“We’ve been eating at IL FARO for years, and have always loved the food and the people. We go there knowing that we will be greeted at the door by people who know us. But now that they’ve refreshed their menu, we love it even more. They offer the most and best vegan options of any restaurant in the area. The best thing is that a portion of the menu changes weekly. The food always tastes great. There’s always something new to try. Plus, you can add meat or fish to all vegan options if that’s your thing.“

“Lucky ? to have stopped at The Bunker during our stay in Greenbush. We sat at the bar and our server Lauren was so attentive, friendly and made a delicious dirty martini. The food was excellent! We ordered the salmon tacos and Philly cheesesteak, both scrumptious! Actually, I order fish tacos quite often and these were the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely stop in again when traveling through the are.“

“I live in NYC was in Albany for work. The Yard was recommended by a friend. The atmosphere was great. The bar was beautiful. There is a spot where you throw axe. The experience was new but quite relaxed and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend“

“A southern brunch that was so good. 4 of us went to celebrate a birthday and we all enjoyed it immensely. I had the Dad and it was absolutely delicious. We loved the fried green tomatoes, and the tater tots. I had a bourbon bacon bloody Mary that was out of this world. I can't wait to go back!Parking: Street parking was available and they have a lot behind the building.“

“Look, for a craft beer bar in Albany, it just doesn't get better than this place. The curated draft list is amazing, specially the nod towards old money flavors. One lukr and two machines are also a great addition to the place. The place itself is small, but spaced out well. Want good beer, and sandwiches, come here, seriously.“

“My friend and I were grateful that the table requested (booth) was provided. We both had the grilled cheese (we both asked and received the alteration of Swiss cheese only) and the tomato bisque soup. Delicious! Server was appropriately attentive and efficient, and professional.“

“Chicken Wings. Hands down, the best around. I used to go to The Ruck, but last time the wings looked like they were from week-old chicks. Never seen wings so tiny. I've gone to the Ale House ever since...as a lone patron, never felt weird. I recommend the Hefeweizen to pair.“

“We had our engagement party here. We were lucky to be able to reserve the River Bar. Jared did an amazing job helping us plan the event. He suggested a date where live music was playing which made our party even better. He worked with us to create a food menu and gave us awesome feedback on how much to order based upon our party size. The rest of the staff that served our party was wonderful. The drinks and food were delicious. The staff made sure the food was staying hot throughout the party and they even helped us box up all of our gifts at the end of the night. They did everything to make sure we had a memorable night. To top it all off, it's nice to have a place to go in Troy, New York that supports your local law enforcement and first responders. If you are thinking of having a private party this is a great option!“

“Love this quirky yet cozy and super-cool spot. A great thing about Troy is the old buildings there have cool nook-like spaces such as this. The wood fired wings were really good - not straight down the middle typical Buffalo wings, but very good (with top notch bleu cheese.). “Medium” had just the right amount of heat for us. Pizza was very good too. Look forward to going back. Recommend.“

“This restaurant is definitely a place to check out while you’re in Troy. Very unique dishes catered to everyone depending on what you’re craving. Salads, burgers, pasta , vegan dishes . And they even have a pool table if you’re trying to play a few rounds before hitting the bars around town afterwords. This is a nice place to bring friends with you.“

“We have brunch at the city beer hall, pretty much every week. I am famous for having the same meal every time. The steak and eggs. The steak is always cooked perfectly medium rare. The eggs are sunny side up and delicious. Home fries and a side salad round out the perfect breakfast. My partner also always orders the same meal. Fried chicken with macaroni and cheese. When we go for dinner If you are a French onion soup fan I have a huge suggestion. The French onion soup is what I call a "destination dish " It is a delicious change from the norm. The service is always fast and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable. We have been customers here since the first week and will continue to be. The bar area, the dining room with its communal tables, the patio in the summer time. This has been our go to place for the past 13 years. Keep up the great work, the food, the hospitality, the overall experience is what a beer hall should be.“

“Mouth-watering and thoughtful menu with creative, nuanced and seasonal inspirations for both food and beverage options. I was very impressed by the shishito peppers, general tso’s chicken bites, french dip and the espresso martini. The apps were perfectly battered, crispy and flavorful. The French dip just hit so right- tender meat, savory au jus, warm, perfectly toasted bread. The fries were perfect- exactly what you’d imagine if you are craving fries! And the highlight of our entire night was our bartender Halsey. Her genuine care in curating our experience cannot be matched. She made great suggestions, interjected with playful humor, read when our group wanted time to chat amongst ourselves, and made a PHENOMENAL cocktail. I mean, the most serious espresso martini anyone could hope for without the overstated hipster flair. 10/10. Would go back just for her. Watching her interact with her other bar guests was also a treat- it’s easy to see how she can command the room & keeps a mighty fine bar! Will certainly be back!“

