“My favorite place for coffee. They roast their own coffee and custom grind it to your needs, French press in my case. Great hot and iced coffee to go. Iced is poured over coffee cubes not ice cubes. So it’s never diluted as the ice melts. And they have tasty mini croissants to go with it 😋 Conveniently located across 40th Street station on the 7 line so you can grab your coffee and quickly get to the El. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s always nice to go there. They’ve been in business for about 60 years so they’re doing it right.“

The two private rooms have their own temperature regulation for different preferences and going solo is an option because there’s usually staff open to playing with you, though I highly suggest bringing friends. The cafe is spacious and the drinks and pastries are delicious. I wanted to try the famous pistachio croissant but they were out at 2pm! So I got the pistachio muffin on my guy's rec. It's filled with pistachio butter. So delicious, pistachio lover's dream. Their hot chocolate is really rich and chocolatey too, not watery at all.

As for service, the reviews about wanting to be the baristas' best friend are accurate, they are very kind and caring people. The guy who took my order thoughtfully toasted my muffin without me even asking!“
