“Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“Capri is absolutely fantastic! The food is amazing, the service is warm and attentive, and everything came out so quickly.

We started with the fish tacos, mozzarella sticks, and tuna tartare—each one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For the main, we had the rigatoni pasta, cooked perfectly and full of rich flavor. I also got the strawberry iced tea, which was refreshing, delicious, and a true 10/10!

“Went here to meet and friend and we've been coming back weekly ever since. The coffee is amazing. I gave it four stars for food because the sandwich I got was too spicy and and the level of heat wasn't properly indicated.

The ambiance is amazing and the owner fantastic. He stays and watches over the place like a proud poppa. Super chill and friendly. I'll definitely be going back next week.

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! “Homey’s Bistro is the place to go to in Glen Head. Across from the LIRR Parking is easy. They serve breakfast, amazing lunch and NOT TO FORGET, the donuts 🍩 and cinnamon rolls, which are massive. Three try one of their amazing iced espresso. They also have beer from a local distributor and started last week. They’re doing wine and crate trays on the evenings of Friday and Saturday. i’ll be going this Friday tomorrow to check that one out. I will give this place five stars friendly. They have their own pastry chef on staff, which makes everything fresh daily. Check it out.“
