You can always count on friendly faces and cold drinks but definitely be prepared to bump some elbows when it gets busy because it gets tight! Plenty of parking both in the from and back of the bar.“

Parking: At busy times it is a bit difficult to find parking in the front but there is enough space in the back.“

My main complaint then seemed to be lack of staff relative to the amount of customers. tonight we had the SAME waiter as last time, and the service was very good. There was definitely more help in the dining room and even though the crowd was larger today service was very good. Helpful and you could always get someone to refill water, or if you had a question. Food quality and presentation has always been very good, so, given the better service, I was pleasantly pleased.“

“Came to JP’s on a whim. Had just moved here to a Oceanside from Miami a few days ago. The place was kind of empty but we were pleasantly greeted by Chris who gave us great service and was quite funny. A great bartender for sure, I would come back here just for him. The drinks are very well priced compared to home. Overall a great little local spot. Thank you Chris!“

And since they bought DiMaggios next door the food has taken a step up from their normally great food and specials. The place looks really nice, too! “First time here and I can't wait to go back. We sat outdoors and admired the picturesque surroundings. It was pretty busy for lunchtime on a Thursday. My friend ordered the poke salad and I ordered the tuna tacos, which were very delicious and just the right amount. Service was quick and friendly. I was able to get a parking spot in the small lot and my friend parked in the small lot across the street -- someone sitting outside the lot tells you where to park. All in all, I am very impressed with this restaurant. The prices might be on the high side, but you can order the reasonably priced dishes like we did and be extremely satisfied.
