddy makes everything homemade by hand. Everything! The falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, the pickles, the pita. Pita so good. Large thick and soft. My friends had a beef kabob sandwich and chicken plate. They said it was delicious. “Had dinner at Tavern 157 with friends last night and had such a great experience! The atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was excellent. Definitely try the foie gras uni and oysters. They also have an amazing happy hour menu—perfect for a night out with friends!“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“If you love ramen this is the place for you.
The ramen here is delicious, rich , full of flavor and best part it taste homemade! The Korean fried chicken is definitely a must try and it has a great amount of heat to it both are 10/10 for sure.
The owner and servers are very nice, welcoming and helpful. If you’re unsure about what to order or need help ordering they’re happy to explain the menu and help you choose.

“A great pure South Indian vegetarian restaurant, especially for authentic Tamil Nadu-style flavors. Everything was tasty, flavorful, and genuinely authentic.
They offer around 10–12 dosa varieties, rice dishes, and appetizers. Prices are very affordable, and the portions are moderate for the price, making it easy to try several items without spending much.
The service was good and fast. It’s an order-and-pick-up-over-the-counter kind of restaurant, making it a convenient option for a quick meal. There is plenty of seating in the basement, accessible by stairs or elevator. There’s also a small temple gift shop.
Parking can be challenging since it’s on a busy street, but a dedicated temple parking lot on Smart Street, one street over, has space for about 35–40 cars.
Overall, a great spot for authentic Tamil Nadu-style food, affordable prices, quick service, and plenty of dosa choices!“

“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. The flavors and taste are just the best. No matter what you order you will not go wrong. The service is top notch and Rocco and his staff are just the best at what they do. “In my opinion, this is the best Indonesian Restaurant in the U.S. Most Indonesian restaurants in the U.S. taste are unauthentic, which leads to an unauthentic experience. This place definitely had its ingredients set for a memorable experience we will never forget. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Pla Ma Nao was one of my favorites — the whole branzino was tender, and the spicy lime broth was bright, tangy, and full of Thai flavors. The Tom Yum seafood was also excellent, with a rich, spicy and sour broth and plenty of seafood.
The papaya salad (Som Tum) was fresh, crunchy, spicy and refreshing, and went perfectly with the heavier dishes. We ordered several dishes to share and honestly everything on the table worked really well together.
If you like authentic, bold Thai flavors, this is definitely a place worth trying. Highly recommend the Pla Ma Nao, Tom Yum, and papaya salad. We’ll definitely be back!“
