“I highly recommend visiting this Chinese restaurant. One of my favorite local spots for their delicious food, great portions of food and prices are affordable. I ordered a happy family which came with white rice, shrimp and broccoli that came with egg roll and pork fried rice and general tso with lo mein.

Thank you foo chow, I'll be back!

Parking: Being my first time, parking was limited as I ordered food around 8-8:30 pm. There's plenty of street parking but it's a little tough to find a spot to pull in...

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“One of the more unique place in the Bronx. Its actually a hidden gem and I'm surprised it hasnt gone viral. If youre asian and dont speak spanish here, they're gonna mess with you.

Parking: if youre not local, its best to just uber or take the subway here. Not really worth getting your car messed up or waste time driving around to find parking.

“They have delicious authentic Chinese food! I think here is the only place sells not only American Chinese food but also authentic ones in this area. I always go to Manhattan or Flushing for this 🫠 but they have it! I tried their dry pot and it was delicious! I felt like they tried not to make it too spicy but it was still delicious but I’m sure I can ask them to make it more spicy if I want next time.

“This tiny Chinese takeout joint was pleasantly surprised!! Menu offers fried rice made to orders, i requested no salt or soysauce, the veg fried rice turned out delish!! Even plain fried rice with nothing but oil was yumm! Chefs were hard at work, phone orders were constantly ringing!! Thankful this restaurant takes card payments!! “This is the most horrible restaurant place I've ever ordered from. I ordered and picked up in store. I ordered "Roast Pork with Chinese vegetables" I specifically asked if the vegetables included bok choy and was assured that it did. When I got home with the food the only vegetable included with the Pork was celery. Just a container of pork and celery, another time I ordered BBQ Ribs and it was a very small order and some of them were burned. When I questioned the counter person he answered that they had run out. Then why did they sell, and charge me an order? Don't order food from this place, If you want to enjoy it, it is BAD and they.“

The extra drive is absolutely worth it. Portions are “old school” big, prices run about $2 to $3 less than other places, and they always throw in something extra for free. The egg rolls taste just like the ones you remember as a kid, and the boneless spare ribs were superb (IMO). “Me and the fellas from Cruz Control Auto Body, right around the corner on 49 Fullerton Ave, came here for lunch and we were seriously impressed. The lady taking our order was super friendly, patient, and made sure everything came out just right.

The food came out super fast and was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. I had the chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce and some crispy sesame chicken, and both were spot on perfectly cooked and packed with that authentic taste you want from a good Chinese spot.

“I’ve been going here for 30 years and the owner is such a nice/kind man! Other staff is great too and are always friendly. The food is always great! Chicken wings & fries are always great. The spare ribs and rib tips are always delicious. One of the few places that have ham fried rice, which is yummy as well. They make the best shrimp broccoli I’ve ever tasted. Other places always make the broccoli too hard and barely any sauce but they make it just right. Lo mein is good too!“

“My favorite are the spare rib tips and the sesame chicken. The rib tips have a menthol taste that is hard to describe but it’s exquisite and the sesame chicken is the best in the Bronx. The food is so good I order it every week. I wish the egg rolls were fatter but it’s okay.“

I only ever ordered delivery because my brother is living at a Senior Rehabilitation center on W190 st. I was surprised to find the Chicken and Broccoli not drenched in oil or overcooked! It's not salty or full of MSG like other typical Take outs. Everything I ordered showed a true experienced cook. No lumpy gelatinous "gravy" although I always make it a point to ask for little gravy and they actually followed my request! I don't ever judge a Chinese restaurant by its decor. Some of the BEST ethnic foods I've had, we less than inviting. I get why they do not bother w the "atmosphere" but focused on good food. I get that it would be nice to be able to enjoy going there if you are a long time patron but I used to love a place called Peking Duck in Chinatown until they moved to a new space and changed to an upscale look and soon the food was not at all the same. Perhaps the chef left but I still missed the dishes they used to make to perfection. So don't fix what's not broken. If this is the only Chinese restaurant near you count your lucky stars bc they do authentic Chinese cooking.“
