“Pappa Gallo in Rockville Centre is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and professionalism. The food? Absolutely delectable – each dish bursting with flavor and freshness. But what truly sets this place apart is their extensive drink menu and the phenomenal bartender who crafts each cocktail with precision and flair. The service? Impeccable. They've nailed consistency to a tee, making each visit just as delightful as the last. Without a doubt, Pappa Gallo is a must-visit spot in Rockville Centre for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience.“
“What a great hidden gem! The food is great and extremely fresh seafood! The ceviche mixto was flavorful and great portion to share. The highlight of the meal was the dessert, homemade ice cream that was creamy and unique! Will definitely go back!!“
“When I found out this family business is co-owned by a fellow Queens College Alum, I had to come!!! It's so inviting and the hostess (sister) was more than accommodating. We were seated quickly and we were able to see the menu both print and via QR Code. We (my husband and I) loved the drink we had as well as the Aji Galina and Arroz Chaufa con Pollo. Extra sauces and a small corn based appetizer was given right away as well. I also appreciated the clean bathroom, which has a urinal and normal toilet, also ADA/wheelchair friendly. The music was excellent too. The fact that this is also family friendly is the ultimate selling point. There's something on the menu for everyone. I will definitely come back with my in laws! This is the freshest, best Peruvian in NYS!!! I WISH YOU ALL THE SUCCESS AND DECADES IN BUSINESS!“
“Absolutely the BEST PERUVIAN RESTAURANT IN LONG ISLAND. My favorite place to go when I want some homemade flavor dishes. I wish you could be close to me instead 1-hour drive. I love everything, food, service, and atmosphere. Thanks guys for the attention!“
“Came here to eat with the family and we had an awesome experience. The service was amazing! I didn’t get her name but our server was very attentive and hilarious. We all ordered a variety of food like arroz chaufa, salchipapa, jalea mixto and we were 100% satisfied. Definitely worth going back to !“
“Absolutely delicious and stunning restaurant! Some of the best drinks I’ve had so far and I love that they all give you a taste of Peru with authentic and unique Peruvian fruits and flavors. I had the ceviche de pescado, chaufa de mariscos and arroz con mariscos. Super fresh and flavorful. The drinks and food complemented well and the dessert was the cherry on the cake! Definitely recommend as a must try if you’re in the area. Worth your time and money.“
“Amazing food :) some of the best, if not the best, Peruvian food in nyc ❤️ tastes like some of the good stuff you can find in Lima. The wait staff is so friendly and lovely. I took my friend here for the first time and he fell in love with the cuisine. You won’t be disappointed if you come here :)))) xo “
“Staff is very friendly and efficient, rice and beans / plantains are really good! The buffalo chicken empanadas are my favorite.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan desserts, empanadas and salad!Parking: Small parking lot, street parking just past the street light“
“Gone here about more than a handful of times, love it each time. Food feels fresh and at great quality, never regret eating anything here especially if it has steak in it. Always recommend my friends and family to come here. I truly appreciate the variety of dishes they have on the menu. Favorite restaurant!“
“Wow, I enjoyed this menu. Great Latin dishes like classic carne asada, ceviche, empanadas, cheese bread, arroz con camarones, lots of seafood, yummy yucca fries, a variety of home made fish stews and soups. Daily lunch specials make this place a great value. Table service or bar seating available. Every server was friendly and hospitable. Totally will return, especially for the lomo saltado de carne y pollo. And the tres leches dessert!“
“Top notch establishment. Don’t be disheartened by the humble interior this food SLAPS. As a world traveler and expert in Peruvian cuisine, this is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in all of Nassau and Suffolk county. It is comprobable to the food offered by popular city spot Pio Pio. Make sure you get some chicken and salchipapa. Not a meat person? Try some tallardin verdes (green spaghetti ?) or papa a la huancaina (spicy ). Highly recommend, can’t wait for my next trip ???.“
“Food was excellent as well as service. Bother in law that who is a chef also agreed .The problem I have is they have a policy on weekends to add 18 percent tip to bill. I do not mind that but it not clear when I was given check .I saw a total for food and tax tip was not included. When in got my statement form AmEx I noticed the discrepancy. I then called manager and he said i in fact tipped twice as he then said something about a red flag that is on check that indicates a tip will be included . Very confusing so be careful when receive you check as waitress does not inform you either. I believe it has been noted in other reviewsParking: Lot is next to restaurant“
“Ordered take out for a family night in. Called in a pretty big order for 6 peopleEverything was ready in a timely manner and packaged nicely for take out.The ceviche was to die for ! The arroz chaufa was the same delicious flavor I remember from my childhood.“
“Best Peruvian food in Long Island!! When craving peruvian food i don’t mind taking 45min ride just to get there, because is worth it! Its so hard to find the exact essence of peruvian cuisine and this restaurant knows how to do it. Meet this place back on 2020 and every time I go they exceed my expectations, polite, friendly and respectful. Food is the best!! Cabrito & anticuchos con rachi my favorite!!“
