“It has truly been overdue when it comes to typing this review but i absolutely love this place . As soon as i walk in i request my favorite waitress Bernadette !!!!! (You wont regret it ). I ask for the porterhouse medium of course along with two sides i can’t ever turn down . Mac and cheese is flavorful with a side of a mash with a well balanced seasoned steak . Hospitality from my favorite server makes it all worth it and I’ll continue to come back not just for the food but for Bernadette! . This review was needed after today’s special visit . “This will become your go to place for BBQ! Highly recommend. We had some amazing food. Pastrami is my go to and I have had it at over 50 places this was a favorite. Everything is homemade and you can tell the chef is passionate!! All sauces served on the side so you can choose your own sauce adventure. I never thought I would be equally as excited about ketchup as I was the fries but here we are. It was so laid back and there was no pressure! This place has very knowledgeable staff. I can’t wait to go back and eat again.“

“I recently visited Yangji, a fantastic lamb skewer restaurant. The skewers are perfectly seasoned and cooked, full of flavor every time. The staff are super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for enjoying great food with friends or family. “I recently stopped by Hudson Smokehouse in the Bronx and ordered the brisket, turkey, mac & cheese, and baked beans.

The brisket was the standout: tender, properly smoked, and sliced thick enough to hold its structure without drying out. It had a deep, smoky flavor without being overpowered by sauce. The smoked turkey was equally impressive—juicy, well-seasoned, and a great lighter counterpoint to the brisket.

On the sides, the mac & cheese was rich and comforting with a solid balance of creaminess and bite, while the baked beans had good depth—slightly sweet, slightly savory, and clearly simmered with care rather than treated as an afterthought.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall atmosphere felt casual and unpretentious—exactly what you want when the focus is on the food. If you’re looking for reliable, well-executed barbecue in the Bronx, Hudson Smokehouse is absolutely worth a visit.“

“One of our church members had a wedding reception on Saturday and used Westchester picnic. What a great experience! They arrived on time and brought everything for the lunch. They even provide their own garbage bags and containers. In addition, they take away the garbage. But most of all, the food was delicious! The wedding service was a little late in getting started but they accommodated us by staying later. The servers and staff were amazing. Please don't hesitate to use their service. I highly recommend them.“

“I’m something of a BBQ critic having grown up in the South and lived there for 40 or so years and I’ve had some bad pork experiences in NYC. So much so that I’ve told my friends, “NYC does every type of cuisine well EXCEPT BBQ” I respectfully retract that statement after having AU Jus’ SUPERB pulled pork sandwich this evening. I’m going to have to join a 12 step program to stop myself from eating it every day. So good it’ll make your tongue slap your brains out.“

“Mother and daughter day trip to the area. We took a chance and decided to try The Pitt for a late lunch. Wonderful and surprising exoerience. Small place with a big heart!

The gentleman there was obviously a neighborhood treasure. Customer after customer came in and engaged in short but thoughtful banter. He was friendly and made us feel welcomed.

The food was very good! The service was kind, thoughtful and genuine. The atmosphere was warm and homey. Definitely more of a take out or dine and go quick spot with limited seating.

We had the pulled pork sandwich and brisket on a biscuit. You pay for the sides. Coleslaw was included. We got chocolate chip cookies to share. Pricey but delish!

Parking was free and right in front. I have a feeling that parking may vary at different times of day.“

The sweet potato fries were excellent and enough for two people. The chips that come with the burger were also good. My wife had the regular burger with no cheese and an order of regular fries. She really enjoyed it and said it was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, the owner, Mel, greeted us, took our order and chatted with us while our order was being prepared. We were given a little disc that lit up and vibrated when the order was ready to be picked up at the counter. One of the best burgers around! A little pricy, but definitely worth it! We'll be going back for another delicious mouthwatering experience!“

“They have Little boba and Cupbob on the same location. Recently discovered the place and started coming here for the milk tea mostly. Good food options too.

There are two self ordering kiosks inside. One by the entrance which has the full menu of Little boba and a few options of Cupbob. As you walk in, you will see the other ordering kiosk which has the complete Cupbob menu and a few milt tea and other drink options. Both kiosks are card only. If you prefer to pay with cash or need assistance ordering, you can walk up to the ordering counter upfront.

Should definitely try the honeydew milk tea. They have different milk alternatives for folks with dietary restrictions. They also have wide varieties of jellies and bobas to go with the drink. I personally like the mango jelly and coffee jelly. Staff are always polite and helpful. Service is always top notch and quick for the drinks. Might face a delay with the food if you don’t order ahead though since there always seems to be a continuous influx of online orders coming in.

They have limited indoor seating and limited parking. You can try parking across the street if in a pinch.“

“By far my fave kbbq spot. The meats are high quality and the servers are always very friendly. Their marinated short ribs and house special spicy pork are my absolute faves. Love how the charcoal flavor gets into the meat. Their mool nengmyun (buckwheat noodles in a cold broth) compliments their bbq meats really well, and their broth is the real deal. The Korean-style beef tartare (over seasoned sushi rice) is phenomenal and my must-eat every time I go.“

“I went there by myself and order the grilled mackerel and seafood tofu soup combo. Everything tasted great. The seafood tofu soup was flavorful and not too spicy. I love the side dishes too. I wish I had a bigger stomach to finish everything. I saw other tables doing KBBQ, the meats seemed to be of high quality and offers table side service. The service staff were very attentive.“

“Thanksgiving dinner was a little underwhelming. I ordered the take out turkey dinner. No butter for cornbread or sweet potato, no utensils offered. Dessert was a tiny donut drop, not impressive. It was budget priced, but you get what you pay for. Overall, not awful but carelessly presented.“

“Terrible service from the cashier...the chicken is very good...but they should train staff...I am a person who works in the industry...I asked the lady to put...the chicken separately and the potatoes...and the rice, they have hot bags that...cost 7 cents each...if you use three...to give me my order...whole chicken with potatoes and rice...it costs 21 cents... .if you keep the aluminum that costs 50 cents...you don't have to charge me extra I'm just asking you to give them to me separately because I come on a scooter and it's not easy for me...to carry my food...on a tray big. Prices are so reasonable considering today's absurdity and the food is great. I had the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, both tasted great. My foodie fiance loved it as well and she's a tough crowd.

If you skipped this place before, turn back and give it a shot. The guy who helped me was very polite, which is rare to see good in person customer service these days. Trust me, this joint should have way more than 30 reviews.“