“Pint Sized in Albany gives off such a hipster vibe, and I absolutely love it! The beer selection is fantastic, and the customer service is top-notch. Overall, it was a great experience!Located conveniently in the heart of Albany's Center Square neighborhood, this is the first Pint Sized location. Whether you live nearby or are just visiting, it's the perfect spot to grab a growler or mix-four pack and enjoy your favorite craft brews on the stoop or at the bar in their historic space. The patio seating offers a charming ambiance, allowing you to soak in the lively atmosphere of the "Greenwich Village" of the Capital Region. Some favorite activities in the area include enjoying Washington Park (with a beer, of course), grabbing a latte from Stacks, attending free concert series like LarkFest, Art on Lark, Tulip Festival, and Alive at Five, indulging in smash burgers from Herbies, and exploring the Empire State Plaza. Don't forget to check out their Untappd for real-time updates on the draft list and weekly updates on the can selection. Cheers to a fantastic spot in Albany!“

“Really good food and it's got cool decor. The cocktails and desserts are delicious but on the small side. The guacamole with chips was really expensive. $17 for a bowl of the version with pineapple and bacon, which was more than my main course. Loved the fries they have as an appetizer. Birria tacos are amazing and the staff is great. The first time I went there was a nice ambience with some music playing at a normal volume. Went on a Tuesday evening next and there was a live DJ playing very loud dance music. That didn't seem to fit the vibe and it was difficult to have conversations.“

“This place has great atmosphere, drinks, and service. What more can you expect from a distillery/cocktail bar? It’s nice to have a cocktail focused place, with bartenders that know how to make them. They can also make mocktails and have wine and beer available. You can also tell them what kinds of things you like, and they will make you something good.“

“My bartender had the widest selection of gin I've ever heard of. So I decided to go back to my basic Gin Martini. He recommended the Brooklyn Gin since I'm all about my local distillers... He also recommended that I try blue cheese olives instead of plain olives and orange bitters instead of my go-to Angostura bitters. The Brooklyn Gin has a distinct smooth flavor, unlike anything I've ever had before. I was thinking this would be my nightcap, but am now feeling refreshed... ????Kudos to Brooklyn Gin and to my knowledgeable bartender, Braden! ??“

“We have come here to meet friend s for dinner on several occasions. It's a bar first, restaurant second. Pretty steady regular crowd on weekends...food is what you'd expect. Perfectly fine..nothing outstanding but nothing bad either. Prices are also average- portions are on par with it. Full bar, variety of beers, service is always very pleasant and timely. Place is a little "tired" looking- but always clean!! Can be loud at peak times...hard for anyone with hearing issues.“

“Absolutely phenomenal place!! For years n years growing up in the Capital District I thought I found all the "hidden gems" on places you would not know about - where the food is outstanding; well a friend of mine introduced thos place to me and 5*'s across the board! Seriously, great prices, very tasty food (huge portions) and the service top notch! Reminds me of being a child going to some old school eatery my mom would take me to! Can't wait to go back!Vegetarian options: There is Definitely vegetarian options. How do I know? Because I'm one myself. The eggplant Parm is beyond good! See pic that I included“
“We spent three glorious days at June Farms. We occupied a Wellness Hut, which was absolutely exquisite in design, comfort, and beautiful privacy amongst the rolling hills and trees. It was much larger than we ever expected with at least 16ft. ceilings. We cooked each meal ourselves, took luxurious saunas, and enjoyed the perfect tub and open shower with amazing views of the snow kissed trees. I can go on further, but I will stop here to leave room for the amazing staff who were all absolutely lovely to us and obviously very very good at what they do. Sarah was outstanding, and knowledgeable and brought us so close to the cows and horses, and I will not soon forget her kindness. Also thanks to Joe who guided us on our sheep walk with a smile, and welcoming demeanor on our first day. Thank you to Michele, our Concierge, and Joshua. Great People. Magnificently clean, happy animals. It feels like a dream, we are blessed to have experienced together. We will be back.“
“I ordered garlic, Parmesan wings from Dutch's Place for lunch today. The wings were even more tender than any other place I have tasted them. And the garlic and Parmesan permeated the wings as well. The only thing missing was the blue cheese sauce. I called Dutch's and they said that I didn't have it listed on my order. I then checked my phone, saw that it was indeed on my order and called GrubHub to confirm it, indeed it was on the order they had. It would've been an extra boost to the wings, which needed no additional support, but would've kicked things up a lot . GrubHub gave me $3.24 off of the bill because of this which was pretty nice. Minus that though, everything was pretty good.“
“Nice staff, decent food, great time... my son's band played here, so check them out for live shows! Parking sucks, not the fault of the bar... it's just a Troy fact... also check out @flatwoundsny the band (shameless plug) thanks Eldorado for a great night!“

“We stopped at this restaurant before a show. Everything was perfect. Excellent beers, very good mac and cheese and great service. We liked the atmosphere. If I come back to Albany, I will go back, all the plates I saw seemed delicious. We had a great time!“
“Place was dead when it first opened at 12 on a Saturday, but I can imagine that it gets quite lively later in the day/night. There was a good variety of beers. Personally, I'm a sour girlie and appreciate any Gose or Sour beer that I can find so I was pleasantly surprised that there were actually 2 on the menu for me to try. Friendly staff, too, and some entertainment on the TV. You can bring your own food. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but maybe there's some spot nearby we didn't know of that would have been better than street parking“