“Delicious Peruvian Chinese fusion plus some typical Peruvian dishes. We stopped in on for lunch, and figured we'd try one of each. The fried wontons (wonton frito), were crispy and the spiced meat filling was unique and delicious, as was the sweet dipping sauce. The lomo saltado entree was luscious, tender beef, tomato and red onion flavored with cilantro (which I don't always love) in brown gravy over French fries and with white rice too. My husband soaked up every bit of leftover gravy with his rice. The owners are friendly, but speak mostly Spanish, so be prepared to point if you don't speak any. They were kind enough to gently correct my very rusty Espanol. The place is bright and clean, including the restroom. We'll be back.“
“Great service! We enjoyed our dinner. It was my first time having beef heart and it was quite delicious. The chicken -pollo a la brasa is always amazing and so well seasoned. The skirt steak was good but I felt the portion of the steak could've been a tad bigger. The taxi tacu rice was yummy! Overall it was a satisfying dinner. We had their ice cream and it was unique flavors...I would recommend that you try it.“
“The Portobello Saltado was excellent. So was the Margarita. The waiter was great. A few issues. The Portobello Saltado is on their online menu. It’s not on their restaurant menu. I was told sometimes they don’t have portobellos. Ordered the avocado salad. They don’t have avocados. Ordered two mojitos. Out of mint.Vegetarian options: Portobello Saltado was excellent.“
“For a quick meal to feed your hungry family La Cabana Peruana doesn't disappoint; they have delicious rotisserie chicken options to take home you your hungry family. If you decide to eat in the restaurant you will be welcomed with great hospitality and amazing food from Peru.“
“Review is for take out order. The food was made in a timely manner. I ordered through Yelp and it was easy and successful. The restaurant got the order right. The food was so tasty. The chicken was delicious. The sides were good too. Would order again.“
“My wife and I been eating here for many years, we eat here 5 to 8 times a month. For the most part the food is very good, but I'm not going to lie, every once awhile we get a bad meal, however the service is great.Parking: Always street parking“
“I'm shocked this restaurant doesn't have more reviews! This is truly an authentic and underrated Peruvian spot on Long Island. This location was formerly known as The Inkan Restaurant & Pisco Bar, but it had closed some time in 2021. Latino Café & Bar replaced this location afterwards (different owners). They have Peruvian fare as well as some Latin American dishes. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally decided to order lunch from here today. For lunch, I ordered the Lomo Saltado and a Chicken Empanada on DoorDash. The food was piping hot when it arrived and tasted so fresh! The steak was nice and tender. All of the food was seasoned very well. I also loved the spicy green sauce that came with my empanada. The food was very reasonably priced as well. I'll definitely be giving more dishes a try from this place. I highly suggest you do the same :) *Note* This restaurant makes delivery orders only on DoorDash and Uber Eats. They do not make orders on GrubHub! My order on GrubHub had unexpectedly been cancelled, but when I called the restaurant, woman on the phone told me they don't offer GrubHub.“
“(Translated by Google) Very good service. The popusas are delicious and only $ 2 !!The client cervical is very good here. The manager who took good care of me.(Original)Muy buen servicio. Las popusas son ricas y solamente a $2!!El cervical al cliente es muy bueno aquí. El manager que me atendió muy bien.“
“Truly a very good experience with this place, of which I have been a customer for more than 10 years, very varied food, with very good service, very reasonable prices, and very well served and served as every Peruvian likes. I give it and love it. I will always give 5 Stars to this place especially for that grilled chicken that resembles and is so similar to the chicken that one can only find in some neighborhood or on one of the streets of Lima“
“I cant say enough nice things about this place. First of all...they have GREAT burgers! They are fresh, grilled on fire and the brioche buns are delicious. Everything that I and my family have ordered from there has been absolutely GREAT! The place is spotless clean, the owners and staff are wonderful and the prices are fair. This is one of my favorite places in the area!!! Try it tonight!“
“The BEST rotisserie chicken in Elmont! Even my vegetarian family members rave about the smell alone in the car when we get takeout rotisserie chicken and say it's the only time they've considered eating meat again. It is well seasoned and though it's getting pricey, the chicken is consistently good. The place is small but clean and the staff aren't necessarily chatty but not rude. I always miss this chicken when away from Elmont. Haven't ventured into the rest of the menu, but the chicken with rice and beans is my go-to.“
“Being a peruvian giving four stars is a huge deal for me. Especially considering I love cooking peruvian myself. I'd recommend their Lomo saltado a Peruvian must and their Arroz chaufa. Definitely get one of the Bundles if you're coming with a large party. Their aji is a bit lacking and they've raised their prices quite a bit over the years which is understandable but at the same time their service should reflect it to an extent. I work in the service industry and would expect better service basics. IE. More menu knowledge and friendlier service as well as water refills. With that being said I'd still recommend and enjoyed it having ordered out and dined in dozens of times.Vegetarian options: Salads your usual.Parking: It's right on queens blvd so parking is trickyKid-friendliness: Defintely kid friendly fries chicken not too complex“
“Only doing takeout now because of COVID. I always order the jalea but I prefer to eat that in the restaurant since it gets a bit soggy in the takeout box unfortunately. Otherwise their rotisserie chickens are pretty good but a bit dry, which is why i love dipping it in their sauce. But when i asked for extra sauce ... they're charging $7/$10 for a small/medium container of it? Really? Still overall it's pretty good here.“
