“I don’t know about you, but I know that this place is a hidden gem that is in a plaza! The pizza here is really good and it’s really fresh, the pepperoni slice has a great undercarriage and the spinach mushroom slice has a lot of ingredients in it! These are old-school Italian slices old-school pizza shops with those booth seating that really nostalgic! Both my slices plus a drink was less than $10! You really can’t find this anymore anywhere with such quality! Definitely go and give them some business! I came on a Monday at 3:30 and there were a few people! Don’t let the reviews here scare you! It’s good here!“

“This has been my wife’s and my favorite spot since they opened. The atmosphere is very chill and beautiful, the staff go above and beyond and the food is always phenomenal. The Forest pizza is a fav, definitely recommend, and their seasonal specials are always worth checking out. For drinks try out an amaro or the Little Italy. Just don’t go when we’re going, so it’s easier for us to get a table ;)“

“I’ve been coming to Champions Pizza at rego park for a while now, and it never disappoints! I usually don’t have fav spots but this one might make the list! My go-to order is always the Margherita pizza, and it’s never let me down. Everything tastes fresh, the slices are always hot, and the crust is so good. The staff is always very kind, quick, & friendly!“

“Their Caesar slice is one of the best unconventional slices I've ever had. First of all, they don't reheat it, so if you're expecting a hot slice for this one you will have to wait for a fresh pie.

The slice stays completely upright, and this is key for the enjoyment of it. If the slice got soggy or floppy it would be a terrible experience. It doesn't taste like regular mozzarella on the pizza. Maybe they use a cheddar blend or something, but the choice of cheese compliments the tangy salad perfectly. They're also generous with the Parm.

Be wary when eating the Caesar slice, Parmesan cheese will fall off and possibly get on your clothes.

The other slice was the spicy vodka. Upon the first few bites this one didn't wow me like the Caesar, but towards the end I was appreciative of it. Just a solid slice, but I would likely try something different next time.

The interior is fantastic, it's unfussy but well thought out. Clearly a throwback with the patterned floor, red cups, and old school trash can. Booth and table seating. I really appreciated the self service water station which implies they care about people coming and dining in. The other amazing detail was a hand washing sink next to the trash can. No need to use the restroom after enjoying a greasy slice, and you can return to your day clean as a whistle.

The other slices looked just as inventive as the Caesar. Classic gimmick slices with a chef's touch.

Don't tell other people about this place. It would be ruined with a line out the door.“

“Ordered for the first time last night, they were super accommodating since we called at 8:45 and they close at 9:00…. They made us 5 pies and I’m was so appreciative. They were so nice and even recommended one which I absolutely loved (with potatoes!) we can’t wait to go back but to eat there so we get the Pizza Hut out of the oven! Amazing owners and such a delight to have in valley steam!! The owner explained the ingredients and concept to my husband and his friend. They can’t back telling us so about it!“

“Got the VCR 16 pie. The Cesar salad with chicken cutlet and parm garlic bread sticks. Pizza was definitely above average a smash between old world and modern style. Thin crust but not to thin. Bread sticks were classic the side garlic butter sauce is a nice complement.

The Cesar salad is as advertised incredible. 100% recommend. Dressing and cheese is perfect.
On 4 stars for service because they didnt have to go utensils at all, even when asked.

“Visited NY for the first time last week. This is by far the best pizza I've had. The owner and staff are some of the warmest and most welcoming people you'll meet.

The MVP and upside down pizzas are my favorite on their menu.“

“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“The BEST Sicilian square sourdough pizza on the planet 🌎 their sauce is organic and phenomenal, the cheese is wonderful, olives and if you feel like it Add some sausage, and the yummiest pecorino Romano shreds just topped it off. The crispiest crust and So incredibly digestible, because it’s sourdough. Sourdough is fermented and your gut loves fermented food… Love their little gem lettuce salad with their homemade dressing. Very simple here I think we ordered 3 square pies and of course brought some home The Sicilian squares heats up beautifully Just love OPS on Himrod Bushwick Brooklyn!!!! We brought our son who lives in Louisville and this time brought our daughter and boyfriend who live in San Diego and their rock star Pal who is on a tour with THE WHO. All give the square pizza A+ Excellent! The staff is warm and friendly!!!“

The handmade pasta was absolutely incredible; fresh, perfectly textured, and the kind of pasta you can immediately tell is made in-house with care. And the Neapolitan pizza? Easily one of the best I’ve had in NYC. Light, airy crust with that perfect char and high-quality ingredients that speak for themselves. The whole atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and authentically Italian without trying too hard. Absolutely a neighborhood gem!“

“I was in town for a day and didn’t realize there was a manhattan location but wanted to try them so bad I travelled 40 mins to Brooklyn and it was SO WORTH IT! They even gave me an extra slice 🥹 I did the sweet Thai chili oxtail and the brown stew oxtail pizza and it was so good even the crust was delicious on its own! I see why this place went viral now! I wish we had one in Cleveland but then again maybe not cause I’d gain 40lbs eating this weekly 😍 music was bumping and great selection, the staff was so chill and kind and didn’t make me feel like a tourist 🤣 loved the vibes here. “I live in Franklin square. And I tried every pizza spot in the area and surrounding towns. I could never find a consistent solid regular slice with no flop. Nobody takes pride in pizza making anymore. Everybody seems to be focusing on specialty pies, rolls, pinwheels etc…. I just wanted a classic regular, crispy, tasty slice. And I finally found that here! I walked into the place as a stranger, and I left as a family member…. Eddie, the owner, was the nicest person I had ever met. He treated me like family the second I walked in…. He reminded me of my dad, but actually nicer lol. People like Eddie, don’t exist anymore. He’s a machine and a great pizza maker. Runs the entire operation by himself ! 6 days a week from 11-9. Must respect to him.“
