We eat it straight out of the container. The egg sandwiches have been our favorite for years - ham, egg & mozzarella and eggplant, egg & mozzarella. There is no where else like Foods of Italia. The sandwich was excellent; fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I rate the sandwich as a 9/10. My coworker ordered ham and eggs (with extra ham) on a roll for $11. The extra ham serving was plentiful. “We've (Wantagh Senior Center) been fortunate enough to find this gem of a deli.We order egg sandwiches for our brunches. It's not easy to please 25-30 seniors at one time with an order. But, they've managed to do it. They all arrive hot and delicious. We've also ordered complete turkey dinners for about 25 of our seniors. They were spectacular! Turkey, potatoes, fresh crispy veggies, stuffing and gravy. Everything was hot and so very tasty. Can't wait until our next function so we can again enjoy their wonderful food and service.All of the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. It's hard to find all this in one shop.“

“Best place around!!When I first walked in, I first realized the cleanliness. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. The food was DELICIOUS!! Best BEC I’ve had. There was a good amount of bacon, and you can tell it’s good quality meat. I got my BEC on a fresh bagel! I also got a corn muffin toasted with butter. OMG!! The muffin was so good, and it’s made in-house! I was more than satisfied. I also like how the coffee pot wasn’t behind the counter. There's a station with fresh coffee, tea bags, and hot chocolate where you can make the beverage to your liking. “This is a takeout restaurant, but you can sit inside if necessary. I ordered the Poisson Frit, Peas & Rice, Plantain and was very happy with the food & service. The food was ready in good time and well made. The Poisson Frites was crispy, well seasoned, and fresh - cooked perfect. The rice and plantain were delicious and not too oily. The service was pleasant and they give you a nice portion for the price. Would recommend and will be eating here again.“
