“I recently visited this restaurant, and wow—just wow! The tacos were absolutely incredible. The tortillas were fresh and warm, the meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the toppings were so flavorful. Every bite was a burst of authentic food. It was so deliciousness! The service was fantastic. Quick and attentive. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re craving real-deal tacos, this is the place to go. “Completely surprised and intrigued with the menu. This is NOT a Mexican food restaurant as the name might fool you. The shrimp taco wrapped in seaweed paper was so fresh tasting,crunchy and absolutely delish. Fried rice served in your own skillet and you mix the egg in was the best! The smores waffle with homemade custard ice-cream was to die for. Bartender Robbie is a pro mixologist with really new style drinks. This place was a treat and I cant wait to go back. Also the service was perfect!“

We had the seafood soup, the virgin tacos( a true hit) the burritos( tortillas de harina) the fish filete came w rice and black beans and salad natural juices and all was simply great. “Best tacos ever . I’ve been a client since the Sombrero truck on Market St in between Checkers and post office . Then they moved to union blvd . I’ve taken my immediate family ,taken friends , when my outer states visitors come is the first place they get taken to also!! Really everything is made fresh and there’s not one dish I can pick over another !! Can’t wait to get back from Puerto Rico to get some real tacos !!! Pa alante !!!“

The food was fantastic as always, our server, Rafael treated us like royalty, the margaritas with sugar rims were fabulous (added plus we arrived for happy hour), and the entertainment was so much fun! “All I have to say is wow!! I can’t remember the last time I had such good tacos in the area! I truly devoured my chicken and carnitas tacos. Very authentic and maybe the chef during the day is extra good too because I definitely didn’t think it was as good almost 1.5 years ago in the evening when I tried. I have spent a good amount of time in Union City so I know good Mexican food when I see it. This is easily going to be a weekly staple for me going forward. Definitely take the time to sit in and eat!“

“Just came here for the first time. Ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and Guac and Chips $35 total. The Burrito was spectacular and so were the guac and chips! The atmosphere was very authentic. I felt like I was in a Mexican colmadon (deli). I loved the vibe. I walked from home. So this will be a local favorite of mine. Thank you.“

“I can't say enough great things about Defiant! Last week we hosted a small wedding reception and it was perfect. We were able to do anything we wanted with the space we had (we didn't rent the entire place, just a few tables). The food was great, as usual! The beers and other drinks were great and the price was so reasonable! We were able to use all the games at the brewery, and we were even able to play Terminator 2 on the projector which was a major bonus. The staff was truly wonderful which made everything even better. The owner, the cook, and the bartender were all so friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have a casual, and intimate wedding. Thank you guys SO much!“
