“The service was great! Tried the ground beef tacos and my friend had the chicken. Small, but really tasty! There were two sauces with it too, I believe they were an avocado sauce and like a habenero sauce (which had some kick!). I'll go back again.“

“We decided to explore an area we don't visit very often.This is the first time for us both here. We are glad that we came. “The food has consistently been delicious and well portioned. We highly suggest the French Onion soup and Artichoke Spinach dip as appetizers, sooooo good! The only downside of this great eatery is how tight the room is, which makes for a quite noisy atmosphere. We will certainly be coming back many times more in the future!“

Have been here probably 10 times for both dine in and take out. Never an issue.Food is freshly made each time. Very good flavor and portions. Very reasonable prices. “We had dinner for two in the main dining area next to the roaring fireplace. Beautiful and charming decor. Food was perfectly prepared. We had the duck and the fisherman’s stew. My husband said it was the best duck he ever had. The fisherman’s stew was delicious. The saffron broth was amazing. Charlotte’s is a special place for any celebration. We will be back. Desiree our server couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly.“

“My first experience with Stissing House was for my birthday dinner with friends and it did not disappoint- we had a mixed group of people who drink and people who don’t and there was a great selection for both- I had a salted lime mock-tail -I believe — and it was perfect. I also had their chips, pickled vegetables as sides, coal roasted scallops in green butter sauce our meal came with perfectly dressed watercress - it was all quite tasty- sadly I was not able to eat any of the desserts due to dietary restrictions I wish I didn’t have to follow- but the group said they were delicious! The staff went out of their way to make my birthday a special occasion- they went above and beyond—- I will always be so appreciative and thankful for that!Our small group loved everything they drank and every dish they ordered. The candle lit tables and minimalist colonial vibes, and being able to sit and watch their beautiful open kitchen is an experience in its own. “As you enter the place, a magnificent setting, adelightful marriage of a cozy dining room and a view of the wood burning oven. Sitting in any table, you have a wonderful view of the workshop-like kitchen where you can see the chefs working. The menu has a generous selection of many types of meat and fish.