“The Daisy is a cute chic taco and margarita place. The tacos are fusion, they have a bulgogi one with kimchi and a fried chicken and a coconut shrimp one plus others. Not authentic Mexican tacos but stills delicious. Classy place. The margaritas are strong! I saw a sign for buy one get one margaritas on Wednesdays. They have a decent amount of tables even though it’s a small place, there is a back room with more tables. The servers were attentive and friendly. The coconut margarita was creamy and I liked the coconut shreds on the rim. Margaritas and tacos are all around $13. Tacos come with 2. Bill can definitely add up but it’s worth it. Great environment to catch up with friends. The chip appetizer with pico de gallo was delicious. The chips had a great crisp, they tasted deep fried. Perfectly salted. I liked my coconut shrimp tacos the best. 2 big meaty shrimp in each taco, crunchy and cooked well and the pineapple in it gave it a nice sweetness. The fried chicken tacos were a mix of dark and light meat chunks, which were very tender and soft. Though a bit too soft for my likening of chicken texture. And the sauce has a very strong cilantro flavor. If I’m in the area again I would love to come back and try other tacos and margarita flavors!“
“I absolutely love both hosting and attending events at the fuzebox! The staff and owners are friendly and easy to work with. The vibes are good, it’s been cleaned up so much under the new ownership. What once was a less enthralling place to get ready for a show there is actually now a small and really decent dressing room as far as dressing rooms go (if you know, you know) all around it’s a pleasant atmosphere & a local staple for punk and hardcore shows, and I am looking forward to bringing more burlesque to the fuzebox! (Bathroom and dressing room selfies attached for perspective)“

“Food was excellent, not over the top, steak was great, but not the best I have had there. Lobster toast was good, the calamari was in my opinion cooked a little long. My steak was fine, my wife's lamb was undercooked, for her asking for medium well ... was still bloody ... but still good. We will go back, it wasn't bad, just wasn't what we have had here before“

“Ended up going there tonight with 2 co workers of mine and it was a great place. Very laid back atmosphere and not noisy at all where we could actually have a conversation and not have to yell to hear each other. I ended up getting a bowl of the chili, which was amazing. Had the perfect amount of meat and beans in it. And I also had an order of fried mushrooms that were also amazing. Alot of places when you order fried mushrooms the breading just falls right off and mushrooms are mushy, but these were nice and crispy and batter tasted great. The bartender Brittany did and amazing job as well. She was really quick and was always there to make sure are drinks for good and also had great conversations with her. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice bar with great food.“

“Last Saturday night was so much fun! We came in for a comedy show, and decided to come a little early for apps and drinks. “Great little pub!! My favorite place to go before a concert or event in Albany! Love the atmosphere, and being able to hang outside when it's nice out. Across the street from The Palace, and just a short walk from Empire Live! Love the owner Tess, she always makes us feel welcome!“
“We were out on a road trip and decided to crash the local pub after dinner for cocktails and karaoke. Reget going to dinner beforehand. The food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. Drinks were good and reasonable priced. The locals took us in and we had a great time. 5 stars for Songbird Karaoke.“

“This is a cute, friendly neighborhood pub with a nice menu. Emily, the waitresses is a sweetheart. The food is good. The meatloaf is delicious and the definition of comfort food. They have daily specials that they post on Facebook dailly. They always have great cakes too. It doesn't look like anything from outside, so don't let that keep you back. We hesitated going in the first time, because it's not inviting from the outside. It's completely different inside, it's warm and friendly.“

“Voted best dive bar in Albany. They are proud of that title and their Irish heritage! Light atmosphere. Everyone seems happy. No drama. We had some cold beers and a basket of cooked to perfection fried foods which included mozz sticks, onion rings, fries, and chicken tenders. Enough to share with many. Great jukebox too. A good time was had by all in this little neighborhood bar. Cheers!“

“Great spot, good drinks for decent price! Bartender was a sweetheart. We also did karaoke for $100/hr which seemed a little steep since it was only 5 of us, but it was one of our birthdays so we did it. But still seemed a little high in price. But overall, we had a good time, really cool spot, great decor and overall very friendly staff!“
“I was surprised at how expensive it was. It is a very nice place. The food was excellent and service good. And the ambiance is unique and interesting. However, the prices were unreasonable high, for my taste. For example, one of us had a hamburger - $18 and a draft beer $9.“

“Nice place to hang out and enjoy time with friends while having a drink. Bartenders are great at making drinks with the exception of ordering wine. The price paid versus how little wine you get is bad. The prices are normal to high depending on what your drinking. The layout is definitely different then your average place. Could stand to be a tad bigger to create that roominess. Otherwise a great place.“
“We came here for drinks after dinner downstairs at Emry's Garden. They do not take reservations but there was plenty of space indoors. The vibes resemble a den/ men's cave. Lots of paintings, mirrors, red velvet, arm chairs. The drinks menu is limited but the bartender can make anything. We got a variety of drinks, they were all good. The music isn't as loud, which makes for a nice evening if you want good conversation.“
