“I have to admit, I DO NOT eat sushi at all. I brought my wife because she loves sushi and it was her birthday. I did my research and all the reviews were very positive. I decided to indulge even though I thought I wouldn’t like the meal. Much to my surprise I loved the meal and my wife was in all her glory. Watching the chefs prepare each course with the precision and attention to detail was great. These chefs really take pride in their craft. 10 out of 10!! Must try again!!!”

“We had an incredible experience at Luca in Stony Brook! Came with a group of six friends for a family-style dinner, and everything from the service to the food was outstanding.
Our server, Kacey, made the night—she was incredibly attentive, funny, and personable, with spot-on recommendations throughout the meal. The cocktails were excellent, and they helped me find the perfect glass of wine to pair with our dishes.

The menu had something for everyone, including one pescatarian in our group who had plenty of delicious vegetarian and seafood options.

We shared a range of dishes:
First Course: Artichoke & Crab, Summer Squash, Calamari, and Meatballs—each dish was fresh and flavorful.
Second Course: The Squid Ink Agnolotti and Braised Rabbit Paccheri—both unique and beautifully balanced.
Third Course: Lamb Chop, Potato-Crusted Halibut, and the Wagyu Skirt Steak (a daily special)—all cooked perfectly, with layered textures and bold flavors.

The portions were exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber—elegant but rich and satisfying. Everyone in our group left with very full (and very happy) bellies. Each of us had a different favorite dish, which says a lot about the variety and quality of the food. Can’t wait to come back!”

“The food and service are top tier. The restaurant is extremely clean. The staff was friendly and courteous. We really enjoyed the food. We had the angus steak, salmon, shrimp, fried rice and veggies from the hibachi menu. Everything was delicious and expertly prepared in perfect portions.

Kid-friendliness: They have some decent options for kids. We ordered the kids meal from the hibachi menu which included a generous portion of a couple different options.”

“This is hands down the best soup dumpling place I’ve ever been to. I lived in Manhattan for 20 years and never experienced such authenticity as Red Tiger Their crabmeat and pork soup dumplings are the best thing on the menu. However, they have so many different ones to try. Everytime we come here we always try a new one.

“I was looking for a new place to order some Chinese food for lunch. I came across Taichi yesterday. It is now my New go to spot . The Resturant was clean, the food was cheaper and tasted much better than the other place I would get food from. The food was prepared quickly and the counter girl was very pleasant.They had napkins, plastic forks and spoons, side sauces ,and fortune cookies on the counter for you to help yourself. Unlike some of the Chinese Resturants I visited in the past where they didn't give you any plastic ware to eat with, or one fortune cookie when you ordered three combination meals, or something else. You get the idea. Another big thing is their menus and prices matched what you were charged, not like the former place I went to where the menu read one price and they charged you a higher price and when you questioned them about it were told that they didn't have enough time to have new menus printed it up yet. Taichi also serves up bubble tea, poke bowls, and ramen noodles. This place is like a dream come true. I will frequent and visit many more times placing orders. I highly recommend it. On a scale of 1 thru 10, I give it a 10.”

“Such a pretty place… excellent service and good food (and tea of course too!) We just had a tea party lunch for my 4 year old tea party lover (not a group of children, but the family with grands) and it was perfect. Bonus was that I am gluten free and they were able to provide a great gluten free full tea service for me with very tasty sandwiches, scone and desserts. 🥰”

“I actually never heard of this place, but I was searching for Teramasu online and I came across this place. So I order a slice of Teramasu, I have to say it was absolutely delicious, and it came in a nice pink box with flatware on a flat black plate. “The barbecue pork banh mi here is some of the best I have ever had. Always ask for the green/orange sauce if dining in. If taking out it costs 50 cents per sauce which is kind of annoying but it is really good. Their other options are great as well. I usually would also get the thai iced tea which was really good. Previous issues was that there was one man who would seemingly be very rude but he seemed to have gotten a little better.”

“If you go to the hospital and end up in the cafeteria, you can be sure to find something that will satisfy you. They have prepackaged meals and fresh hot food available. Comfort food is a plus, and the chicken tenders and Mac and Cheese put a smile on almost everyone’s face. You can be sure to find vegetarian options at the salad bar and some hot vegetarian options on the hot bar. The grill and pizza station are also open during the day Monday through Friday.

Vegetarian options: They have an entire salad bar and some hot options.

Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions there are always options.

Parking: To be able to park at the hospital you have to either do valet at the ER entrance or the main entrance. You can park in the parking garage or out in the open lot once you pass the toll booth.

Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome in the marketplace and there is plenty of space at the table.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is a hospital so it is easy to get in and out without a problem.”

“Husband and I came for the priced fix menu and the experience to bring our dog which was a fantastic idea and super well executed. The outdoor area was really nice and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the service itself was chaos. It took a full 60 minutes for appetizers to come out and then another 45/50 minutes for entrees which were just ok. My husbands burger was cold and my fish was overcooked. Dessert was very good. The waiter was very sweet but I'm shocked there was no manager in sight. They attributed the slow service to there being a party but the parking lot was empty and the inside of the restaurant was also empty so very confusing. Aside from the decor and ambiance the experience was a one and done.”
