“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We ordered the Caesar salad, VCR pizza, espresso pot de creme dessert and a cocktail. First of all, my cocktail (Night Rally) is soooo delish!! The Caesar salad is an extreme 10/10. I absolutely loved it! The VCR pizza… another 10/10! The sauce and pepperoni and a bit spicy for those who are sensitive to spice. Nonetheless it was phenomenal. The dessert was such a pleasant, light surprise! I asked if they have an affogato and the substitute was such a relief! We loved it. “Finally got to try the viral oxtail pizza. I tried the teriyaki oxtail, the brown stew oxtail and the sweet chili. Like many others have said, I feel like the sweet chili oxtail was the best , but all of them were good. I feel like the oxtail is very overpowering (which is a good thing) but because of that you don’t really taste the cheese but you can feel the texture of it if that makes sense. I went expecting a long waiting time, but actually I was able to walk right in and only had to wait a total of like 10 minutes to order and get my food. And I went on a Saturday evening so that was surprising.“
