“Randomly found ourselves in the Barley House while on a weekend get away. The place is beautifully decorated and the design of the bar, lighting, etc was very impressive. We had some house mixed drinks, followed by some cold drafts. The food was served with great timing and was absolutely delicious. The price of wings were a little higher than anywhere else, BUT they were absolutely delicious.“

“I think it’s one of the best bagels in upper Westchester. I grew up in Queens NY and think most bagel shops are terrible but this one gets my business when I’m in the mood. Easy to park and grab breakfast. The service is usually quick even with a long line.“

“I’m afraid to be too honest about how much I loved my first visit to The Tasty Table for fear that the more of us who share the less chance I’ll get a table…but…it’s great!! I can hardly wait to return! Sunday brunch is fantastic! Busy and absolutely worth the wait! I had their delicious shakshuka and an early grey tea while my friend had the hamburger and a cappuccino. We both loved it!!! We ate outside which was lovely, but inside is even more lovely! The design is farmhouse chic meets French patisserie…a great combo!!! And…the staff was kind and generous!! I really look forward to going back!!“

“My boyfriend and I went to this place for dinner. I have to say we had one of the most delicious meals ever. We started with the Tuna Carpaccio and a dozen Oysters on the half shell. The Tuna was beautifully presented and delicious as were the Oysters. We had huge hot popovers served with a honey butter which were mouthwatering. We also tried the Crab Cake which was one of the best I have ever had. The Crab was fresh, and the tarter sauce was very light and didn't over power the Crab, For dinner we decided on the Roasted Chicken with watercress and the Butter Brown Spinach Ravioli. They were both amazing and the presentation was absolutely exquisite down to the garlic shaves on top of the watercress. For dessert my boyfriend had the Chocolate Sorbet and I enjoyed the Toasted Almond Ice cream as well as the fresh baked cookies with milk. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to the meal. The Ice Cream and Sorbet were delicious and the freshly baked warm cookies with milk were scrumptious. Everything was homemade and you can tell how much love goes into the food here. The server we had Mae was friendly, smiling all the time, very attentive and made our time there so nice. A special thank you also to Kerri Casso who is the Service Manager there. I know her from her previous job and Kerri is the reason we tried this place. She checked on us several times and made sure we were happy. Thank you to Mae, Kerri, Sunny and everyone there who made our meal enjoyable. We can't wait to come back!“

“Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. They have been open for two years, but I just found them now. If you haven’t checked them out, you should soon!“

“Emma's continues to be a local treasure! They are consistently the most accommodating restaurant with a genuinely wonderful waitstaff. I never write reviews but after last night I'd feel very remiss. I had a “girls night out” with my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter! Emma's was her personal choice. As a grandmother, nothing could have disappointed but there are very few restaurants in Westchester who take a reservation for 2 on Saturday night and shower you with so much attention. I need to call out our server, Richard D. because he personally attended to the dining comfort of a child on a busy night. Our female busser was also so sweet and friendly. Thank you, Emma's! And then the wait staff consistently demonstrated their light touch at the right moment to meet our needs, answering questions, providing refills and options for consideration. My burger bun was hard as a rock, the bacon was hard and cold, my kids' broccoli was swimming in some weird oil like liquid, inedible, the chicken Mac& Cheese bowl tasted warm and seemed microwabable.....and we literally had to send back the wine carafe, it was BITTER!!! “Thirty (30!) of us came to The Cabin for the very first time for a special midday Sunday private gathering, most from from Manhattan or Brooklyn & other parts of NY, but also from NJ< DC, South Carolina and even New Mexico, completely new to this chosen location, and we were stunned by both the quality and quantity of the servings, especially at such a reasonable price.
Five of of 7 at our table who had salmon were knocked out by the huge, yet still perfectly delicious portions, certainly the largest and tastiest I'd ever seen for, again, what was a very modest price. The rice was also unexpectedly zesty, enhanced by cinnamon (?) or some other wonderful herb or spice that we enjoyed but couldn't exactly identify. String beans were good, and we really were also pleased by the warm, seemingly fresh-baked rolls, the zesty caesar salad and our perfectly fine glasses of wine, both pinot noir & chardonnay.

Overall, a terrifically satisfying dining experience, especially at such a bargain rate.“

“Two door is amazing. They have a really good lunch service weekdays (burgers, grilled sandwiches, fries etc. It's not fancy but just really good honest food cooked to order. Chicken parmigiana on Thursday is a local phenomenon as are the Fish and Chips on Friday night. Both nights sell out fast. This place speaks for itself. There are few places with legitimate original character these days. Frequent them, embrace them and support them in all their rustic glory you'll be richer for the experience!“

“Love this place! This is my go-to spot for lunch with friends and family. I highly recommend the grilled peach ricotta toast, the hot honey chicken sandwich, the everything pigs in a blanket, the crispy brussels sprouts and any of the smoothies. YUM!

“Several years back, we first visited this place in Bloomingdale’s and were not impressed. Recently on the advice of a friend, we tried again and have been back countless times. They upped the ante in their salad bar and the offerings are varied and the breads including the freshly made popovers are great. There is always a chicken and rice as the warm option. But the best value is to order an entree which comes with the salad bar. Then, we fill up on the salad bar and bring the entree home. The sole, the omelets — they’re all good. Salads, too, but you don’t get the salad bar with a salad. The servers are great, too.“
