“This is your usual mom and pop shop that makes delicious food. Never too salty or too bland, portions are as expected, and pricing is good. I prefer the short 5-6 min drive to here vs. the 3-4 min walk to the spot closer to home because of the taste and quality. I'm actually eating chicken when I order my usual compared to Taste of China on Main St. Def recommend for a quick, affordable, and good meal.“

You can’t go wrong with their chicken lo mein or chicken fried rice either. My son loves their dumplings and I love the shrimp shumai. “Overall, Haiku is pretty good, they are consistent and I like them. To my understanding, there are 3 locations around me including the White Plains, Scarsdale and Bronxville locations. I have found that the Bronxville location ONLY charges me for a lesser substititution. I ordered a sushi roll and opted out of TUNA for a substitution that is cheaper in price, and I was charged a fee, again, only at this location, as I have done this at the White Plains/Scarsdale locations and no additional fee was charged. I cannot see why I was charged a fee, like I said, the replacement that I opted for is lesser in price than tuna and I believe the sushi is made fresh everytime, so I would say it was an INCONVENIENCE fee, but in this instance, I don't know if that can be applied, but who knows. Again, only at this location. Just a heads up for fellow customers.“

“I am a famously fussy eater and vegetarian, so most of the time if my loved ones are getting sushi I either don’t eat at the restaurant or get a small side dish that I can have. At Hajime they had so many options that I could choose from I was very surprised.
I really wanted the fried noodles but it came with chicken and vegetables, but our very friendly waiter said without the chicken was really no problem. I also let him know that I can’t have any spice and he reassured me when I ordered and again when it arrived that there was no spice and he even waited for me to take a mouthful of a food to ensure it was okay for me. I’ve never felt so cared about in a restaurant before and I was so grateful to him for caring about a seemingly fussy girl.

We genuinely had the best time here for my fiancés birthday, and after our entrees they brought us a huge plate of different sorbets with a candle in. We had no idea they were doing this and it was such a thoughtful touch.
I very much got the vibe of a family business that has been around a while, quietly serving the most delicious food. Truly a hidden gem! We have agreed that we will go out of our way to travel the half an hour it takes to get here just for this place. The atmosphere and hospitality is unmatched. Thank you so much!“

next: the staff. the people here are courteous, kind, funny, and personable. They are there at a moments notice to provide you with what you need, whether that’s a fork because you’re terrible with chopsticks, or extra spicy mayo.
and last: the aesthetic. this place is beautifully decorated and curated for the perfect experience. It is gorgeous with its decorations, the way the space is utilized, and its ambiance.

We were disappointed to learn that the omakase option on the menu was not available even with planning ahead.“

Water Moon is such a cozy little gem. The vibe is super relaxing, and the dumplings? Unreal. So flavorful and perfectly made, we couldn’t stop talking about them. Our server, Anna, was the sweetest and made everything feel extra special. Sad they’re closed for remodeling, but I’m already excited for their return. Definitely a favorite! Perfect for a business meeting, a friends/family get together, or even to sit down and do some studying and enjoy lunch!“

“Hands down the best Chinese takeout I’ve ever found in Westchester. Spare ribs are always perfect and not fatty and shrimp dishes have extra jumbo shrimp. The egg drop soup is not overly salty and has the best texture and flavor I’ve ever had.“
