“My sister was in town and she was landing in LAG and we wanted something that wasn't what we typically eat when she visits. Checked out a couple of options using google search and narrowed it down to those spot.We don't speak Spanish so it was difficult for us at first to communicate, but after pointing at a couple of options and using Google translate we all felt like the waitresses distant cousins!We ordered this appetizer sampler and 3 entrees and everyone ate family style. It was 4 of us and we all had enough to eat plus leftovers.The place was neat and clean and they offered selections of native Peruvian beer, libation and non alcoholic options. Game was playing too!Definitely would give this place another shot if I'm in the neighbors.“

“I hated Lima beans, until I ate them at Contento. In fact, everything I ate there was perfection. My husband and I sat at the bar, which is exactly where I’d sit again. It’s cozy, comfortable and you can see some of the kitchen action as well as chat with fellow diners. The chef came out and helped us pick out a great bottle of wine. I use a wheelchair, which is what first attracted me to going to Contento. I appreciate feeling included. But I have recommended the place to friends and the next time I’m in New York I look forward to going back.“

“Te amo Mission Ceviche! My Boyfriend took me here for my birthday. The entire staff treated me like a King! The customer service at this restaurant is absolutely incredible! The food is a gastronomical fantasy. Incredible flavors, fresh ingredients, truly mouth-watering meals. My Boyfriend is from Peru and he says Mission Ceviche is like coming home for him. He is practically obsessed with the two ceviche dishes (Mixto y Classico). For me it is the short ribs. O-M-G I don’t think I have EVER had a meal so memorable and incredibly delicious. To be honest my words do not do the deliciousness of this meal justice. Simply put...it is oh so good. The short rib is cooked to perfection and is so tender you can eat it with a spoon. The accompanying sides are the perfect compliment. The sauce that’s used...I hope they bottle it because I would buy vats of it! The rice with choclo is sublime. The tres leches rich, creamy and absolutely decadent. The food is amazing. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. The music is fiyah. The location is super convenient—a half a block to the subway and Crosstown bus. What really sets Mission Ceviche apart is the incredible Maitre’d Carlos. He treats all patrons the same...from babies in strollers to celebrities. He is so incredibly kind, humble, gracious, charming, intelligent, professional and inspiring. He is passionate and proud. It is awesome to see him keep the atmosphere ebullient and festive and the food flowing. He manages it all so effortlessly. I think it is because he honestly loves his chosen career and when you’re happy and you know it “work” is pure joy. That joy Carlos gives it to all of the Mission Ceviche patrons. This was not me and my Boyfriend’s first time dining at Mission Ceviche. We are now greeted by our first names when we arrive. Carlos is there and he has the biggest smile and we know that we are in great hands and know we will eat well. Every dining experience at Mission Ceviche is amazing! Go to this restaurant...make the reservation...you will not be disappointed...trust me! Bravo Carlos and the entire Mission Ceviche staff.“

“Everything was amazing!!! If you get one thing, get the artesano ceviche. I would honestly do a tasting menu of all ceviches. “Yea, this place is amazing. We were looking for a quick bite in LIC on a hot day. We were able to sit down before the kitchen break at 3:30pm to order entrees. We sat in the outdoor seating area, which had great jungle ambiance. Servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great cocktail menu. Started off with a few drinks, the pisco sours were amazing. We tried the ceviche mixto and arroz con mariscos, fresh and delicious seafood. There is limited but parking available! Overall, great food, beautiful interior decor, great service, and decent pricing for the area.“

“Because I had to walk back to Times Square from pier 83, I blindly selected this store on the way. It was very quiet in front of the door. I thought it was not open. After entering, I found that it was very big inside and the atmosphere was very good.We ordered a soup, a starter, and three main dishes; the portions were very large, and we felt a little full after finishing the appetizers. The appetizer of beef heart skewers was very suitable for our taste. It was a bit spicy and the children ate a whole skewer. The soup tastes like a non-acid Tom Yum soup, which is very appetizing and relieved my discomfort caused by the boat ride. The three main dishes were also great. The kids thought the chicken was delicious and almost ate the whole quarter. The steak rice has the feel of Pepper Kitchen and the flavor of Xinjiang rice bowl. The fries underneath are very crispy and it is delicious when served hot. I couldn't eat the paella so I packed it away, but I tried it and it was delicious. There was a lot of seafood in it. A very cost-effective store, the menu prices are not expensive, the service is very good, and the customers are almost always attentive. Highly recommended!“

“I live in Manhattan and I decided to go today, Monday, April 29, 2024, to the Caleta 111 restaurant and it was worth the train trip that lasted an hour. “Frida has become one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. They take pride in their presentation and it is evident in every area (outdoor seating, service, wall decor, food, and even the restrooms). My Coconut Margarita was incredible. The perfect blend of sweetness and tequila made every drop amazing and enjoyable. We started with the Pulpo Asado (Octopus). It came on a bed of mash potatoes, was nice and firm, and the dipping sauces complemented every bite. The Watermelon Salad was a work of art. The rocoto orange dressing placed this dish into the stratosphere. So glad that I ordered it and highly recommended. Our entrees were all exquisite. The Birria Tacos were flavorful, had a spicy dipping sauce, and a savory birria broth that made this selection incredible. The Birria Ramen was just as good as the photo that I've presented. Each ingredient came together to create unique explosions of flavor and makes this another recommended item. The sides were just as impressive as the entrees. We ordered the Queso Fresco (Fresh Cheese) Sweet Plantains and Yuca (Casava) Fries. Both... amazing. Don't hesitate to come to Frida and enjoy modern cuisine at its finest.“

I have worked for a long time at the Hirohisa Restaurant in Soho, which has had a Michelin star since 2017 and I found the Peruvian food excellent. (I am Peruvian). I recommend it. And always a fan of Peruvian style chicken. Portions were also generous. Loved trying the lucuma ice cream and picarones for the first time too, ended up eating them together and the fresh warm picarones paired well with the cold ice cream. Flavors were great. My steak came out a little less red than I like but the flavor was delicious. The Peruvian dishes like the Lomo saltado maybe be a bit untraditional in presentation but the flavor is to die for. Outstanding flavors packed with a lot of Peruvian authentic seasonings.. you're gonna want to take my award for it on this one the place is tiny not that many seats so make sure you get there little bit after 5 PM. Only thing I would say is $40 for a sangria which pretty much juice you have to try their chicken Peruvian fried rice not as salty as typical Chinese rice, but still delicious. Always get a side of avocado salad to cleanse your pallet from the richness and fat that is all I will be back and then some and back again lol enjoy.“

Good was actually delicious . Loved the quarter chicken .. it was really tasty and well made . Salad was ok. Rice and bean was so good . There was very less space between tables .. you are almost sitting very close fo the next table and whatever they speak , you can hear and it's kinda not that good . “Cute spot. I went for happy hour on a Monday. Everything my friends and I had was delicious! We had the Guac and chips, Arepita Sliders, Chicken Taquitos, the Salmon entree, and the chicken entree. The drinks were great too. I had a strawberry and mango non-alcoholic mojito. My friends the coconut, passion fruit, and blackberry mojitos. They said theirs were nice and strong too. My friend also ordered the tres le he cake and said that it was delicious! I would def go back!“
