“It's good, but, since I am a Nepali and have tried their food back home, I'd say it's not the same as it was back home. But, then again, ingredients change the taste, so, I would say this place is worth trying and you never know you might love the food. :)“

“We are so excited that this amazing Tibetan restaurant reopened in a new location after the original location burned down in February 2021. The support of the community helped make it possible for them to continue serving delicious food in Jackson Heights. It’s as good as we remember, and the staff members are so kind. Please support our favorite Tibetan restaurant if you have the chance. You won’t regret it! 🥰“

“Pretty small interior w/ a couple of tables. Got take out. Yummy Tibetan food!
- Chili chicken ($15.99): 9/10, I really liked the flavor! Would get again
- Chasha momo ($12.99): 7/10, yummy, but not as good as my Tibetan friend’s mom’s momos. Prob wouldn’t get again
- Mango lassi ($5.50): 6/10, thick, but more yogurt flavor than mango flavor“

“Very cozy place with amazing food. The lasuni gobi was a 10/10, rice perfectly cooked, and the garlic naan was outstanding. Butter chicken and chicken korma were full of flavor. If you don’t like ginger, skip the jhol Himalayan dumplings. Overall, great experience and unbeatable prices.“

“Great authentic Nepali food. It was on do the few restaurants open late, but the service was still great and our waitress was very helpful with explaining the dishes to us.
The samosas came out hot and were pretty standard. The garlic naan was good too. We ordered 3 curries and a side dish, which was plenty, even though they look small. They all came with rice as well.
The lamb curry had a great flavor with a lot of tender lamb. The butter chicken was so creamy and good for those who aren’t a fan of spice. The chicken curry was also well spiced and so flavorful. The cauliflower (Gigi Manchurian) was also flavorful with a sweet and spicy profile.
Overall, everything was aromatic perfectly spiced and not too spicy. It was also super reasonably priced with big portions and a lot of meat. Would love to come back and try more dishes.“

“Reservations highly recommended since it’s a small spot. Every dish was honestly great, so excited to go back to try their other stuff, but the beef longganisa and ube ko achar I would def order again in a heartbeat. The sauce for the gnocchi and the skewer were 10/10. Also, their Green Leaf drink with pandan - SO GOOD.
My favorite desserts are literally silvanas and cheese ice cream, so it’s def their own version of these classic Filipino desserts, but satisfied with how they interpreted them.
Can’t wait to come back!“

“While the portions are modest, the culinary quality is exceptional. We ordered dumplings, beef noodle soup, and a fried appetizer. The beef dumplings were particularly noteworthy. The establishment cultivates a serene atmosphere, adorned with greenery and infused with Zen and Tibetan cultural elements; furthermore, both the décor and the tableware possess a distinct, vintage charm.“

“Wonderful lunch, good price, I love the butter chicken- very creamy and flavorful. Their service is friendly and fast also. They raised their price slightly but I cant blame them because they quality was kept.
They also brought to your table hot buttered naan- which surprisingly was my favorite.“

“Great food at great prices in Jackson Heights. The momos are great, although I recommend ordering the steamed momos over the fried (the outside can be VERY crunchy and dry). My Nepali friend recommended I try the sel roti here, which she reported to be authentic, and a favorite Nepali dish.
We enjoyed sharing the thali and sukuti roti (comes with a variety of samplings on a silver platter with rice and roti in the middle). While it is ideal to enjoy one of the platters as an individual (that would be a filling meal), we were able to enjoy 2 between 4 people along with other things to share (momos and chow mein).“

“This was our 2nd time visiting Om Wok, this visit to again sample their momo during the 2025 annual momo crawl. These momo are larger than most, with a moist filling with a bit of savory broth which can almost be compared to a soup dumpling.
Delicious!
The staff and owner are kind, hard working and passionate about their momo and other dishes.
A small, intimate place.
We would not hesitate to return to have more momo and sample other dishes.
Congratulations to Om Wok for being the champions in the 2025 momo crawl!!“

“I’ve been walking by Pranam for quite some time and finally decided to come in - I can’t express how much I’m wishing I visited earlier! I’m blown away by the quality of the food and attentive service. The Momo were incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned and the entrees from varying places in Asia impressed me. Special shout out to the imported beers as well - I got the Nepal Ice beer and am now looking where to source it for myself. Truly a hidden neighborhood staple -
I encourage everyone to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed. Promise.“

“I usually don't review places that I love this much for fear that it will become overcrowded in time. But I also don't want this place to ever go out of business. Well, not the best Tibetan restaurant I've been to, it is very good, especially for the cost. A great addition to the neighborhood. The portions are adequate enough to leave satisfied, but if you're extremely hungry, you'll want some appetizers. Parking in the neighborhood is okay and it's literally next to the Q train. A true find and a hole in the wall that you'll walk by a few times before you realize it's there. Seating is limited and not recommended for large parties.
The servers are pleasant, but they should warn typical Americans expectations that the appetizers don't always come before the meal due to the cooking time.
Last I ordered The Mango Chicken, which was excellent and the vegan momos which weren't as flavorful as I would have hoped. The chili dishes are excellent.
Vegetarian options: There are plenty to choose from for vegetarians and vegans.
Parking: Street parking is adequate.“

