“Te amo Mission Ceviche! My Boyfriend took me here for my birthday. The entire staff treated me like a King! The customer service at this restaurant is absolutely incredible! The food is a gastronomical fantasy. Incredible flavors, fresh ingredients, truly mouth-watering meals. My Boyfriend is from Peru and he says Mission Ceviche is like coming home for him. He is practically obsessed with the two ceviche dishes (Mixto y Classico). For me it is the short ribs. O-M-G I don’t think I have EVER had a meal so memorable and incredibly delicious. To be honest my words do not do the deliciousness of this meal justice. Simply put...it is oh so good. The short rib is cooked to perfection and is so tender you can eat it with a spoon. The accompanying sides are the perfect compliment. The sauce that’s used...I hope they bottle it because I would buy vats of it! The rice with choclo is sublime. The tres leches rich, creamy and absolutely decadent. The food is amazing. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. The music is fiyah. The location is super convenient—a half a block to the subway and Crosstown bus. What really sets Mission Ceviche apart is the incredible Maitre’d Carlos. He treats all patrons the same...from babies in strollers to celebrities. He is so incredibly kind, humble, gracious, charming, intelligent, professional and inspiring. He is passionate and proud. It is awesome to see him keep the atmosphere ebullient and festive and the food flowing. He manages it all so effortlessly. I think it is because he honestly loves his chosen career and when you’re happy and you know it “work” is pure joy. That joy Carlos gives it to all of the Mission Ceviche patrons. This was not me and my Boyfriend’s first time dining at Mission Ceviche. We are now greeted by our first names when we arrive. Carlos is there and he has the biggest smile and we know that we are in great hands and know we will eat well. Every dining experience at Mission Ceviche is amazing! Go to this restaurant...make the reservation...you will not be disappointed...trust me! Bravo Carlos and the entire Mission Ceviche staff.“

“Great Peruvian restaurant! I've eaten Peruvian food several times, and I appreciate their elevated presentation and flavors. I saw some reviews speak of slow service. I don't know if that occurs during certain times, but I found the service to be excellent. Maybe the management saw the reviews and took action--if so, kudos to a responsive correction! Great food, excellent service, and beautiful atmosphere.“

“I was a bit worried about reviews saying how corporate this place is, but I really enjoyed the food here! The eel pizza and white fish ceviche was really good. The service and atmosphere was great. The only downside is that it's very expensive, so not something to casually do.“

I’ve had the steak with tostones, their chicharrón de pollo & many other delectable dishes. They also have a nice bar & make excellent Pisco sours which I can’t find in too many places! I live in Rockland County & the hubby & I take the trip about monthly just to eat here! Nothing fancy about the restaurant but definitely good eats! Highly recommend! The hubby &!I will definitely be back! 😋😋😋“

“Had a terrific lunch here. Some of the best ceviche I've ever eaten. Entrees were excellent and, according to my husband (who's been to Peru), authentic to the spirit of the country. I also got the arroz chufa with steak. Yum! Ample portions and good value. First meal on this trip to NYC and it'll be hard to beat. HIGHLY recommended.“

“I went to Cebichelsea for lunch and really enjoyed it. The products were very fresh and the flavors were great. The lomo saltado is a great option, full of flavor and well prepared. I also loved the variety of the plates—at the moment I couldn’t eat beef, so I chose chicken instead, and it was delicious.“

“Long time neighborhood favorite for roast chicken served with a tangy garlic sauce. Spacing between tables is generous, staff is nice and helpful, and there's a pleasant track of Peruvian Andes music to set the mood. We chose to share their Peruvian Chicken platter, a $60 combo with a whole grilled chicken that melted off the bone; a large salad with tomatoes, lettuce and avocado; and a large plate of freshly made French fries. It's hard to eat on the UWS for $30 these days, and we had plenty to take home, so we thought it was a great casual meal option. Menu also features ceviche and Latin dishes like beans n'rice and yucca, skirt steak etc. A diverse group of neighbors, some elderly, gal pals, students and couples were obviously enjoying their meals, too.“

“Very cool atmosphere, and nice staff. DJ is also the bartender, and was helpful. A couple times people walked in & seemed to leave bc there was no one behind the bar atm. I stuck around to perform in the open mic, but the DJ'tender said the host hadn't shown up yet. Eventually I left to go to my next performance, but would've stayed if I had time. Will try to go back next trip.“

“Besides it being a tight space, the food and the workers speak for themselves. Lunch special for the chicken with rice or fries or maduros are insanely worth it for the price. At about 16 for Manhattan that's a lot of food actually. If you dine in, you'll have unlimited access to their green sauce. That shit goes on everything... LITERALLY! will always consider this place whenever I don't bring in lunch for work“

“Seating is limited, get there early.
Got the chicken sandwich. Chicken was tender and very good. Wish I'd gotten the spicier sauce; the sweetness of the plantains would have paired excellently with a stronger kick. Also got the squash soup, which was good; but was too full from the sandwich to eat very much. Sandwich is very filling, so keep that in mind when ordering.“
