Let me set the scene for ya'll... 35 of my closest friends, Game of Thrones themed decor & fits, cocktails that made everyone say "I drink and I know things" and the most fire food in the neighborhood... the party was a SLAY. Tali, the company's event coordinator, is the sweetest, most hard-working, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to your event. She even went above and beyond to surprise me with a GOT themed menu by naming my cocktails after details of life. For example, she named the spicy margarita after my dog, "Kevyn the Kingslayer." COME ON! How amazing is that?!Speaking of cocktails... the incredible bartender, Olivia, bartended Red Witch magic with the amazing cocktails she made for everyone. She even dressed along with the theme, with her sword, serving vibes that was giving Night's Watch combined with Red Keep of the Bar. Everyone kept raving about every cocktail she made with style and care.When it comes to the food, The Bonnie always delivers, so of course my hopes were high for Charlie's. AND MY HOPES WERE MET! The ham and cheese toastie platter was delicious. The franks in a blanket were some of the best I've ever had. The beef sliders were a HUGE hit. And there were veggie options so we had the veggie quesadilla and the mac and cheese bites which were a crowd favorite.Overall, this party at Charlie's made me feel like Daenerys Targaryen on top of her Throne, like the Queen that was promised. “We visited on a Wednesday afternoon and it was bustling. I imagine weekend brunch is a whole vibe. The ambiance inside is inviting, warm and cozy (see photos). I appreciate the artwork, photographs and decor. It speaks to the rich heritage of Harlem and specifically to the area where the restaurant is located. There’s a decent amount of seating, some tables are closer to others than I prefer. However our table was perfect for me. You can make reservations which might be a good idea. There is also a good amount of outdoor seating. Visit their website for the policy regarding time allowed at table (to be able to accommodate more customers)… seems reasonable to me.Maia took good care of us. She was friendly, attentive without being intrusive and on point. She came back and checked on us although the restaurant was bustling as mentioned previously.There is a list of specials beautifully written on their board. With so many dishes I wanted to try… I must return (maybe for one of the live music events). I was intrigued by the fusion of food from different cuisines. I ended up ordering curry chicken sandwich with salad and plantain on the side. It was a good portion. I was full without feeling overstuffed. Definitely worth a trip to Harlem to check them out.“

“Came on a Friday night and it was not too busy. We ordered the volcano momos and the goat curry set. Enjoyed the variety of small dishes that accompanied the goat curry and rice, including the potatoes, papadam was amazing, pickled radish and the yogurt dessert. Our server was very cool and gave us pretty good tips on food to order, was okay with asking the chef for modifications to our order, and was attentive to our needs.I always have a good time at Sweet Afton, so happy to say that the service and food/drinks are staying consistently well.“

“Had a great time enjoying dinner at Lohi Rooftop. Came to enjoy a late rooftop view as summer was dying down. The menu is limited but has tasty options. “We were in Queens and asked a friend who lived in area for dinner recommendations. We are super happy he did. This place is great. All 4 of us loved our dishes and service. The place was packed but they keep it moving and everyone looks quite happy with their food. Some of the best pasta we’ve had in a long time. The mushroom pasta I had was on long thick cuts of homemade pasta cooked perfectly and the mushoom mixture was excellent and I really appreciated it cooked in white wine sauce instead of heavy cream you usually get. My wife ordered something not on the menu for her and my daughter. Home made spaghetti with vodka sauce and grilled shrimp and waiter offered meatballs and spaghetti for my daughter. They loved it. My son had the lasagna and finished every morsel. I don’t leave too many reviews but this place deserves it 100%. Thank you.“

We had Mexican style molletes (beans and pico de gallo on toast with a fried egg on top) which was declious. And the mushroom and cheese omelette was honestly one of the best omelettes I’ve had. So soft and buttery. Also had a nice cocktail list but we just had coffee today. For a nice sit down brunch was decently priced at less than $30 a person.