“We always come and get whole bag of Selroti when we visit NY. No other place makes sel like them. And if you have not had or know what Sel is it’s regarded as Nepali Dougnut but personally it’s something completely different. Chia and Sel combo is the best and this is the place to get.“

“It’s 10pm and the customer traffic is still at peak. During my meal they had to tell two sets of new customers that there are no more tables. My chicken thali is delicious. It comes with a variety of items and flavors. They kept checking if I actually need anything more and offered to add rice. Very caring and attentive. One customer there was chilling for a long time after done and they just let him relax in peace while the restaurant traffic is busy. Such patience and respect for customers. The Nepali hospitality really impressed me. Of course the food is amazing. Will come again to try other menu items.“

“Delicious Tibetan food right by the 74 street Jackson Heights train station. They have a breakfast menu that goes until 12 pm, and a lunch menu after that.
Prices are very reasonable, service is good, and the ambiance is cozy and cute. The menu has enough variety that it's worth coming back multiple times to try more stuff.
I got the Lhasa Beef Noodles, which were light and delicious. They can be flavored with some of the chili oil sauce on the table, which I will warn is no joke. Overall delicious food
I think the only thing I would have liked differently was for the menu to have some descriptions underneath the names of the food, just because there's so much variety that it can be tricky to know what to pick without searching up what something is. But that's a good problem to have.
Looking forward to coming back again.“

“I visited the Potala Fresh Food truck. These are my favorite momo in the city! The momo are so fresh and juicy you have to lean over the container or plate when you eat them, it’s that juicy! I typically get the beef but they have chicken and other varieties as well. I love that you can also order them frozen if you need a large amount for a home event.“

“This was the only momo food truck that was actually ready to help customers, palato truck across street didnt even come to the truck window to take my order.
Moms momos was perfect for momos. The employee explained everything and i got my order. The veggie momos were good, kind of bland flavorwise but the hot chili sauce addition gave it the kick i wanted.
Momo is a good late night spot in my opinion. I will be back“

“This food truck serves some of the heartiest momo on the streets of Jackson Heights. We got 8 thick and meaty beef momo for $8 at Amdo Kitchen. The go-to sauces here are the red sauce and white sauce. The halal momo are complimented with a thicker, chewier dough than other momos - it takes me three bites to finish each one. Amdo Momo is a favorite for those looking for an authentic taste of Tibetan cuisine. Don't forget to ask for the side of radish!“

“A True Gem, Incredible Thalis & Outstanding Service.
Himalayan Restaurant & Bar has quickly become one of my favorite spots. The food is absolutely phenomenal, especially the thalis. Every time I order one, I’m impressed by the variety, balance, and authenticity. The rice is perfectly cooked, the lentils and curries are rich and flavorful, the vegetables are fresh, and every small side adds something special to the plate. It’s a complete, satisfying meal that feels both comforting and thoughtfully prepared.
What truly makes the experience even better is the service. Prekshya is an excellent server, genuinely kind, attentive, and always welcoming. She has such a warm personality and makes you feel valued from the moment you walk in. She’s a sweetheart and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect.
If you’re looking for authentic Himalayan flavors with beautiful presentation and heartfelt hospitality, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely keep coming back!“

“Om wok, is one the best Tibetan restaurant among Queens moreover the service is great. I came all the way from Long Island to eat their dishes, I have been there last Saturday and the service is superb. It was busy there, but still the server will give their 200% to their customers they go above and beyond to serve their customers. I hardly see this kind of service in this type of small restaurant. Truly impressed by their service. Looking forward to come again.“

“The chicken momos here are sooo good. It comes with the soup even if you don’t ask for it, which makes the experience of eating momos here much better. Of course you can request them to not add the soup in though. Also, the bubble tea here is really really good. It tastes exactly how the fruit is supposed to taste (ex: lychee bubble tea does taste like lychee). Since it mostly just serves bubble tea and momos, I’ve only tried those and giving feedback for them. Service is great, they’re so respectful and nice to you. Atmosphere gets 4 stars because the place isn’t always comfy. The pricing is great too.“

“I ordered mutton Taas, dindo mutton thali and khuwa yomari. I was surprised to taste such a delicious Taas ever in my life, not even while in Nepal. I would recommend to try mutton taas for sure. Dhindo thali was amazing too but taas won it. Yomari is my another favourite desert, coming from the same community where this is a separate festival "Yomari purni", i ordered it all the times when I am here.“
