“It was a surprise to find this little restaurant in Harlem. There were no tables, and we took the last two seats at the bar. While we waited, I surprisingly felt at home. The aroma of the food, the care with which Karina prepared each of the dishes, and the kindness and joy they served us. By the time our table was ready, we didn't want to take it anymore; we ate much more than we planned to order because we didn't want to miss out on their delicious food. I have dietary restrictions, and I was surprised to see that everything from the exquisite tortillas to the delicious tres leches dessert was prepared right there, gluten-free and preservative-free. I hope to return soon.“

“Found this restaurant by accident on Friday and we love it! In fact, we went back Saturday for Churros and Sunday for dinner again. On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! The entire staff from front and back of house are very friendly. So glad we found them and looking forward to going back! We HIGHLY recommend them!“

“I couldn’t get a picture of anyone’s food since we all dug in right away but the food here is amazing! We had their Birria tacos, a steak meal and a steak fajitas meal—chef’s kiss! They were very kind, welcoming and family oriented here. The place is small, I will say, it’s way smaller than I expected but nonetheless, we were quickly seated and the music was good the entire time. This was a memorable experience , thank you!“

“Me and my daughter, enjoyed this restaurant so much during our Mommy and Me weekend! The atmosphere was laid back and quite relaxing. The service was superb and the food was so good, we had to order food to bring home. I would give this establishment 6 stars if I could. “i’m here to tell you the hype is true. The burritos are so freaking good. The sauce is immaculate. I always ask for extra sauce. My favorite is the sausage burrito and the bacon. I usually get both and eat half-and-half and split it with my partner. lol
It’s so good please support local!!!
I usually travel all the way to Brooklyn for a similar type of burrito (santos) and I’m so happy to have found this gem uptown nyc!! (no pic because burrito was inhaled)

“It’s rare that I rate any place a 5. I really wanted a birria pizza for my birthday but they ran out of birria. Destiny went above and beyond to make it up to me. She surprised me with a bunch of other options that were amazing! Surf and turf tacos, and chicken tinga tacos are a 10/10! Very professional, very sweet!“

“Taco Express on Jerome Ave is a solid spot. I really like the food...everything I’ve had has been flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. It’s one of those places that’s easy to go back to when you want something quick and good. Definitely a nice local taco spot worth checking out.“

“Delicious food, good service, and a massive selection of agave-based drinks. Lovely ambiance / decor inside, and the dishes/bowls that they use are also lovely (and for sale, apparently). The place is among the most expensive in the neighborhood by a decent margin, but you certainly do feel like you're having an elevated experience (and the food was surprisingly filling).
We started with the trio of moles which were delicious, though the lightest one they offered did taste surprisingly close to vodka / tomato sauce, they provided tortillas which was nice but not nearly enough (we had to ask for more and then they charged us extra for it, despite not giving us enough the first time). The menu is rather short, so make sure there are things you like before going. The tlayuda with added meat was delicious, as were the tacos (which were $10 each) and the fluke aguachile also good (watermelon in summer is always a welcome treat).“

“Had an amazing GF experience! Service was top notch and so friendly. All the tacos and sides were the kind you never want to end. Even got some in lettuce wraps. Recommend: Everything! Stand out tacos: Mahi-mahi, shrimp, short rib, friend calamari. Sides: street corn, rice & beans, charred broccoli. Dessert: Churros!“

“I went here with my girlfriend. I ordered the Norris plate and she got the carnita quesadillas with a side of rice and beans. I enjoyed my food, and it came out quickly. She also loved her food and she finished all of it. Furthermore, she had the mango and strawberry margarita slush and she liked it; it was a bit strong which was a plus“

“Walked the Tappan Zee Bridge from Rockland to Westchester and made our way to the Taco Project for awesome Chicken Tacos and some Mango Margaritas! After all we earned it! 😉 Will definitely be back again and will recommend to all my friends!“

“IT WAS HORRIBLE. AS A MEXICAN I DO NOT APPROVE, THIS PLACE HAD BAD BAD FOOD, FIRST OF ALL THEY SERVED ME AN ORANGE WITH TACOS, WHO DOES THAT? WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND GIVE ORANGES WITH TACOS, NUH UH. “My friend nd I wanted Birria tacos so we found this restaurant off of TikTok. I stood in the car while he got the food but when he came back with the food he had a huge smile on his face. He said the costumer service was amazing and the lady that served him (I’m not sure of her name but she was an older lady) was very nice to him. She even gave us an extra free water. Not to mention the birria tacos were unbelievably delicious!! It was packed with the birria meat and the consume to go with it was so yummy. Amazing food and 10/10 experience.“

“Decades ago I used to frequent a bar in the Village called Burrito Loco. We always had the same server/bartender. I went there A LOT. Fast forward to about 10 years ago. I was living in Pal Park and I had a craving for Mexican food. I saw this place in Fort Lee and I decided to go there to eat. It's a moderately sized place with nice decorations. Festive, clean and well lit. I'm not sure what I ordered (probably enchiladas or a shrimp dish) but I do remember it being pretty good. During this visit our waiter (the owner) said to me "you used to go to Burrito Loco right? I remember you". What?! I could not believe it! It had been over 2 decades since I had been there! I guess I left a lasting impression back then and hadn't aged much (yellow don't mellow lol). To this day I am still shocked! Anyway, while living in Pal Park I ordered from here once in a while. Delivery always took forever! Currently I live back in my hometown of Englewood. There are a few great authentic Mexican places nearby (no, not Blue Moon. It's not "authentic", it's Tex-mex......I worked there for 4 years a long time ago). I was in the mood for a different Mexican place so I decided to order from here through GrubHub. The food came earlier than estimated and was still nice and hot. Portions were great, order was packed well, and they sent free chips and salsa (I hate when places don't send chips and salsa or bread for free when it's free when you dine in). Everything was very good, but fell short on a couple of things......the shredded beef in the tacos was surprisingly bland. I felt horrible for my man because it was the only thing he had (he doesn't eat rice & beans). My burrito Poblano was awesome BUT not nearly enough of that delicious mole sauce. They need to put some of that sauce inside the burrito too. Overall I will definitely order from here again. Maybe I'll even stop in to say hi to Arturo!“

“Honestly, I never write reviews but tonight we dined here for the second time and I had to. The food is fantastic, genuinely find my eyes rolling into the back of my head after every bite. The guacamole is outstanding and the chips and salsa are unparalleled— I mean HOT and fresh chips?! Get outtttt. The margs are great and the staff is so friendly and lovely all around. Will 100% be coming back to try everything. If you’re considering going, DO IT! 10/10“
